Great. Btw, what are the rules on using characters? Original, or game-targets only? Can we use something already established outside of Hitman? ('Cause, ah, I’ve got a great idea that definitely fits with the ā€˜mystery theme’, and I promise to give as many bio details as possible. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:)

You can use any character you like

Cool! After 2 rounds with Ms. Graves still unable to escape her ultimate demise, I was thinking about changing my character as well. So here it is: :slightly_smiling_face:

My name is Wes Allen, but you can call me Webster if you want, which was the street name I used back when I raced in Downtown Rockport.

  • Male. 45 years old. US citizen.

  • Like to dress like Morpheus, because nothing is cooler than bald, sunglasses, and leather jacket. :sunglasses:

  • Time served in Camden Penitentiary for street racing involvement and pursuit evasion.

  • Became a regular legal racers within the organization known as Battle Machine after time in prison. Have raced across the world since then. Chicago, Nevada, Tokyo, you name it.

  • Own a Chevrolet Corvette C6. This beauty has served me so well in all these years. And I dropped every single dollar on this ride to have maximum performance.

  • I am open for challenge if anyone here dares to race me in the countryside. But denting or sabotage my car will only bring trouble to yourself. So don’t test me on that one. :smiling_imp:

That’s all… for now. I may be a former criminal, but don’t let that give you the wrong impression. I am, however, still enthusiastic about hot cars and racing. Don’t hesitate to talk about the subject with me. :racing_car:

I’d like to join in with the new game please. For simplicity, I’ll stick with my character Dr Starlight.

• My name is Darrius Rivers, US citizen, 38 years old.

• My father taught me the game of Chess when I was 6 and I never stopped playing it since. My obsession with it has made me become a Grandmaster by age 16.

• I was married by 28 and won three championships but lost the fourth, and I deeply hate to lose. Discovered my wife was sleeping with my competition which she should know is not a legal move! The Queen doesn’t betray her King to join the other side of the board! That’s grounds for immediate disqualification, so I didn’t lose any sleep when thier car breaks…stop working all of a sudden while they were drinking and driving.

• I was never arrested due to lack of proof but the incident got me banned from tournaments. But I formed my own not-so-legal underground Chess tournament, though I spiced it up.

• Rules are simple: when you lose a piece, you drink a shot. Looks fun at first but it’s harder to play the more you drink, and with $10,000 on the line, that makes it worse. You vomit or pass out, you lose. Often times I may…sneak in an extra ingredient to add to that effect. I have six others who work for me and business is booming. Got bigger a audience then those official tournaments.

• Lord Kensington was a fan back when I use to play public tournaments. We hit it off well and now he keeps the police from knocking on my door and I give him a cut of the profits in return.

• If you’re looking to play against, be sure to bring your wallet. And just so you know, I only play to win at all cost. Losing makes me angry. :rage:

Suddenly, I was awoken surrounded by bystanders, with a man approaching me. He claimed to be a detective who used his magic detective powers to woke me up from death. I told them my story and the detective wanted to investigate what happened.

When we went to the nearest city the news proclaimed that the entirety of Nazareth’s manor had either been killed or fled the place. To my surprise a detective revived some of the guests to ask questions, including my old nemesis Dr. Starlight!
They all claimed they didn’t know what happened (even Starlight the liar, he must have killed himself to not let the blame be on him) and for some reason Lord Nazareth gave his house keys to someone else who decided to host another party to celebrate their survival of the events, with Dr Starlight coming back.

I’m assuming the killer is killed when found out (voted out), as what happened to Starlight here, forgive me if I’m wrong

Just like last time I prepared myself to go back there, with the detective tagging along. I believe that Starlight is the murderer, and am convinced this detective will help me confirm it.

Hello. I’m Professor Hershel Layton, or you might know me better as simply ā€œProfessor Laytonā€, archeology professor and puzzle-solver extraordinaire. You might recall my find of the Golden Garden? The lost city of Ambrosia? The ghost town of Folsense?

If you’ll pardon my language, I’ve been told I have a ā€˜kickass’ theme song…

Ah, yes, and if we're comparing automobiles, Mr. Allen, well I have this quaint compact car I like to call The Laytonmobile. Don't underestimate its speed.

Right I seem to forget mentioning what I am doing here. Our organization will host professional racing events around here about half year later. I am here to make plans and test drive on the tracks with my colleagues.

While my team have a hotel nearby to stay, because me and Lord SilentWraith go way back, he allows me to stay and use equipment from his garage. So I may go casing places with my team, but if you wish to find me, I will be at the garage. :hammer_and_wrench:

Pardon me, I don’t know much about chess, but I think this is a brilliant game! You must be excellent at both playing chess and holding your drink. It has the high risk element like I used to race pink slips during the street days, except we didn’t drink and drive, though.

Aww cute! You think you can touch my pure Americana V8 with that toy car of yours? I will definitely race you when the game starts! Who knows, maybe one of us will have a surprise waiting for us… :smiling_imp:

I was joking, though. I am glad you picked your favorite character from other games too! Personally I can’t resist from choosing the Vette with skull vinyl.

This name doesn’t quite hit the same as Lord Nazareth, when the game starts I will have a very small character backstory as well

Indeed I am. But it’s even easier money when my opponents drinks are spiked to make them pass out early. :money_mouth_face:

Playing dirty… I like it! Your style reminds me of my old pal Clarence, who had to cheat and create an oil leak to win that BMW. Looking forward to how creative you can get in the game… of murder. :smirk:

@William1066 Do you want to join in the game this time rather than just be a bystander?

Welcome everyone! My name is Alexander Ashfield Kensington, and I will be your host for your time here at the Jade River Estate, in the beautiful Lake District in North West England

Mr James Stewart, Mr Wes Allen, Dr Starlight, Professor Hershel Layton and Darrius Rivers have all arrived and are just settling in, the door is still open to guests!

The estate is quite large, here is a map for you, I’m sure it looks quite familiar, at least it does to me

Let me introduce you to my half brother, Clay:

He isn’t very smart, but oh boy is he strong! he killed our mother but it wasn’t his fault, he didn’t mean to-- well It doesn’t matter anymore.

He has lived here for the past 15 years, and knows the estate like the back of his hand! He is my head of security, and will make sure to keep all of you very safe (just don’t ask about his mother)

If you have any requests, feel free to ask one of my staff around the grounds. For any security related concerns, please notify me immediately and I will have Clay go and investigate.

Please settle in, the bar is open and I would highly reccomend this new cocktail I discovered, a bare knuckle boxer!

(roles will be assigned shortly to allow for any new players)

What a great choice! I’ve always had mine with a little bit more orange juice and a little bit less vodka, either because I love using fruit in my drinks or it lets me have an extra one before getting sleepy, :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

(Recipe taken from the note in Paris, just in case this is wrong)

Sorry I’m late everyone.

I am Thomas Randolph. I was born to a middle class family in Holland, Michigan, but my father worked for a prominent, wealthy family. From the beginning, I attended elite schools with rich students and, like them, spent much of my teens and twenties partying and consuming all the drugs I could find. But unlike them, I had no trust fund to support my habit, a problem I remedied by stealing from lakeshore houses, accompanied first by another scholarship kid, then by a couple of bored rich kids looking for a thrill.

We targeted people who were on vacation, but our luck eventually ran out in a home on Lake Macatawa. Unexpectedly confronted in the night, we panicked and, to my horror, the two owners ended up dead. I’d like to say that was the moment I vowed to straighten up my life, but that didn’t happen for another few months when I was arrested for a separate burglary and sent to prison for a year.

Finally clean, after my release I met a filmmaker at an NA meeting who was looking to make her first low budget horror movie. Surprisingly, her script was quite good, an extended metaphor for her addiction experiences. I started in on the crew, doing a little bit of everything for little pay, learning as I went.

The movie was well received and led to another and another and I began to develop a talent for creature effects and make-up (none of that CGI shit), which I’ve focused on for the past five years or so.

Now we’re looking to make a mid-budget movie, a kind of horror take on an English murder mystery, and I’ve come to Wraith Manor to do some advanced location scouting and to get inspiration for some dreary nightmarish monsters.

I would never be so low as to accept your invitation! I’m leaving! (By that I mean I’m going to stay outside
all day until the game ends).
