My friend travelled to a new city on holiday. She checks into a hotel and goes to put her passport and whatever else into the room safe. When she opens the safe she finds someone has left behind some paperwork, a few coins, and something else. She texts me a photo and asks “is that a real gun ?” I say “it looks very much like a real gun .”
And as it turns out, it was

Heard a song on a random clip from “American Dad” and looked for the music video. It has a diorama style like “Hitman Go”.

Hmm… Not really a “moment”, but couldn’t help think of 47 when this happened.
Where I work I had a customer… He used a credit card to pay for his room. The logo on his card, in the upper right, had ‘Rentokil’ (like 'Rent to Kill) or something with “_entokil”. It was then I realized he had his head clean shaven. Mind you, he was overweight and a bit under 6 feet tall. But was wearing a white button up shirt and tie, no suit jacket -though.
Now, apparently, (if it was) rentokil -that is a pest-control company… 
But noticing the company name on his card I could only think of “The money has been wired to your account.” And I had things I could say to the guy bouncing around in my head… But I didn’t want to confuse him or weird him out with something he probably has no clue about.

As far as I can tell, this was not an April Fool’s prank. Lots of news sites were reporting on this, there was follow up, and nobody in any official position has come out and said or even accused it of being fake.
