The main reason why there is so much discussion is not the price, but the fact that nobody really knows what the product is. Some are optimistic (people like me, who will buy this in a heartbeat, based on IO’s track record), some are pessimistic (also understandable), but nobody knows for sure. And until we know, there’s no telling whether it’s worth the price or not.
This is problematic. I’m not clamoring for a price drop. I think that pricedrop demand is premature in any case, and also self-evident because the consumer always wants it cheaper. But additional, robust information of what to expect is really necessary. It’s surprising IO didn’t realise that before releasing this 7 Sins announcement. I hope they’ll come with additional info soon.
