I copied this run and got a time of 2:47 now to run around annoying people in Ambrose island with shorts and a purple briefcase
I guess this is where we’re talking about the whole roadmap, and not just the ET.
I love that the durian and impact explosive are coming as unlocks. While not unique, the durian is a fun item whose overpoweredness is moot at this point in the game’s lifecycle. The golfball and baseball also already exist, but I like impact explosives so I’ll take it.
As for the unicorn horn and pinot noir… those are odd, lame choices. What good is a wine bottle unlock? (And I work in the wine industry!) Will it make poisoning Tamara Vidal more efficient? Barely. Such a weird choice. I do like the bonk animation… but now I just want the Malbec and Cabernet as unlocks to complete my collection!
Does the cane do anything special? I’m assuming it works on the secret doors in Dartmoor, and I’m assuming it doesn’t produce coins out of thin air when pacifying NPCs. I bought it, but the cosmetic unlocks in this pack are pretty subpar. You gotta give me an explosive of some kind with these paid cosmetic packs, even if the explosive is a reskin. Give me, like, a boxing glove that explodes on impact as a concussive (shaman powder reskin). Boom. Thematically consistent and fun. That’s 3 weeks of brainstorming work I just did for you IOI, I accept Venmo and cashier’s checks.
Yeah but not bathing in it or showing it off with huge gold necklaces
What really annoys me or more like disappoints me is seeing all the comments on Twitter or Instagram and other social medias from people saying “oh wow Conor McGregor, now I have a reason to reinstall the game!”
It is more important for them to make these people happy than the fans who stick to the game and still play it? These guys will probably deinstall the game after two hours of playing.
At least now I understand why IOI is not talking to us anymore. I mean, these people don’t care about announcements. They are happy when content is released, because they are not following any news at all because they literally don’t care about the game. This makes me very sad actually.
Wait what?? The arcade is already out? I thought today was only the anouncement and they would release everything on friday, damn. I’m rushing right now to twitch for the drop.
Could this be considered a shadow drop?
Don’t forget the Grand Pally!
(but yeah while I’m fine with the unicorn horn as it could make for a few silly contracts, that wine bottle is pretty much useless clutter )
Quick question for those who have played the arcade. Does it have mandatory complications?
IO took my challenge idea but changed everything about it but the name and unlock. I specifically chose thrown melee kill and Alexa Carlisle and her family because the unicorn is their symbol and I wanted to turn them into unicorns by throwing the four unicorn horns in their faces.
I have many challenge ideas and unlocks requests. The unicorn horn is mostly an excuse for that specific challenge that i thought would be fun but now it’s something else entirely.
Challenge Name: MYSTERY OF THE UNICORNS
Picture: The Unicorn Horn in the Hidden Room
Mission: Death in the Family - Dartmoor
Requirement:
-Collect the four Unicorn Horns
-Eliminate Alexa, Rebecca, Emma, and Patrick with thrown Unicorn Horns
Reward:
Unicorn Horn
Description/Explanation/Comments:
Find the missing Unicorn Horns and generously donate them to the Carlisle Family.
Only the second (and final) level. Insta-fail if you change starting disguise or seen doing something illegal.
I can’t belive they did it again. Who is behind this backwards stupid decisions? It seems that whoever was the voice of reason at IO was fired and now they keep making things like this. Nobody likes instafailing and being locked from the contract 12 fucking hours, that’s the whole reason why they had to change the mode back on 2022. What were they thinking?
At least is only two levels now, so I might actually buy the DLC this time. I need to play it to see if it’s worth replayability wise, or just a funless chore like the Undying arcade.
Just saw this. The target is not surprising after everyone figuring out the clues. The choice of location is intriguing though. It’ll be fun to see how exactly they redesign Sgail to fit this mission and the new NPC dialogue. Would be funny if Zoe and Sophia Washington were there and rooting for 47 or McGregor lol
Mission is fun. Started with Arcade and did the Mission Story first, just to have it done. Not a fan of QTE, so the fight wasn’t for me, but it got the job done. That way, the mission is pretty easy, of course.
Second I went for a kill with a battle axe and when escaping, ran into a restricted area like an idiot and failed the mission.
Sgail is a map, I have zero orientation on. I just can’t remember, where what is and always stumble around the map like in a labyrinth.
Well, new try tomorrow.
Shame the atlantide bottle in the ET doesnt spill out a puddle of water when you drop it
Maybe Diana thought they might be useful and decided to keep them around during her time as the Constant. Or she figured they wouldn’t hold much power without Providence. Or this detail is just not as thought-out as lore nerds would’ve preferred (it’s me, I’m lore nerds).
Give me just the blue trunks without the gloves as an unlock, pretty please and thank you IOI.
At the beginning of the year, I didn’t have much hope for new and exciting updates to Hitman in Year 4. I certainly didn’t expect to see another brand-new Elusive Target after The Drop. But here we are. The Disruptor has landed and I really enjoyed playing it.
Some thoughts (and spoilers) below.
-
I didn’t expect to see the ET on Isle of Sgàil, but I think it works apart from the fact that Janus’ body is still there. Couldn’t have been too difficult to remove it to keep the timeline intact, right?
-
Whenever you approach The Disruptor for the first time, the camera focuses on him automatically. It’s a small thing, but I hate it and hope we don’t see that anymore in the future.
-
If you finish the mission, a short cutscene plays, that shows The Disruptor in the OR in Hokkaido, eventually waking up. I find that scene really odd, because it doesn’t serve any purpose.
Could it be that Conor McGregor deliberately put it in his contract, that he didn’t want to stay dead forever after the mission? Maybe because he thinks it would make him look weak, if he gets beaten in the game? -
It was a cool surprise to see Atlantide make a comeback. I love that Hitman is a vast universe, so that we get cross-references like that.
-
But the most impressive thing of course was stepping into the ring with the target itself and beating him in a fist fight. I know the combat mechanics are very basic. But it was still fun to play. I also liked, that the missions ends as soon as he’s beat (EDIT: That might only be true for the Arcade mission). Needing to run to an exit afterwards would’ve felt more anticlimactic.
-
I also found it funny, that 47 keeps his trademark emotionless face in the cutscene immediately after the fight, when the Master of Ceremonies celebrates his victory.
-
All in all a fairly short ET, but fun nevertheless.
It was really fun. Probably the first time I got exited for an Elusive Target in years.
I did a quick playthrough and with the occasion I made a video. This is how I always play, calmly, walking and map off. If someone is interested…
Usually I go with the emetic dart gun in every Elusive. Simpler when the target and his bodyguard is vomiting away from witnesses.
The mission looks fun but, there’s so many famous MMA fighters out there.
Who thought McGregor was the best choice??
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHH
Who lives in a pineapple floating mid-air?
