If I may bring it up, the patch notes also said that the animations for two boats in Freelancer that have been swapped for a year were corrected. However, this has not been corrected; the animations are still swapped. Can we get some clarity on why the notes say otherwise? Did something go wrong, or did I just misunderstand the notes.

Twitch drops are bullshit and insulting to completionists that want nothing to do with external unlock shit. Either let us buy it or give it to people some other way. Piss on Twitch. They better not pull that with the Bond game whenever it finally releases. Bad enough they’ve ignored the complaints about their always online garbage all these years.

While we’re passing on things to the right teams for possible changes, can we finally get Ambrose Island/Shadows in the Water added into the H2 campaign in its chronological order spot?
It made sense not putting it there prior to the WoA-rebrand as you needed to own H3 to play, so players with the H2 Access Pass in the Free Starter Pack would’ve had a random mission in the middle of their campaign they couldn’t play. But now everyone with WoA can play H2’s main campaign - so there’s no reason to not slot it in between Whittleton Creek and Isle of Sgail.
This could even be done sooner than the next patch as a “live fix” since it could just be done via what the servers send out.

Me and @Dribbleondo were discussing this in DMs but I think itd be awesome if @Combatglue were to pass on some proposed fixes, changes and QoL features that I think we as fans would love but so far are only available to modders via PC. for example:
UI improvements
Clothing improvements and new clothing
And just general all-round fixes to lighting, continuity and the offline mode

I also have two additional pet peeves which I´ve been wanting to raise for a while and which don´t have mod fixes afaik (restoring the explosives´ “fireball” effect which got removed in H3 and restoring the “HD look” draw distance on the skyscrapers from H1 and H2 maps, as that only got fixed in Miami). But if all these were to be passed on, then we should probably concentrate them in a dedicated thread (or the wishlist)?

Last year, Travis confirmed that there were plans to bring the “platform suits” to every other platform (The Green/Blue/Black Streak Suits that are exclusive to Xbox/PlayStation/PC respectively). Is there still plans for this to happen?

sorry you feel this way.
Twitch drops is a powerful marketing tool and its needed to grow the awareness around the game. But I am aware of the completionists and that is why I made sure that the items came back so they would be easier to catch and not as exclusive.
Hope we can find a middle ground around this.

About the suits I have moved that forward, I dont know if there is legal issues in this one, just speaking from old experiance when doing console exclusive its a bit messy.

I might as well ask but @Combatglue is there any chance of adding an option to choose which briefcase we want to bring with us in Freelancer?
There’s a literal briefcase stand in wardrobe that’s just a piece of furniture and could be used for this function.

The devs deliberately changed it, likely to make it better resemble the H3 face…which I’ll admit is a bit odd looking.
Also, can we stop it with the “devs can’t get it right but modders can” attitude. The way you’re derisively describing IO as if they didn’t know what they were doing is completely unnecessary and is actively detrimental to the cause of IO listening to us.
Yes, they changed it, Yes, you don’t like it, and I myself find it a pointless change. You don’t need to insult them and their professional AAA status in the process.

The quotation mark wasn’t to make it look like irony, that’s just how i think “AAA” should look like.
Then what’s the point in adding a classic model, if its not accurate? Its the same in RE2 Remake, where Capcom replaced Claires Tshirt with a tank top, i just dont understand the reason why it needed a change.
Who is this for? New fans don’t care about Codename 47 and old fans like myself aren’t happy with it because it doesn’t look right.

Perhaps the list of mods “passed on” should be limited to mods that fix actual bugs, not “I like Hitman 2016’s UI so much better” or “I don’t like the lighting choices”.

Agreed. The user should have the choice to change what they want. Which would mean integrated modding support.
