It’s been a week. It’s not nearly been long enough to close the discussion on an issue that is currently ongoing. And certainly not enough time to be considered beating a dead horse either.
I dunno about you, but just giving up after a week and going “life is hard” sounds like a defeatist mindset, no matter how you spin it.
Ah yes, like they learned from the part one edition?
No, their behaviour got more money-grubbing and greedy, and this new edition is proof of that they don’t change unless we pressure them to.
Quitting now just sends a message that we’ll give up after a week and will just act complacent, all the while still buying their other DLC’s and playing their game as if nothing is wrong.
Again, it’s not quitting. We’ve just said what needs to be said. This comes up again and we do nothing, then that’s quitting. Continuing to go on after having covered everything may seem like fighting the powers that be, but if all you’re doing is spinning your wheels on a single subject, it’s less the good fight and more tilting at windmills.
And the alternative is to just let them continue to make fools of us.
And It’s not just this single subject either; my video also mentions the other bad practices IO have been up to that, I hope, we all disapprove of (hiring controversial celebrities, Paid FOMO twitch item etc.)
I’m not spinning my wheels or shouting at the gods in futility; I’m doing this to constantly remind them of the issue and to keep up the pressure until they either cave and revert it, or give an answer that isn’t so fucking boilerplate and insulting to our collective intelligence as a userbase.
Ok, but you know they’re not listening on this subject anymore. They’ve heard our voices, and are now moving on. Continuing on with it when it’s falling on deaf ears accomplishes little. Next time they do something, that’s when their ears are open again to the reaction of that new thing, and bringing it up again at that point when they’re actively listening for feedback is what will keep this incident in their minds.
Hmmm, I don’t understand this packages. Both upgrades include “the complete first season”, which I’m pretty sure includes all the H1 maps, doesn’t this mean that if you buy this you’re paying for what you already own?
Although I agree that there is no point in complaining anymore. They’ve made very clear that this is going to be the course of action from now on and they’re not backing out, in fact, they seem to be doubling down on this crap. We’ve already shown our discomfort, if we keep at it we’re just going to look like whiny bitches. Let’s just wait for the weight of their own decisions to crush them eventually.
Well, no, we can and should still complain, it just needs to be every time they are freshly listening. For this particular cycle, we’ve done all we’re able to do, until the next round.
You get to chillax in a virtual italian city and on a virtual beach if you have a VR headset, which means you should have enough money to buy the whole game, which means you either blew your budget with the headset or… uhh… I don’t know, made a bunch of Twitch subscriptions or something.
A discount sale on “PartOne” and “Upgrade Packs” is now available on the Steam Store.
However, the “Episode Upgrade Pack” remains at the regular price.
Players who purchased “Episode: Sapienza” during the past 1 week without knowing anything about it clearly lost out.
I believe that the “Episode Upgrade Pack“ should also be on discount sale at the same time. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1659040/HITMAN_World_of_Assassination/
I wonder if someone with the Episode: Sapienza bundle can just buy the other Upgrade (the one that is currently discounted) since its cheaper. Previously, the only requirement to purchase that Upgrade was that you owned WoA in some shape or form.
For some reason the Part One Upgrade includes the H1 Access Passes, even though Part One owners would already have them, so in theory it would function exactly the same.
The pricing is the most predatory thing ever. Part 1 used to have 90% off sales (because of the high base price that is clearly only there to make the sales look better) and is now only 70% off - making sapienza, even on sale, more expensive than the previous cheapest entry point . Also the price difference while on sale is obviously to make you think that part 1 is a good deal compared to how insanely overpriced episode Sapienza is. Paris should just always be free with the starter pack instead of all this nonsense. Episode Sapienza is a scam. There is no possible argument otherwise. This is the worst, most shady move IO has ever done in a long history of incompetency.
One more thing - Hitman 2016 was free on the epic games store in 2020. 5 years ago it was free to keep (although it wasn’t goty). Paris was given away for free in 2017 - 8 years ago. Paris should really be in the free starter pack permanently and episode sapienza should be removed.
You can only save on main missions and not on escalations, freelancer, contracts, seasonal content and elusive targets. They really should add more saving compatibility though. (esp the Hokkaido snow fest and Holiday Hoarders)
I think an actual issue is that you thought that this thread about the Sapienza Pack is an appropriate place to start a completely different conversation topic. Especially when it seems you’ve already had the exact conversation somewhere else on the forum already.
Not really a great way on either front to get people to agree with you.
At this point either IOI is stupid or has bad intentions. I’m sorry, there’s no other option. They have placed several supposed content on the catalogue of “games” when all they do is confuse. I myself had to reinstall some stuff a while back and didn’t know which one to download. I never experienced buying a digital Hitman because 2016 came with PS Plus and 2018 and 3 (WoA) are physical. However getting the expansions was equally weird, as H2016 and H2 simply phased into H3 out of nowhere, and the legacy things + special assignments had to be manually put, I guess. Actually it’s been a while so it was very different. Regardless of my past, the present is substantially worse. They are simply artificially putting content, especially on Steam, which is misleading for everyone, new players the most, ‘cause they know nothing. That is possibly troublesome for IOI, given that this Sapienza thing is just a level, I don’t know if they can get reported for misleading content. Unfortunately there isn’t much we can do.
