Hitman wishlist

PSVR2 specific at the moment!

  • Add more support to Other Hitman WOA content in VR!!
So far, it’s impressive that we’re able to access all H3 Escalations, Elusive Arcade, and all Seasonal Content even ones from Hitman 1 + 2!

But let us also explore Patient Zero content in VR! Or Hitman 1 or 2 Bonus Missions! Or the Sarajevo Six!
My personal favourite would be Freelancer, pleeease!:beating_heart:

  • I would LOVE if IOI would let us interact with the ambient environment more. Let us pick up random glasses, catering treats, etc. Let them respawn after a few seconds so as not to cause too much clutter or break NPC behaviour.
Just small props! I’m not asking to flip tables or anything!

(I think if you startle an NPC mid-drink, they can drop it and shatter, but it respawns when they repeat it)

Perhaps this was tested and found out it took a hit on performance or wasnt easily feasible. That’s understandable.
  • Bring back First-Person Blend and Climb actions! Make it a toggle option.
Now in VR2, all blend and climbing actions force the player into a third-person view overlooking 47.

Back in the first version of Hitman VR for PS4/PSVR, there was much more immersion in blending in while maintaining first-person, or being up-close to infiltrating somewhere. This new change feels odd.

“Step onto the Runway in Paris. Read the Newspaper in Sapienza…” (also shown earlier is cleaning the kitchen while disguised in Chongqing).

All “blend” actions and just… lounging around, being a tourist, is no longer possible…? (Correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I explored, it seems not.)

  • A minor QOL addition in VR would be to press R1/L1 while not holding anything so 47 can retract his middle/ring/pinky finger. So you can make a pointing gesture. :backhand_index_pointing_right:
Currently you can only press R2/L2 to make 47’s hand into a fist.

I like pointing and staring at things from afar, and it just isn’t the same if I can only hold a slightly-closed hand in the general direction of something.

these are good changes/ideas. i feel like the ability to change between views while blending would be a good idea

Some general changes the game would benefit from, imo.

1 - A fully functioning offline mode. The current one has certain functions, but it needs to be fleshed out to match the online experience, as in reality most of this game’s content doesn’t need internet to function.

Last time I used offline mode during maintenance I wasn’t able to play Sapienza, or any of the Hitman 2 missions. The fact that the offline experience is now degrading is unacceptable.

2 - Fps limiter would be very useful for those who prefer better game performance. Currently you can only limit fps by turning on vsync, but we need an option that works without it. Options should include 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and unlimited fps.

3 - Prestige objectives should be optional to choose in hardcore Freelancer. Them being required to complete a mission if chosen is fine, however, always having to do an extra objective during a mission affects the freedom of choice, and makes hardcore much less fun to play.

4 - Add at least 1 safe spawn to every map in Freelancer. It’s a strange design choice to be able to get this objective without any remaining maps to complete it on. Simply add 1 safe spawn for each map, so we can always do this objective.

5 – More options to customize controls. Things like opening doors, dumping bodies and climbing pipes are something I want to be able to do with just the E key. However, all these actions are on 3 separate keys, and the game doesn’t allow for them to share the same keybind. I use Autohotkey to get around this, but I should be able to change controls the official way.

To fix this simply remove keybind restrictions on interact/use item/agility actions. Also, certain assassination opportunities like the tattoo artist kill on Rico Delgado, would need to have one of their keys changed, as with the default E, G, and Space, the first 2 would conflict. Changing G to Q, the default melee key, would fix this conflict, and would also match the controller controls for the same interactions.

6 - In Gameplay/General tab in the options, running and slow walking are presented together as options, forcing you to choose both as either hold/press/toggle. Separating them would allow for more choice, for instance having run as hold and slow walk as toggle, which isn’t something you can do right now.

7 – When recorded by a camera, you will get an alternating yellow camera/yellow guns icon in the hud indicating that you can retain your silent assassin status if you destroy the cctv footage. However, there is no such indicator for killing a target before they alert someone. Instead of alternating yellow icons, the yellow guns should appear when killing your target would retain your silent assassin rating, and the yellow camera icon should appear when destroying the cctv footage would retain your silent assassin rating. If both are needed to retain your silent assassin rating, both the yellow guns/yellow camera icons would appear next to each other.

8 – Elusive Target Arcade needs to be changed, so it can be what most fans wanted it to be, a permanent way to replay elusive targets without any changes to them, and earn the suits you would get for their completion.

Make all elusive targets individual missions, instead of grouping them up together.

When elusive targets stop being reactivated, make their rewards unlockable in Arcade with their original requirements.

Certain missions with mandatory complications like more enforcers/restricted loadouts need them removed and replaced with optional complications.

Now that elusive targets would no longer be grouped up, and would be individual missions, the arcade rewards (Banana, Ducky suit, etc…) would be given whenever you complete one of the 2 sets of 3 targets that would previously unlock these rewards. Completing a target unlocks progress for all rewards related to them.

this should have been coming with the switch port but that’s still locked to the current offline only mode

Ghost Mode and variations:
The Classic
Player vs Player (all players face each other, and the objective would be to eliminate other players. It would be a good theory test for disguises, I’m sure some players would bump into each other and not recognize themselves)
Team Player vs Player (Team A players take out Team B players)
Co-op (players unite in a standard mission (Main story, bonus and contracts)
Actual Offline Mode
Option to favourite items (weapons and suits). With the amount of reskins we have now, it is essential to have this.
Implement all mods in PlayStation

I’m still wishing for a true semi-auto assault rifle/SMG/PDW mode or mod for the WOA. Hopefully the next Hitman game will have it to where you can toggle fire modes on select fire weapons instead of having them all be just bullet hoses.

A feature from Peacock that would be nice to have in the official game is a page where you can see all the escalations listed together! It’s nice and convenient in Peacock where you can easily swap tabs between each game’s escalations and quickly scroll through all of them without needing to go to each location’s tab.

Of course, I’ll also take this time to once again advocate for the 38 cut escalations from Hitman 2016 to be officially brought back into Hitman WoA (preferably reduced to just 3 levels) along with the cut challenges from the Hitman 2016 and 2 locations.

For freelancer, a very simple thing would make life so much easier: for the objectives to stay on screen permanently; or perhaps an option to chose the frequency it shows, or turn it off for those who wants to, and maybe make it half faded for those who dont. Or better yet, a slider to chose how visible it would be.

How many times have i failed my objectives because i forgot or messed them up, had i only have them showing at all times…

When are they not showing?

They come on the screen every now and then, then fades out, you never noticed??

Check your settings. There’s an option in the hud section to either always show objectives, never show objectives, or have them auto where they show up when completed then fade away again. It sounds like you have it set on auto

Ill check again my man but if you’re right, you made my day.

Yeah, it’s kinda weird to me that escalations are not considered one of the game modes, despite fitting the criteria for it. I don’t really like them, and have played very few of them, but it definitely should be listed under the game modes tab as well.

IT WORKED!!!

To think ive played all this time without it…

I looked through options several times and i guess i thought that applied only to the base game somehow since there are options just for freelancer but it’s no different.

Bless you.

Hey all,

I’ve recently gotten back to playing the PSVR 2 mode, after not having the time for a while, and I thought I’d leave some of my improvement ideas here.

Being able to bring 2 of the same gun:

One of the things I was most excited about for this new VR mode was the return of dual weilding. Finally, 47 can bring out both silverballers again! Problem is you’re only allowed to bring in one. They definitely need to allow you to bring in 2 of the same type of gun during the mission select. Or, even better, just automatically give you 2 guns when in VR, so you don’t waste another item slot.

One handed reloading pistols:

Another suggestion related to dual weilding. When you’re in a firefight and dual weilding, it’s annoying to have to holster or drop one of your guns to reload the other. Perhaps when you eject a mag you can run the gun down where the ammo is on your waist (as though your forcing the magazine in) and then mimic a movement of racking the slide against your pants? I’d like to hear if you guys had any suggestions for how this could work.

Improved blind unholstering of pistols:

About half the time when I go to blind unholster a pistol, it doesn’t work. I’ll have it make the noise telling me my hand is over it and still have nothing happen when I hit the button. I assume this is done somewhat intentionally to stop players from accidentally unholstering, but it’s too much. Perhaps they could implement a sensitivity slider, so those who have a problem accidentally unholstering can make it harder to do but others without that problem can make it easier to do. I also have a similar problem with blind holstering, in that it often just doesn’t seem to work. I think that needs improvement as well.

First person climbing and blending:

This has already been suggested, but I thought I would mention it as well. As others said, it should just be a toggle option. In the older VR versions these actions were first person, why not in the newest a best?

Make more modes playable:

This one is the most obvious and really just speaks for itself. Freelancer and community contracts would both be great additions since they keep the game fresh. I’ve got hundreds of hours in Hitman and there’s only so many times you can kill the same targets before it gets boring, and that applies even in a cool new VR mode. (Also, I know IO just kinda pretend the sniper assassin missions don’t exist but I think they would be a great addition to the VR mode.)

Alright, I think that’s about all I’ve got. I’d love to hear everybody else’s suggestions. And if you haven’t tried the PSVR 2 mode, I would definitely recommend it. I might even recommend getting the headset just for this game, though there are actually lots of other great game for it, assuming you can afford it and get it for a good price.

Bean bags!!!

There actually was a non-leathal shotgun that was cut, it knocks (sedate) NPCs.

Pretty please?

-Binocular mode for 47’s camera.
-Give us the Anaesthetic from H2SA as an unlockable version of the chloroform flask.
-make the TAC4 S/A type rifles accurate and with steady aim.
-Tactical Turtleneck with Gloves (maybe 100% all tutorials to unlock).
-Hitman Codename 47 Jungle Gear.
-Hitman 2: Silent Assassin Suit.
-Hitman Contracts Suit.
-Give each Elusive Target Arcade its own unlockable.
-Twitch drop fiber wire, and sniper rifle. Then, you’d have an entire default loadout available as well as a sniper rifle and case all in this twitch theme.
-Give the black, green, and blue streak suits their own default loadout variants to utilize. Also for Mario and Luigi on switch give them a light gun Zapper baller, super scope sniper, super Mario coin, piano wire, and brick container.
-Allow the concealed shotguns to be selectable in concealed weapon category like the pistols and dakx12.
-Add a concealable knife and baton to the concealed weapon melee category.

The whole casino poker element in The Banker makes me wish for a whole Poker Night at the Inventory style game mode as a fun bonus:

  • The ability to play with allies like Grey, Diana, and Olivia
  • The ability to play with various targets from the trilogy
  • Getting into witty banter with the various other players, such as lines making fun of how the targets can die or events from the story missions
  • Different tables themed for each of the maps

Since Agent Stone and Agent Knight are coming to the game in the new co-op mode, would it be possible to add them as alternate selectable characters (with bios) in the Single Player Sniper Assassin mode?

That way, you can essentially “pay homage to”/acknowledge the original Sniper Co-Op mode from Hitman 2. That, and you already have the assets for the characters so I don’t think it would be too much work.
