interesting, I guess we’re looking at a 6 week season right off the bat, and hopefully a beefy roadmap to come with it
So the next one is in a month and ten days. By my account, that means the content will be 33% better.
Just ran through Berlin and i just connected the #resort her pictures mentioned and all the graffiti that says ‘RESORT’ all over the place. Not sure if it’s for the easter map or what.
Ok I ll admit this … Reading this Deluxe related answer on a seperate last question concerning the SevenDeadlySins FAQ, somehow left a bad taste in my mouth…
I have one last-moment suggestion , that might add more value for owners of the DeluxePack and incentivise them(at least myself :p) to buy the Sins ealier.
IOI could announce a permanent in-game store discount of the whole 29.99€ SinPack when the Deluxe Pack is detected.
I would say that 47% off would be a “deal to die for”
A more Agent-friendly way of applying such discount for Deluxe owners would be to announce that 4/7 Sin Packs (I would suggest 1st 3rd 5th & 7th ) will be included into the 34.99€ Deluxe Pack.
This way Deluxe Owners will be tempted enough and might buy more passionately their 3 missing Sins when they are released , paying essentially half of the whole SinPack (4.99€ x 3 ) to get them all.
I don’t know…I really hope the Sins will exceed my expectations and prove to be fully worthy of their price, but personally ,for now I think I should wait for a discount on the 7pack ,that will unfortunately come after the last of them arrives…7months later
Well, exactly. But if they do one of those it should really be THE selling point to base the arc of the pass around. Honestly how many dedicated hitman fans prefer escalations for either no reward or a reskin/leaderboard reward to having a new take on a sandbox (on the same map perhaps, but a different assassination to play with). Escalations are a brief diversion, a gameplay snack, not a meal. If we aren’t getting any new maps we should at least get some new stories to play on existing maps
That’s why I’m going in expecting 7 escalations, but I do think there’s a chance it’s more. We’ll have to see. I certainly wouldn’t advise anyone buy it expecting anything more than 7 escalations though. Judging by the video they’re escalations that change the levels a lot, but again we’ll have to see just how much.
I certainly don’t blame anyone for taking a wait and see approach.
I’ll probably only buy this when the collections are finished so that I don’t just pay 30 USD for escalations.
Would be interesting to see how long it took IO in the past to discount the Patient Zero/Expansion Passes.
Is there anywhere that tracks that sort of information to see how long a potential wait for a sale would take?
The GOTY DLC for 2016 first went on sale in December, just over a month after launch for about 20% off (PS+ players had it on sale for 30% off.) It then went on sale again 3 months later in March, for 50% off.
The H2 Expansion Pass first went on sale in June of 2019, 7 months after it first launched, for around 30% off?
I don’t see this going on sale very soon, or possibly even until all Acts are out. And I don’t blame IOI for doing that.
Thanks!
I’m prepared to play the long game with this one. $29.99 for (possibly) just 7 escalations and some reskins isn’t worth it, considering what Patient Zero was at launch ($20) and the amount of replayability that has compared to what this will (possibly) have since I never go back to play escalations.
How do they charge such arbitrary prices? Roll a dice and pretend the result is USD=EUR?
4.99 USD is 4.25 EUR.and 3.62 GBP.
4.99 EUR is 4.26 GBP and 5.86 USD.
They will be veeery cautious with hinting anything beyond escalations, I think they manage expectations pretty good currently. Even if the content is disappointing, at least we know what to expect. . I think they have been pretty sttaight with this one. Each sin is one escalation and a few reskins. It is just peoples wishful thinking that implies there might be bonus maps down the road.
IO was pretty clear on what the Deluxe pack contains as well, yet people get annoyed that the new DLC is not free of charge for Deluxe owners. I almost feel bad for IO on the expectation management side.
I disagree there (to a degree). There was nothing to say exactly how many Deluxe escalations there would be, or that they would all be shoved out very quickly and it would all be over in just over two months. If I’d known it was one per location and six total - I would’ve gone for the Standard Edition tbh. I did assume that they would at least last a longer period to make it worth the money, but when you’ve got no information stating otherwise, its understandable that people’s expectations then get a little out of hand.
Which is why I wish IO were more forthcoming with information on what we would be buying here. I’ve been left feeling somewhat done over with the whole Deluxe thing, that there’s no way I’m willing to go into 7DS blind without knowing exactly what I’ve got myself into.
The promotional image showed 6 cards on the panel that mentions the Deluxe Escalations. That was a very good hint imho. Or at least it should have caused you to doubt if you expected twice of that or more.
I overall enjoyed the Deluxe Pack but it should of been stated in writing on what to expect with how many escalations and additional items instead of relying on images of cards.
IO really just needs to state what is included in these content packs then I think alot of the confusion would be solved as well at least try and temper expectations on what future packs would include with the SDS pass. (Can’t wait for the I thought: we were getting… not this, comments)
That was never IO’s strong side. And to be honest being able to tell the content for the next 8 months (not just the plan of it) or something is a tough thing. One mistake and the customer can sue them for not shipping what was promised.
So far expect them to only ship a larger and maybe more visually altered Deluxe Escalation like pack. If you hope for more it will be a positive surprise then.
Perhaps then the first 3-4 packs with a stayed tuned for more?
Least could then get a sense of expect from the rest with potential for a pleasant surprise. The after the 3rd or 4th pack is out, announce the rest.
It doesn’t need to be super in-depth either just
Act 1- 1 premium escalation, suit and 2 item
Act 2- 1 premium escalation, suit and item
Then more details closer to release of each pack.
What do think 47 will do for these ‘7 Deadly Sins’?
- Committing
- Punishing

Punishing would be a real letdown. We could probably find a target for every sin easily by going through his previous hits, so that would bring nothing new.
Does anyone know what time the update drops?
