From the patch notes
Using The Devil’s Cane as a melee weapon in other contracts will cause it to generate a Greedy Little Coin
Not 100% sure what it means but it sounds awesome
my guess would be that every time you use it to KO an enemy you get a free coin. which sounds a little bit p2w but theres no way of knowing yet
The thing that make me really laugh the most is just to think about that blog post about the launch of Hitman 3. All was so “nice and simple” and now they are starting in doing the same mistake with 200 different dlc packs and things like this, those things are exactly what casual gamers hate and go away from the game.
Here we go again IOI you’ll never learn.
Sounds like you can generate coins with it.
I wonder if community featured contracts will return with these seasons of sin. The theme of the contracts could be whatever sin that season is based off.
So lets assume for a moment that coins are the only way to distract someone (i.e: pistol shots, mixtape, blunt/lethal melees all do this). How likely are people going to utilise this cane for extra coins when there are tons of other variables?
unless I’m doing a no-KO run i can see myself very rarely bringing coins from now on, if the cane works how it seems it will. every map has so many free KOs
I like that the cane does something different. Now you could play the game: Who finishes the mission with the most coins. Aka pacify everyone.
Imagine if we had this cane back when tuppence a wish was a thing. Just KO all of Bangkok and collect the coins
so in a few minutes. Thank you!
i feel like a right gimp honestly, all that work for 3 fancy schmancy gold coins when now i can just smack someone on the head for even better ones
Okay so the Greed Pack is now £3.99 in the UK, not £4.19… what?
In a way yeah coins are useful in every regard. It’s easy to assume it’s p2w when instead they’re as niche as they’re useful. The almond dagger was sorta like this but utilising those items didn’t require a step to get them - the poison and dagger itself is available whereas the cane would have to be used once to get the coins.
I’m interested to see how people are onboard with this cane. How likely are people going to flip for something being useful?
IO must have one of these canes to beat our wallets empty.
yeah it seems just a little bit p2w but as far as speedrunning goes i dont think it’ll provide any sort of advantage. the black almond dagger though i heavily dislike and wish it had been canned along with the electrocution phone.
According to the Patch Notes, we have a new Elusive Target in Hitman 3 called “The Collector”.
HITMAN 3 Elusive Target
The countdown for the first HITMAN 3 Elusive Target starts with the release of the March Patch. You’ll see a ticking clock in the menu counting down to April 9th, when The Collector will arrive in Dartmoor for 10 days.
Someone called “The Collector” is probably going to be very greedy, by nature.
I’m predicting to go along with the new “Seasons of Sin”, we’ll get 7 Elusive Targets in Hitman 3, with each target personifying one of the seven deadly sins.
I think whether the cane gets usage depends on if it will be one handed and concealable. Realistically, how often do you need multiple coins? Can also just throw the cane for luriing NPCs
is the greed pack available for anyone yet? it’s not up on xbox, i want to buy it asap so i can get the self hatred out the way
Realistically the parking meter is running somewhere so you’re gonna need coins. Just so happens you got your trusty minting machine as a cane with you.
