HITMAN 3 - Modding Thread

This is a bit of a wierd one, but I just saw this video on the internet:

And tried it myself, by hip firing instead of aiming.

And it looks and feels absolutely awesome compared to what we currently have!

It looks nicer, it feels powerful, but aim is “gun dropped from shelf”. Is there any way or idea how to mod the game to remove it’s zoom in when you aim, and remain the “hipfirezoom”? But still getting the zoomed gunspread?

This would move the combat to a new level in my opinion!

I’m French (Sorry for my bad english)

Someone could update the “Hitman 3 MinimalGUI_1.2.CT” mod from our super creator HMBM47?

Because the table no longer works and our friend “HMBM47” has not reworked it for several months.

THANKS

FINALLY figured out a fix to my Minimal GUI script.
All it took was a little push from Pro_Long (6 months later) for me to look into it again. :smirk:

How to use: If you use the Lua script, holding down the left or right mouse button makes the GUI visible again.
(ie The gun reticle when aiming. Can also be useful to show UI elements when walking around.)

INSTALLATION
Download latest version of Cheat Engine.
https://www.cheatengine.org/

  1. Open Cheat Engine and HITMAN 3.
  2. Attach Cheat Engine to HITMAN 3.
  3. After you have loaded a level open the .CT and:
3a. Execute the Lua script. (Ctrl+Alt+L) so holding the left or right mouse button will make the GUI visible again.
    or
3b. Manually Enable “Toggle GUI”, “RemoveNoSaveIcon” and “NPC Interaction Highlight Fix”.

Hello everybody! Help me please. I wanted to replace the absolution_with gloves suit with militiaSpecOps_m_actor0.
It didn’t work (The game crashed when I launch the mission in a suit. It flew once during the launch … Please help!

Please refer to the instructions again.
If followed correctly, there shouldn’t be any issues.

In summary:

  1. Extract all hash depends of 00A111AEB82FD543.TEMP
  2. In the extracted folder,
    a. Delete chunk0 folders,
    b. Transfer folders in chunk1patch1 folder into chunk1 folder. Overwrite files if prompted.
Transfer folders in chunk1patch2 folder into chunk1 folder. Overwrite files if prompted.
Transfer folders in chunk21patch1 folder into chunk21 folder. Overwrite files if prompted.
    c. In the folder ALLDEPENDS\chunk21\TEMP rename:
    00A111AEB82FD543.TEMP
    00A111AEB82FD543.TEMP.meta
    to
    0075CC9E284E3236.TEMP
    0075CC9E284E3236.TEMP.meta
  3. Rename ALLDEPENDS folder to chunk0patch2 (Or whatever the next patch number is in your Runtime folder)
  4. With RPKG Tool
    a. Generate> Generate RPKG From Folder
    b. Copy chunk0patch2.rpkg file (Or whatever number you made it) into HITMAN 3’s Runtime folder.
    Default location: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\HITMAN3\Runtime

Edit: Hell… Let’s automate the whole entire process! :smirk:
Edit 2: Fixed small error in script. “patch2” was being copied before “patch1”. Oops!
Edit 3: Added one addition setting, so you can also swap out outfits that are FROM chunk0.

Edit 4: Go to original post to download Outfit Swapper script and view manual directions.
https://www.hitmanforum.com/t/hitman-3-modding-thread/127/916

Original post:
Added a .bat script for step 2 to simplify things a bit.
No need to manually delete chunk0 folders or transfer the patch folders to their base folders anymore.

Automatic script for parts 2.a-2.b.
Download and put .bat script into the ALLDEPENDS/[Hash].TEMP folder.
Run .bat.

Since I don’t have that much Time anymore, but also because the unmodability of everything, but Dubai in H3 Maps seems to be exclusive to me, I will step away from Refaced for a while and do some smaller, quick release projects. Below is what I want to do first, so I’m open for Suggestions, with the exception of 47 Suit Replacements, since we got way too many of those already.

CICADA in Sapienza:
Replace the Caruso Guards with CICADA Guards, of course using only the 7 original Models.

Edit: While doing that I MAY also replace the actual Suit Guards with The Event Security IDK yet.

I know nothing about modding but is curious, is how contracts are handled changed radically in H3 compared to H2?

Only server-side related to publishing

Is night possible on the main Sapienza mission? It wouldn’t be easier already having The Author and The Icon out there?

You can adjust the spread of hip-fired weapons easily with the repository file.

Only used the existing Models as I said, with the exception of the unused seventh model, which can be seen in the third picture.

Made a “Splinter Cell” inspired suit by taking the Mercenary suit (from Dartmoor’s cutscene) and adding night vision goggles :grinning:

I want this sooo badly :flushed: (minus the CICADA patch that is) It would make for the ultimate spec ops infiltrator suit.

It also reminded me of the similar outfit (sans some of the protective gear) initially used for the Heavenly Guard commandos in The Pen and the Sword briefing. Wish these guys would make an in-mission appearance, along with wielding those customized AKs.

:stuck_out_tongue: always loved that briefing, they are a bit different than the CICADA mercenaries but I think they could be made as an outfit using some bits and pieces here and there, also those rifles and standard RS-15 it seems :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
