I think personal bodyguards are great it’s just that they’re way too smart as AI. They don’t pick up guns for example. Robert Knox has the best bodyguard in the game because he’s just a regular guard AI-wise that Knox defers to.
Not sure if is ok for me to post my small review here too but I got in the post and it’s still early days(not tried replaying levels etc.), but first reaction after finishing the trilogy and looking at it all three together as one product/game is that I am beyond pleased with how it turned out and I really did tear up.
The whole thing coming together into one (still got to wait one day to do that I think) is really whats gonna make it all work, big success on the initial concept. Very grateful to ioi that we are here now and this all got made and finished is what I’m mostly thinking.
H2 has an 84?
I know that’s a damn good score but I feel it deserves at least a 90.
I can think of a FEW flaws but other than those, it’s near perfect IMHO.

Hitman 1 established the gameplay and both hitman 2 and hitman 3 are very similar with a few tweaks sprinkled here and there.
Yeah tbh I can think of MANY flaws with Hitman 2 but it didn’t stop it from being by second most played game ever. I was also surprised it didn’t get a higher score.
the problem with lots of the tweaks is that they’re useless and/or dumb. for example, nobody asked to nerf the breaching charges, nobody asked to add suit enforcers to the first level of the entire game, nobody asked to remove holiday hoarders and lock it behind some time frame and so on and so forth
IMO those are all pretty minor tweaks, but still annoying ones. I was more referring to the big ones like mirrors, shortcuts, briefcases, etc.
True, I miss H2016’s hand-to-hand animations.
these aren’t tweaks, these are new mechanics. my point is that nobody thought the ones i mentioned (and many more like getting caught during a frisk) needed any fixing
I see. Yeah they definitely made some unnecessary fixes. Not being able to go into frisks with weapons is really silly. It’s a shame it will likely return in Hitman 3

Btw does anybody know if it is possible to port killing animations from Absolution, since what we have now seem to be strait out of that game?
All these reviews are so good to see! I mean I would play it anyway regardless of the reviews but the odds that there will be another hitman game. Maybe even this generation will be much higher now. It is also fully deserved of course. Cant wait to play it and look in every corner of all maps.
The game is fantastic on PS5 but unfortunately according to DF it’s not running at full 4K
Finished the game this morning, and LOVED it. Thanks so much to everyone at IOI, @Mattias_IOI, this is the perfect capstone to the perfect trilogy for Hitman fans. The ending of my first playthrough of the Mendoza level is easily my favourite ever moment in 17 years of playing this franchise: amazing.
So glad to see that the wider world is recognising your work as much as we long-term fans are, you all deserve it in spades!
Ok , now I finish the last mission, with all gear and locations in same roof with that conclusion, it was my dream.
10/10 up to Hitman 1 and 2 .

Absolutely in love with the game, IO really took the in-game story elements to a completely new level. “Closing Statement” on Mendoza is completely insane, I never thought we’ll get to see something like this on the current engine.
