HITMAN 3 - Technical Support

Are the servers back online? Or I am the only one on the ps4 with this problem…

It seems like the servers were never down, but the connection issue is affecting many for the majority of time.

I still can’t get in after 36 hours. This is ridiculous. It’s a single player game. Same issue every time I try to launch the game. No fix suggested on this forum has helped at all.

Description : Can’t connect. Failed to find the configuration files. No amount of deleting roaming files files can fix this now. I was also a victim of the Mastery Level reset bug so the two can probably be related.

Steps to reproduce: Try to connect by opening the game.

Frequency : All the time.

I have yesterday, I have to install again and delete all files from hitman 3 in ps4, after that no problems apart of the things I loose in carryover like requiem

But you have hitman2 ? Just with the pass …

I’m not sure what you mean, I do have hitman 2 and 1 on my steam platform but I decided to get the hit man 2 maps for hit man 3 since it was on a big sale but it isn’t working.

You’ve purchased the wrong access pass
“HITMAN 3 Access Pass: HITMAN 2 Expansion Pass” is just two DLC packs and not the main HITMAN 2 game
And If you had it on steam, you shouldn’t have even bought it. They are trying to make this possible for everyone who had H1 and H2 on steam, to use the levels for Free in HITMAN 3.
It’s not just ready, yet.
But, if you can’t wait, you can try purchasing the main HITMAN 2 Access Pass now

Thank you so much! So there will be a way to eventually have the H1 and H2 maps available, but just not now? Either way thanks a lot !

If you are playing on PC - I have found that the 'Delete the folder in “C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Io Interactive\Epic” solution only worked once - and for about two hours; before the game disconnected and refused to re-connect.

I have made the solution work for a second time by switching off cloud saves in the Epic Game Store.

Yes, they have confirmed that before launch in their website:

Try switching off cloud saves in the Epic Game Store.
Then try the C:\Users[username]AppData\Roaming\IO Interactive\Epic[random string] deletion trick again.

Sistem is down again??? How many times It’s gonna happen, I delete yesterday wait to play again today, today works till now , this is ridiculous, I really don’t understand

I had the same issue as you on PS4, yesterday i was able to connect, and today i got the connection error again. Then ive deleted the files again but this time ist didnt worked. I started my console again after a few hours and then was able to play again for a few hours, but then my game crashed and now its again unable to connect. :confused:

I deleted and re-installed again (4 times total now) to try the appdata/roaming files fix that’s being passed around. Didn’t fix anything, still haven’t launched the game once.

I can connect with another profile, I don’t understand, I delete the files , but for sure I will not install again, this is something @Travis_IOI or anyone there who is looking for a solution because I think this is happening only to people with carryover process , I’m tired just in a few days can not play with my profile long time.
I love this game and what they want to do but they not say nothing about requiem pack and another lost items in carryover for many players and our problem just read here yesterday I was hoping it works but :man_facepalming:

Description: Since yesterday I am also receiving the “fail to obtain configuration file from hitman io server”. Deleted the epic app data file and turned off cloud syncing with no luck.

Steps to reproduce: Start up the game…

Frequency: Everytime

Notes: this is a joke IOI sort it out, pretty much unplayable knowing no progress is saving.

Yeah I’m also unable to connect to the servers since like 30hrs or so, slowly starts to irritate me.
Its almost like this always online bullshit doesn’t belong into a Singleplayer Game :clown_face:

This worked for me, thanks for the help.

EDIT: Well the failing to fetch configuration thing is back and now it’s with cloud saves off, that was short-lived. almost like it cuts off the branches each time a solution is found so there’s less and less workarounds… I’m not gonna reinstall the game a fourth time, I give up for the time being.

You are a life saver. Worked like a charm. (Obviously PC + progress carryover)

Edit: Lasted for around an hour, back to good ol’ offline mode again.
