I answered yes but I don’t think they should do anything about it. I don’t have to bring the molotov if I don’t want/need to but it’s really fun to get a fire hill through a wall, or even through it toward one target while another is walking past. Definitely balanced in the sense that it’s easy to explode not burn but to get a kill through a wall or floor is something else.

Meh. It was fun while it lasted, but a nerf was inevitable. It was pretty obvious something was going to happen with it.
Not until people started talking about it, it wasn’t.
This is a much more drastic nerf than I expected. I would’ve expected wallbanging and the dart gun to be patched, but not the accident part of it removed! It would obviously be a very good and powerful tool if the accident kill existed, but it would require a bit more skill to get right.
I didn’t expect IO will cut the accidental feature. It seems they can just fix the dart bug and wallbanging, but they still make it a totally trash.
Such a shame that IO would just cater to some people that can’t stand the fact that there are playstiles different than theirs. The Molotov went from the first actually new item on a very long time to just “explosive number: whatever” on an already needlesly long list of reskins. Well, at least the game is now “balanced” and fun again, right?
Won’t surprise me if IO makes the non-accident feature retroactive with anyone who got Silent Assassin with the Molotov on The Ex-Dictator suddenly find their score reduced by one star rating with the XP confiscated and challenge relocked.
its actually amazing the bugs all got patched and then ioi catered to the loud minority that didnt like it. people who play hitman profesionally shouldnt dictate the trajectory of the game
I was also not expecting such a drastic change either - I was thinking the worst case is they would shrink the radius where it could be an accident to add more risk to its use - but with my post I was more talking about people that are just shocked that changed it at all. I always thought there was no chance of it remaining completely unscathed.
BernadoOne on reddit mentioned this breaks a featured contract but didnt the kill conditions for the featured contract also get changed at the same time? idk tho because i dont know the specific feature
