Just a rather naff way of saying that that house reminds me a lot of the house from Ex Machina (2015).
Sooooo will this new storyline be a new sidestory like Patient Zero or will it be a prequel story where you play as Lucas Grey
There will never be a prequel where you can play as Lucas Grey. Any prequel material will be in the seven years between Blood Money and Absolution, or the seven years between Absolution and the WoA trilogy.
There, made it better.
don’t go smash my dreams in just one sentence like that haha.
I don’t see a prequel where you play as Grey because that wouldn’t make sense IMO but I still hope for some Grey comeback in some way (and I don’t mean just a coat)
Maybe 47 will become like Dexter and always have Grey talking to him as his Harry/Dark Passenger. The angel on his shoulder while Diana is the devil on his other shoulder. Or, perhaps more accurately, Grey will be the angel in his mind while Diana will be the devil in his ear. Let’s face it, while the two may ultimately have altruistic motives, Diana is definitely closer to being “evil” than Grey is, and 47 is appropriately in between. Actually, no, 47 is both further along the side of “good” than Grey (no casualties when on mission, ever, and no hate in his heart), while also further along the scale of “evil” than Diana (only cares about the contract and collecting his money).
Damn, now I want some buddy adventure with Grey and 47 even more
Damn, this was some good news to wake up to. Just keep releasing maps for H3 forever.
2022 is going to be such an exciting time for Hitman 3. With no Hitman games in the current future, we are going to be playing Hitman 3 for a LONG time. So we need to see something that will make the game replayable for such a long time. If there is one thing I want to see, Contracts Mode being updated. Make our own complications, objectives and challenges. We need more ways to play, even as contract creators. We’ve been limited with what we got for two games, it needs an update.
I must have watched that film before I knew who Oscar Isaac was, since I don’t remember his involvement in that film at all! Wow!
I’m thinking the same.
I don’t know why we need a standalone safehouse level, but having one I guess has been requested a lot, so there it is…
I wonder – and this is a long shot – if that Money system is used, we could build up and upgrade the safehouse as a form of progression. The outside looks overgrown and abandoned, there’s a lot of moss on the roof I think. Maybe we can save up money to clear that off, open up a shooting range, maybe even unlock a new suit.
…But I’m getting ahead of myself. I’m just expecting a simple, open safehouse. That’s all for now.
I had the same experience a few years earlier when re-watching Drive (2011) where he plays Carey Mulligan’s fuckup of a husband in a small role.
Psh, forget that: just allow us to end a contract and go back to the contracts menu, not the main menu. I don’t care what else they do with Contracts mode as long as they do that.
The house actually reminds me alot of the house from Big Oil day 2 from Payday 2, although just checking the houses themselves look nothing alike.
Again, reminds me of Payday 2, that game did the exact same thing. I like the safehouse in Payday 2, levelling up with cash was interesting, and it was very useful to be able to have a space to test out my loadout and weapons.
Saying that though, I can’t say I really want or desire a cash system in Hitman. It just seems a bit gimmicky at the end of the day, like it was in Blood Money if you ask me. I certainly wouldn’t hate it if they went through with it, I just don’t think it really adds anything.
It’s interesting how they called it. Year 2… Means that if even this year 2 sells well an year 3 will come up eventually?
Anyway it’s a rhetorical question, just sayin.
I’m thinking that, under the original intended formula, where it was going to be season 1, 2 and 3, maybe this would be season 4. Or, in this case, season 2, or year 2, of H3.
This right here (I found the lack of snow in the teaser disturbing
)

My thoughts exactly
Goddammit, Allan, for fuck’s sake, can you please add details for once!
Hold your horses there, Joe. Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves.
I think they’re just making a big deal out of it since we weren’t really expecting anything too major in its second year, plus other Hitman titles have had minimal support after 365 days. Most of the main, planned stuff comes out, then that’s it.
Since we really only know of one map, I’m feverishly crossing my fingers that there’ll be a snow-based map. You just can’t tell me that Hitman: Sniper gets a Canadian Ski Lodge mission (of sorts), but not this?
Only H2 had a year of post-launch content. H1 consistently had live content from March 2016 - October 2017 before it just became ET reactivations.
Right, but if I recall, Hitman 2016 mostly had some new ETs, Escalations, and Challenge Rewards as some free stuff.
This looks like a whole brand new expansion. (Possibly released out over the course of the 12 months, starting in Spring.)
2017 had Patient Zero come out at the end, but this looks like a more sizeable content addition.
