HITMAN 3 - Steam Release

With the new marketing push there’s bound to be quite a few new people interested in the game in all platforms, and the free starter package is the perfect place to try it out first.

As for concurrent Steam numbers, they are very much accurate. They are updated every 10 seconds or so.

Might be because of VR ?
Which would suck because i dont own VR gear.
Still i think they should make steam release with little bit of discount, atleast for people who own previous games.
But even if im not happy with price i still bought it because fuck it its Hitman .

Don’t think so. Because PS4 include VR mode without additional payment.

YOUR ENTITLEMENTS DONT WORK IN STEAM H3 DEMO

The absolute fuckers have decided Steam is the one place you don’t deserve the Free Starter Pack. Even if you own 2/3 of all WoA content

Wow, bet you’re glad you waited in a queue for hours to discover this!

Somehow I’m not surprised. I’m not sure it’s even technically possible for the entitlements to work on a demo.
Btw, try closing the game and open it again, i do remember that in Hitman 2 I had it to launch once and only then H1 was added to the DLC, and I had to relaunch the game to play

That would be why THEY chose it to be a demo… Unlike H2 in Steam which is “Free Starter Pack”

Yeah thought of that too, nothing :frowning:

I assume it’s not intentional since they specifically said you would be able to do this with no issues. That said it really looks like there wasn’t any attempts to even test if this was working beforehand.

No, they said people playing Hitman 3 would be able to with no issues. This is not Hitman 3, this is Hitman 3 “Demo”

They’ve dealt with this whole issue before with H2 in Steam, they know how it works and they decided to make it a “Demo” instead of “Starter Pack” unlike last time on Steam

I do have a theory. Can you check Hitman 3’s own store page and check the Hitman 1 and 2 access DLCs and see if any show up as “owned”? I assume what’s basically happening is that theyre trying to give you the DLCs, but they are the Hitman 3 Full Game App DLCs. Hitman Demo is a separate app and thus can’t use them.

They are not. I suspect they will not be until I log into non-demo H3 for the first time

Which I won’t be doing because I’m not buying H3 twice

Like i said, i cannot imagine this being actually intentional . IOI probably didn’t understand demos are treated as separate applications . The thing that reflects really poorly on them however is that they literally only needed to test this system exactly once to understand what the issue was.

Unlikely, they know how steam works (see: h2), and it not being marketed as FSP but rather a demo makes me doubtful.

The demo shows up in the library with a “free starter pack” logo. It genuinely looks like incompetance to me. They already got this right with Hitman 2 on Steam and Hitman 3 on Epic so how did they manage to mess it up here.

It seems that my inference is correct.

Yup, you were!

Very sad for Legacy players

I was thinking about buying H3 on steam… I’ll wait a little bit
I’ll look at it when everything is fixed

I bought the full version of H2 on steam. A year ago, I transferred it (including archiving) to EGS and purchased the H3 Standard Version on EGS. It seems that I can only stay in EGS, but EGS is too difficult to use. There is no community and so on… I really miss my days in steamH2…

IOI’s own pretend death is a symbol of their own destruction - unless they can turn the tide like 47?
EDIT:IOI is basically only doing a collection of seven crimes this year, and the rest are our hard-working players.

Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 was $60 as well, but had massive bug issues - still has a lot of them and missing content to this day - yet that game had over a million concurrent players at launch if I remember correctly.
