HITMAN 3: Seven Deadly Sins (NEW DLC)

PlayStation, not sure why the price change tbh

Does the map have a lot of changes or even a filter to give it a different look?

Just some coins all over the place in the starting location. And the screen flashes gold when you kill.

Otherwise it seems to be stock standard Dubai.

Thanks for the reply. It’s even less changes to the map that I anticipated :frowning:

Sounds like I’ll be holding off purchasing for the moment. If the remaining six Sin Seasons don’t feature at least a couple of Bonus Missions between them then the current pricing is WAY too high IMO, and it will definitely be a case of waiting for a deep sale.

Mo’ missions, mo’ money, IOI folks.

This is amazing so we just have 12 days for the event and will be 18:00 but still can’t play?

IOI really really really have to sort out their server issues. This by all accounts is not even a popular update but it has driven everything but Epic into the ground…

I bought Greed pack alone and was 89 Pesos Mx, so it wasn’t too bad but seems paying for the whole bundle at once isn’t really worthy at all.

ok so i havent played yet but the changes i’ve seen mentioned by people:

  • map has a filter to make it more orange
  • the starting location has some new decorations including Big Frog
  • new Diana lines and small starting cutscene
  • NPC voices are now deep and there are demonic laughs in the background

thats it

Say… should we make seperate threads for each content of the DLC?

Yes, we already have threads for individual Escalations anyway.

Since we’re back to the cost of this thing, someone on the economics of games thread (I don’t care to look up who) said that they like to use a formula of 1 dollar per hour of entertainment that a game provides. Some quick math and a lookup for total play time means I should have spent about 200 dollars on Hitman 3 and well over 700 dollars for Hitman 1-3, all told. I don’t know if I’ll get 5 hours of joy out of the Greed DLC, but 5 bucks doesn’t feel like it’s exorbitant to me considering how under-priced the base game was by that rule. For 5 bucks you can’t even get a basic Lego set that will be done and built in 30 minutes or so.

I played the first part of the Greed escalation for about 15 minutes or so and once you kill the first target, it points you to a second one and then a third (that’s where I stopped for now). You can choose to just exit the level or go after another target so there could be more play-ability here than just a single whack with a stick.

I still say buy it you think it’s worth it and don’t if you don’t.

When every platform but Epic comes out of network maintenance I will consider whether or not I was thinking to buy it.

i certainly hope the rest of the greed packs arent going to be as lacklustre as this

Excellent. That’s the kind of added detail I was expecting for this kind of Escalation (and that was feasible for the team at IO)

The 7 Sins Collection and Greed DLC is also out now on the Canadian PS Store.
It’s 40$ for the bundle and 7$ for the individual DLC. Good thing it means that – if I so choose – I can buy into one DLC, then get the bundle, and I’ll still have saved 2$ on buying it all individually.

Still gonna wait on this though.

Ah, cool.
Not sure how or why there’s a unique feature where “coins transfer between levels”. Unless there’s some scoring bonus for collecting more coins. But the idea of “Here’s 3 targets, now either Exit or kill some more” sounds appealing for an escalation.

There’s challenges that exist for “exit with 5/10/20/30 coins”. So I guess it exists solely for that.

“Replayability”

Lol that’s kinda weird for challenges. If they grant XP though, it’s useful for people who still need Mastery. But – correct me if I’m wrong, I know nothing about the escalation itself – does that mean this Escalation can go up to over 20 targets in total? (Judging by the trailer, targets you kill drop coins?)

I have played more Hitman than any video game since 2016, probably a few hours on most days since 2016. I think if I was on the formula of one dollar per hour of entertainment, then I would need a second mortgage on my house to pay for the Hitman Trilogy…
