One very mildly annoying detail due to my occupation working in a tire shop,
I’ll try to explain it without pictures the best I can, you have a few different types of tires, I will list the 3 most common types.
1 symmetrical tires :the most common type , they don’t really matter which side is facing out when installed on a rim and placed on a vehicle
2: asymmetrical tires: long story short, the tires are marked “inside”and “outside” this type it does matter how they’re mounted the rim ,you should be able to see the “outside” marking when installed properly on the rim and placed on the vehicle
3: directional tires: these tires are meant to be installed a certain way depending on which side of the vehicle they’re installed on, they have arrow markings on the side and are meant to rotate a certain way when driving the vehicle, their tread pattern also are pointed towards the center of the wheel like an arrow, so it very noticeable when looking at them, if their actually installed correctly they should be facing towards the front of the vehicle when looking at them from the front
Now I haven’t looked at every vehicle in the games tires just a few like in Whittleton Creek and have noticed the tires are both marked outside indicating they’re asymmetrical tires yet have a tread pattern like rotational tire have, meaning no matter how the tires are installed on the vehicle, one side wether it be the drive side or passenger will be incorrectly installed no matter what.
Sorry in advance for any that actually read this but it’s just one of those things I found hilarious when looking at the small details contained within the game
No way dude! Can’t apologise for that. Love these details. Remember when movies didn’t even try to have technically accurate firearms play and everyone shot from the hip? That killed me and this is your version of that lol.
Probably a niche thing but why are some maps missing elevators? It bothers me that places like the himmapan hotel, palais de walewska, and others lack these when they would realistically have something like that for moving stuff and people who don’t/can’t take stairs
Because then they’d have to justify them not being usable. Just think of it this way: the Himmepan itself has way too few rooms to be properly functional, let alone profitable, as a proper hotel of its size and with that many staff, even catering to the elite, so it’s not realistic as-is. The Paris museum, eh, let’s say the owner had a fear of elevators and they just move big items up to other floors using a crane and putting the items in through the big windows. Mumbai and Dubai at least get by (no rhyme intended) by have the elevators be incomplete or only for escapes.
If it helps, I’ve had the same question about the bunker under the safehouse in Freelancer: there’s only one set of stairs and two ladders, so how the hell was all that equipment moved down there?
What cart? How’d they get it down the stairs without the wheels bouncing on the steps causing it to get out of control and plummet to the bottom? How’d they get that bulky equipment through that narrow opening behind the wine cooler? No explanation so far has been satisfactory.
I don’t think there is another door, but the stairs are no narrower than the ones in my old house that led to the basement and we got the washer, dryer, water heater, all the wood and paneling to finish the basement, chairs, beds, etc. down there. I don’t think using the stairs would be that big of an issue. Most stuff is modular now anyway and you just assemble it in place.
After thinking about it, I think, there isn’t much he brings down there anyway, is there? I mean, most of the deco stuff is upstairs. Down in the bunker it’s not much mobiliar anyway. If he brought most of it down before, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Most of the new stuff from the DLCs is stuff upstairs so there is not much to bring down to the bunker later that wouldn’t fit through.
And when nothing else goes, he gets Ross Geller to take charge and “PIVOT!”.
We didn’t have a toilet down there when freelancer started I don’t think. Now I have a nicely finished potty room with a fish tank. That sounds awful to carry anywhere, but don’t tight stairs all by myself? NO THANK YOU!
True. But we should not forget that 47 can do any job as soon as he wears the right outfit so maybe he is also a professionell fish tank maker and made that down there.
One thing that has always irked me: in Miami, its made clear by Diana and NPCs standing around the car that you can kill Robert Knox with during an opportunity that he doesn’t want anyone doing anything to his car and only he can touch it. Yet for the scripted kill, its perfectly fine for someone other than Robert (aka 47) to tinker with the car with a screwdriver and no one cares.
I get why its not an illegal action, but the lack of thought around it is annoying.
You have to be an engineer to kill him with that opportunity though, I tried to do it as a flamingo and he gets annoyed when you try to start up the car
