HITMAN 3 Soundtrack / OST - Discussion

A good portion, if not all of Hitman trailers’ music aren’t in-game. And I can understand why - they’re moreorless designed to give their effects to what the trailer is shown, in-game ones tend to serve elsewhere to that effect.

I mean it´s not surprising that noeneon is the author of this particular track. It was pretty much granted the moment they confirmed to be working on a track for H3 and us knowing there´s gonna be a nightclub level. Still, having to get the confirmation via a YT comment and not in the OST release itself is dickish, no matter it´s just one song and well-paid for.

Then again, that´s the thing with a lot of soundtracks. I constantly have to remind people that Chaos Theory´s soundtrack wasn´t all Amon Tobin´s doing, or that the MW2 was done by Lorne Balfe, not Hans Zimmer (who did just the main title song and keeps getting credit from people for the whole thing lol).

EDIT: This comment aged extremely poorely after subsequent clarifications on the track´s authorship and should thus be completely ignored :no_mouth:

Understandable. Yet a lot of it would/could still fit well. At the very least they could´ve released it in the OST.

I’ll be theorizing here for a bit and say these tracks are probably only designed as part of a track and not fully-articulated as a complete track. The OST includes full tracks, with the trailers it’s rather lofty what the song is. Licensed tracks are exempt to this.

I should know this from watching videos on YouTube and if it had the track that they composed themselves, if they get asked for the song most often than not they’d answer “it’s not a complete track, it’s just for that 2 second clip”.

Devastating to think that the music used in the launch trailer and announcement trailer may never see light of day. I will cry

I really thought that the music from the announcement trailer would be played at the club location, imagine dropping through the skylight and climbing down the interior of the club with the announcement music playing

Has Salem posted the soundtrack for the Carpathian Mountains yet? It’s been a week.

hes probably just busy

Like cake said, your work on the rave music was fantastic :+1:

Definitely one of my favourites of the trilogy

I want to make sure everyone knows that all of the music in HITMAN 3 was composed by Niels Bye Nielsen, including the Club Hölle track from Berlin. No other artist was involved in composing music for HITMAN 3.

We’re investigating a situation but I can confirm that all of the music in HITMAN 3 was composed by Niels Bye Nielsen.

Does anyone have any contact details to reach out to Bjarke Niemann? I’d absolutely love to purchase a clean version of the Mindy-Jones-vocals-version of “Champions Of The Wild Side” (the song used to soundtrack the HITMAN 3 Launch Trailer 4K video), but as far as I can tell the song hasn’t had an official release anywhere.

I got in touch with Mindy Jones’ management company and agents to ask if the song was available for purchase anywhere, and they were kind enough to reply thanking me for my interest but saying that the song was owned by the original writer, Bjarke Niemann, and that as far as they knew he had no plans to release the track commercially.

I’m conscious that I don’t want to hassle Mr Niemann himself, but if anyone knows how to reach his agents/PR (whose job it will be to field these kind of public queries), I’d like to send them a polite enquiry asking if the Mindy Jones version of the song might ever be considered for any kind of commercial release, because I for one would love to throw some money their way to add a copy of it to my music collection.

I couldn’t find any contact details on Google, but if any of our Danish HMF-ers might be able to find details that I (as an English speaker only) can’t find due to my lack of Danish language skills then I’d really love to politely ask the question to Mr Niemann’s management?

EDIT - the best I’ve been able to do is find a page for “Lightwave Empire” at Lightwave Empire – Big Deal Music, which is apparently Mr Niemann’s latest musical project (from what I can find in a search). Going to drop them an email at their address [email protected] and see if they can help.

EDIT #2 - The email to [email protected] bounced back saying that no “info” address existed at the domain. This is the address they give on their website for general enquiries, so they either don’t want random folk hitting them up and you need to know the secret ‘real’ address (in which case, I’m shit out of luck), or they have gone dormant/stopped trading, which might be the case as their last update to any kind of socials etc was in November 2020.

…buuut! I did find the website for a business called Chrome Horse (http://www.chromehorse.one/) which looks to be a partnership between Bjarke Niemann and another composer called Justin Schoening, and IOI and Hitman are mentioned in their previous clients/work (along with some visuals from the original 2015 HITMAN Announcement trailer), so maybe this is the correct vehicle to get in touch with to ask about Champions Of The Wild Side.

I’ve sent an email to the address listed on their site ([email protected]) and it hasn’t bounced back, so let’s see if this gets us one step closer to finding out whether the full song might ever get released? I hope so, because it’s an amazing song and I think it would be great for both Mr Niemann and us as Hitman fans if we could give him some cash to get hold of a copy.

So, given this turn of events so to say regarding the authorship of the Club Hölle track, I´m wondering, who exactly composed the drivers lounge (and paddocks) music for Miami in H2? Was it Niels as well?

Since IO stressed that, the credits should tell us who made it. If only Niels is in there, then yes.

They stressed only H3, not H2, that´s why I´m wondering. Would be good to know to avoid this in the future. We´ve been under the impression for the past two years that those tracks were composed by another author, without IO stating anything to the contrary all that time (as far as I know).

I mean IO also only now noticed that neoneon did claim some tracks. They might have not noticed us talking about it. :stuck_out_tongue:

That´s the thing that surprises me. I was under the impression that it was a rather widely known thing among the community (and by extension IO), both on the forum and on YT :joy:

I feel the need to step in and clear up a couple of things before further misunderstandings take hold:

As Clemens stated above, I composed everything on the HM3 Soundtrack.
Not a note was written or produced by anyone else.

As for HM2, everything on the Original Soundtrack release was composed by me.
Some tracks you’ll not find on that release are tracks played as source music in various locations, like the Miami Driver’s Lounge and surrounding areas.

The music here is a collection of licensed tracks, as credited in the game, and tracks created for the game by Dynamedion.
I did not write these tracks, including the Driver’s Lounge EDM.

Phew, there it is. I hope that’ll put an end to all the “who wrote what” speculations

I’m new to this forum and above all: Thanks for all the kind words about the music! Truly appreciated.
