Oh, sorry, I meant that it’s as much as the prize sum.
Murrillo is so janky in this. If you do anything that would normally cause a NPC to panic, he just t-poses instead.
It’s a shame you can only play poker at the downstairs tables only once per table, but you can play an infinite number of roulette games. I did discover that one of those poker tables is buggy and won’t show you your cards only the odds of winning.
Ah well, safe easy poison for the ET. I’ll faff about in the arcade version later. But this was very nice and I really like all the changes to Paris. The area where Agent Smith is, is utterly gorgeous. I’m an absolute sucker for floor to ceiling bookshelves.
Has anyone explored if after being poisoned and returning to the game upstairs, what happens if 47 folds in the second poker game? Is it possible for Le Chiffre win, then go to Murillo and pay the debt?
He wins the game and then departs for the helicopter to leave
In this 2nd version my detailed playthrough: Agent 47 does not kill anyone, Win an invite to Play a few Poker Games & meet Le Chiffre in person, Get the Antidote before the timer runs out when poisoned by Le Chiffre, General Murillo kills Le Chiffre & No Disguise change @ all. This can all be done in Suit Only/Silent Assassin/No Loadout/No KO/No HUD/5 Star Rating.
1=Starting Default Location
2= Obtain an invite to the Poker Game with 3 possible outcomes/individuals.
3= Mingle with the guests and come across one of the Poker Players Bai Siyu in a short conversation with an individual near the Bar area, she has a past with Le Chiffre as mentioned by Diana. You can obtain an invite from her, but 47 does not choose this path.
4= Agent 47 comes across Agent Smith in the Library to discuss business with the conversation talking about how 47 needs to get an invite to the Poker Game & Agent Smith offers the option to kill on an individual named Oliver Winding for the invite to the Poker Game as he feels he may have been compromised. In this version Agent 47 does not kill Oliver Winding & does not get the invite from Agent Smith.
5= Approach another Poker Player who is named Abhijeet Rangan located in the Casino area & offer to challenge him to a game of Roulette: a $10 million play in exchange for an invite. Bet on number Red 5 to win the game & obtain the invite.
6= Show the invite to Security & meet personally with Le Chiffre.
7= Play the first Poker Game & lose to Le Chiffre.
8= As soon as you have lost the game, Agent 47 is poisoned by Le Chiffre, this occurs when they first met each other before the Poker Game when Agent 47 has a drink with Le Chiffre.
9= Get The Antidote before the timer runs out, which is 1 minute 10 seconds. You have to sprint to this location! If you don’t, another outcome plays out where you meet Le Chiffre in the basement tied up & Agent Smith will help you, but you will need to change your disguise! So getting the Antidote avoids this.
10= After taking the Antidote, head back up stairs & talk to the Card Dealer. Diana mentions this Agent 47! Threaten the Card Dealer after explaining who you are, set up Le Chiffre to lose this time & return to the Poker Game to Le Chiffre’s surprise.
11= Win the Poker Game this time & let the events of Le Chiffre’s Elimination play out as he is killed by General Murillo’s own hand.
Agent 47 out
Hello everybody
What a surprise and what a good and wise choice to take Mads Mikkelsen as a CelebrET (is Danish, fits the universe, etc.)
I didn’t expect a Casino Royale remake but after the First Light announcement sure why not
I know Mads would definitely make a great villain no matter the role anyway
The mission looks great: ideal and reworked location (Paris), ideal setup (finally a Casino in WoA!) and a great and interesting scenario with lots of outcomes and surprises (lots of easter eggs to the movie)
I hope that this will allow HITMAN to expand ever more, why not through a crossover with 007 franchise! There’s definitely lots of interesting and doable stuff as the WoA was primarily designed as a concept for a Bond videogame
Let’s also hope it doesn’t get brutally delisted because of “unappropriate behavior” or whatever other reasons
Looking forward to make a nice and original playthrough (no date of release yet tho)
Cheers!
Always bet on black - 47 in Traditions of the Trade
We’ve come full circle!
One of the possibilities I expected anyway. I managed it myself this morning with the same result: 47 drinks from an invisible glass.
It does seem to cause the mission story to be missed though, so they do seem to have detected it in some fashion. Just not handled it specially if you continue the story anyway.
P.S. While a “loud” explosive made him evacuate, a breaching charge detonated while he’s doing the eye drops didn’t alert him.
Just here to remind people that rape and sex trafficking are not “inappropriate behaviors” or “whatever”.
I fully expect a flag, but jesus christ what is wrong with some of you?
Anyway the Banker Pack is sort of boring, wish there had been a more unique item in the bunch, but at least it lets you play the arcade content indefinitely. Pay-to-play, as they say.
Was playing for a bit on Peacock today. Just to test things. Had to look for about 20 Minutes for the second target (got it from Mr Smith). And suddenly got a message that Le Chiffre is escaping. Don’t know what triggered that.
Edit: Does anyone know if there’s lethal poison somewhere in the map?
Edit 2: Another curious thing: Le Chiffre actually has an invitation to the poker game. Why would he need one if he organised this himself? And if you pick it up Diana says something along the lines of “congratulations, you’ve got an invitation. Time to meet Le Chiffre…”
Ok, I think I have a possible timeline down for where this ET fits into the game if it is considered canon. Of course, this mission’s canonicity cannot be addressed without considering the canonicity of The Revolutionary, and so some adjustments have had to be made for that, too. Everything that follows is proceeding under the assumption that both ETs are canon to the Hitman timeline.
Based on the fact that this takes place at a refurbished Paris museum, and that Agent Smith mentions that he was rescued from Hokkaido, and that The Revolutionary was an ICA contract, this mission and Murillo’s mission must therefore both take place after Situs Inversus, but before Shadows In The Water. There may not seem like much room to do so, but there are undiscussed stretches of time between the earlier missions of H2, up to the completion of Another Life, after which the timeline of events starts to become more clear. There are a couple of different possibilities available, and which one is best will come down to personal choice, and mostly dependent upon whether Diana was informing 47 about Rangan’s brother at the casino in the context of him being related to a target they already eliminated, or just in the context of being related to a famous Bollywood director who is also a suspected mobster and pirate.
I think taking place between Hokkaido and Hawke’s Bay is too soon, mainly because 47 tells Diana after that a week ago Providence was the enemy. It’s possible The Banker mission could have happened in that time, but I don’t think a week is enough time for Smith to already be in place for another assignment of that sort that he’s already so well-embedded in.
I personally place the Singapore sniper mission between Hawke’s Bay and Miami, assuming it to be an emergency contract due to its nature, and that there is still some time before the upcoming race in Miami is supposed to begin when it is mentioned in Hawke’s Bay, so I wouldn’t place it between these two either, although it’s possible. It’s also more likely for Smith to be captured and locked in a shipping container in Singapore while trying to get back to Interpol after leaving Hokkaido, so his showing up then makes sense with the timeline.
After Miami, there’s an unspecified period of time where Providence works on identifying the Shadow Client, and ICA works on trying to figure out where he’s going, and it’s at this point that the connection to the Delgado Cartel is discovered. In this nebulous time, I think this is the most likely period to place the hit on LeChiffre. It gives Smith time to get in place, it gives 47 something to do while he waits for the next mission to deal with the Shadow Client, and it gives the museum all the time it needs to be remade up to host the casino event, including adding a working concrete fountain where a stage used to be. If we assume Rangan’s brother is only being mentioned because of Rangan’s being (in)famous and not an eliminated target, then this fits nice. Assuming having the general kill LeChiffre is the canon method, their conversation which reveals that the general is now broke because of LeChiffre and must now rely on his continental friends and return to the jungle, implies that this is when he heads back to Colombia for his own ET to take effect.
Since this period of time is undetermined, and there is no mention one way or the other of Murillo actually meeting or speaking with any of the cartel leaders, The Revolutionary could take place either before or after A Three-Headed Serpent. I personally would favor after, given these new events, but it could work either way. Let’s say Murillo is taken out after Colombia but before Mumbai, or possibly after Mumbai but before 47 meets up with Grey in Romania.
If we’re going off of the idea that Rangan’s brother is mentioned because 47 already killed Dawood, then this mission has to take place after Mumbai, but probably before the meeting in Romania, as that’s another unspecified period of time where everyone is looking for the Shadow Client. This would mean that The Revolutionary would have to take place after the meeting in Romania, but before the mission in Whittleton Creek, or during the period after Whittleton Creek but before Ambrose Island. The general mentioning his continental friends would likely mean the remnants of the cartel, some of whom he may still be in alliance with, rather than the Delgados themselves, who are dead now. This, combined with his loss of money from LeChiffre, would explain why he’s reduced to broadcasting locally from a shack in his ET mission. Either way, it makes The Revolutionary one of the last contracts 47 ever does for ICA.
And there we have it: all the possible places this mission with LeChiffre and the mission with Murillo could fit into the timeline if both are considered canon. I take a small bow…
I enjoyed the development of the story in this issue of Elusive Target “The Bunker” as various developments occurred.
The appearance of guest characters such as Murillo and Rangan made me realize that HITMAN’s worldview is expanding,
The additional Target and the poisoned confinement were surprisingly odd for an ET.
My favorite scene was the reversal of the standard development of Smith helping out.
Personally, I would have liked a serving counter with Pinot Noir.
I’m sad that everyone tells me not to add items that have no value,
anybody has the issue that all the main character are looking the same. plus Even if I do the mission for an agent id does not give my INVITE, the teller does not give me any money (well it gives me 10M, but I can not take it)
nice. I believe Murillo’s death happens before the death of the “three headed serpents”, i remember there was a line he said about returning to his “old-contacts” in Colombia (Rico). And I think it’s safe to say it takes place probably between Situs Inversus and Three Headed Serpent.
Well, that’s what I mentioned before, that it may be members of the Cartel itself, not necessarily the leaders like Rico and Andrea. All the Cartel members are still there in Santa Fortuna, now recently out of a job. Here comes this old general that some of them knew from the Delgados working with him before, and now he’s offering to let them work for him while he tries to reestablish himself. So it could, and most likely does, take place after the Colombia mission.
I’m fairly certain that Rangan’s brother mentions to someone during the mission that he has not spoken to his brother in a while and that he is too busy filming a Bollywood movie, or something.
Ok, so that moves it forward a little bit, making this definitely take place before Mumbai, unless he just hasn’t heard that Dawood is recently deceased.
