One question: why do you hate us?

Those Merces ideas are âchallengesâ in the same way Pinhead from Hellraiser brings âpleasures.â
I think for me the issue with these kinds of challenge idea is that they are more grinding than actually challenging. If you can prestige once, you can prestige a hundred times - the only difference is time. Same thing for getting a vast amount of merces. Thatâs nothing against any particular personâs idea - just the nature of grinding as a challenge. For me itâs not so much a challenge as it is just tedious to keep doing the same thing over and over and over some arbitrary number of times for a reward. I wasnât a fan when IOI did it either.
i agree with you there ⌠itâs more of a grind than a challenge ⌠but for those kinds of rewards, it should be tedious as hell and take a lot of dedication to playing a shit ton ⌠i certainly donât need a throwable shoe
I would go for some âbigâ challenges like:
- kill every campaign target with the CX Demo block
- complete every campaign map without any starting loadouts
- play through the entire campaign from the default starting location without ever changing outfits (except for game-forced changes)
- complete all campaign maps without performing any illegal actions
that sort of thing. Not that any of those are exceptionally difficult for well-seasoned players, but they would reward going back and replaying the entire campaign (or even specific levels) using kill methods that some players may not necessarily gravitate to or forcing different playstyles.
A few thoughts.
First on having a long play incentive to Freelancer. And adding to it.
They already exist. Itâs the Prestige Level V, Top Dogs, Employee of the Year and GOAT.
From the surge of posts about them a few months back, it takes approximately two years for a reasonably dedicated player to do. Which is fair and fine to have.
You can still create your own objectives. Some go up the Prestige Ladder. I went to 10 millions merces (it took me half a year)âŚ
Second. Even if we look at your proposal, you numbers are nonsensical. 1.000.000.000 Merces?
- For reference, optimized with all safes, couriers, all payouts perfect runs, that is 3000-4000 campaigns.
- In a row. any failed campaign would send you back, up to thousands campaigns back.
- For further reference: maxing out the Player Profile Level to 12501 takes less than 500 campaigns.
I will be blunt, and in a way I am sincerely sorry. But I cannot take your proposal seriously with this.
I actually wouldnât mind something like a 1.000.000 Merecs one (I proposed it to unlock the coin back when).
Compounding the two.
Iâm of the opinion that if new âlong playâ challenges are added to Freelancer, they should be feasible in parallel to the old ones by new players. That is feasible under 100 full campaigns.
To us, it would be an addition. to them itâs fair and inclusive.
Also I know Iâm amusingly a broken record on the forum for it.
But if we have new reasons to play Freelancer besides its current self, I would much prefer gameplay variety and not âdo the same but more for arbitrary goalsâ.
Again: Lessons Learned. main mission targets campaign, best of both worlds, please.

Other electrocution items also kill NPCs when theyâre activated while in the NPCâs inventory. The proximity taser will kill the guard picking it up, for example, and you can activate the remote taser while the guard is carrying it for a kill. Putting the micro remote taser in Cassidyâs mailbox is good for an easy target kill, since that gets it into his inventory.
The phone is unique not in that it differs in behavior in this respect, but in that any NPC will pick it up and keep it in their inventory.
Or just reskin a regular pistol to look like a revolver and donât have it behave like one. They already have the NPC heads not turning if you snap the neck of an unconscious one, so why not?
Yea Mano or they could just have a revolver and not bother to animate the hammer and cylinder moving. I really wanted one long ago. Suggested the could use the standard reloading animation and players would just assume 47 is lighting fast with a speed loader.
Oh well, it wasnât to be. Assuming it was a big powerful revolver youâd basically just have an El Matador style gun with one less round⌠still, I thought fans would have enjoyed being able to have Lucas Greys revolver from the S Africa cut scene.
So Iâve mentioned this before years ago but I need to throw it back out. But The Brothers ET has to be an add on to the game. The targets have a backstory (theyâre related to Silvio) the mission itâs self from what Iâve seen on YouTube isnât bad and is definitely better then some other ET!!!
I know having The Wildcard is a stretch because I assume itâs a little harder to bring him back but The Brothers should definitely be in the game.
Also for the arcades I wish we had a Deceiver mission thatâs not locked behind restricted load out itâs the only mission you canât play freely. And was one of my favourites

I really wish theyâd bring The Butcher Suit and associated unlocks during this Halloween. Maybe remake Berlin in style of Meat Kingâs Party and associate them with escalation, based of the Contractâs mission.
i really love controlling the drones in Watchdogs so for the next Hitman game I would like to have one which can be used by 47. Obviously it should not be too powerful, but I think it would be fun.
In regards to items/weapons, I wish there would be a âbalancingâ update for less used items, along with a âcleanup/organizationâ for the way items are grouped in the Inventory, and other âMiscellaneous changesâ update.
Here is what I mean:
Cleanup/Organization:
â˘New âLethal Meleeâ Category under Weapons in the Inventory. Examples: Swords, Knives, Axes, etc.
â˘New âNon-Lethal Melee" Category under Weapons in the Inventory. Examples: Baseball Bats, Claw Hammer, Baton, etc.
â˘New âLethal - Garotte Meleeâ Category under Weapons in the Inventory. Examples: Fiber Wires, Fishing Line, Headphones, etc.
â˘New âDart Guns" Category under Weapons in the Inventory. Examples: Kalmer 1 - Tranquilizer, Sieker 1, The Serpentâs Toungue, etc.
â˘New âFoodâ Items under Gear in the Inventory. Examples: Bananas/Grapes, Durian, Blueberry Muffin, Pretzel, etc.
Balancing:
â˘Increased duration of the blinding effect on Flash Explosives listed under âGear > Explosives" in the Inventory list. Example: Flash Grenade, etc.
â˘Increased duration of the blinding effect of The Serpentâs Tongue listed under âWeapons > Dart Guns" in the Inventory list
â˘Increased duration of the stun effect on Concussion Explosives listed under âGear" in the Inventory list. Example: Concussion Grenade
â˘Increased effective range of the audio related items that are NOT the coins. Examples: âMixtape 47â, ICA Remote Audio Distraction, Napoleon Blownapart, ICA Explosive Phone
⢠The Red-Tie Kiwi is given back its old status effect of distracting multiple NPCs at once, but as a result (to balance), the effective range is the lowest effective range.
â˘Syringes that arenât Lethal can carry more in the Loadout. Example: one item slot of the Sedative Syringe carries 3 syringes and one item slot of the Emetic Syringe carries 2 syringes.
Miscellaneous Changes:
â˘Add a Favorite Items setting. You can pick up to 20 favorite items and 10 favorite suits to have saved for faster selection.
â˘Add a Custom Loadout Setting with the ability to save up to 10 different custom Loadouts, with the ability to name the Loadout.
â˘The Durian gas cloud is changed from Blue to green to show that it is an Emetic item, and to make it more in consistent with other Emetic items.
â˘Added a third Equipment Slot to the Inventory for âGarotteâ Items in Loadout because the Fiber Wire is an iconic weapon to the franchise that never gets used as much as it should because there are a lot better items in the gameâs meta, and very few people will pick it . If you want to balance it, make it an unlockable slot AFTER completing the Piano Man Challenge in 17 different locations. That way, itâs a unique reward for completionists.
â˘Reduced XP requirements for Mastery Levels for the Sniper Assassin Game Mode.
â˘Added Rewards for Himmelstein Mastery Level 20 and Hantu Port Mastery 20.

Another thing I would like to be added to all platforms is not only BOTH the exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 DLC packs available for all platforms (and by extension all platform exclusive suits available for everyone), but also the regular Mario and Luigi plumber disguises from Sapienza. That way, you can wear those suits in other locations as a starting suit if you want.
ICA Tactical Uniform with the ICA Logo/balaclava and maybe The Blackwater Tactical suit From Hitman Absolution
There are items in this game that we should be able to use both lethally and non-lethally. Claw hammers and crowbars, for example, have sharp points on one end that could absolutely be lethal. When equipped, the player should have a toggle for things like that to set lethal or non-lethal use.
