OK, I’m very excited about this one. Looking forward to seeing if they can utilise much of what the main mission in Chongqing couldn’t fill out in terms of map use. My current hunch is an event taking place on the square…with some apartments being used for it too. But I could be completely wrong!
Like, I’m all for new content for sure, I’m just surprised like where are they getting all this money from to invest in re-licensing Sean Bean, getting 2 new celebrETs for WoA, and now a third in December??
No clue, but I hope it’s someone I recognize or is related to Hitman in some way…
Considering their name and the general high-tech vibe of Chongqing they could be a physicist or some kind of scientist? I dunno who could fit that title but I hope they will bring some changes to the map, like a rework of the ICA facility or the Block perhaps?
The sillouette reminded me of him. The ETs hair is quite similar, though he doesn’t seem to have glasses, so who knows…
There were all those memes when he became internet-famous calling him a professional assassin and what-not. And Hitman’s own social media commented on him a while back.
Wow! I really thought that them putting “new Elusive Targets” plural in the 2024 announcement was just them creatively writing technically the truth since The Undying is new for Hitman 3, but actually having a second fully new ET this year is a real surprise!
Like how The Drop shows off Berlin after the main story, it would be really cool if the ET took place in the ICA Facility area that shows what happened to it since the destruction of the ICA. Like maybe it’s all derelict and ruined or some other group has hacked into the high tech systems.
Honestly, I doubt it’s all that expensive to produce these, even with whatever fees they’re agreeing with the 3rd parties. I’d imagine that they make a modest profit from each one of these via direct DLC pack sales and any minor upsurge in base-game sales as a result of promoting these events.
So far we had the Undying, the Drop and the Disruptor. I’m not sure about the last one, but the first two are connected to both the in-game character as well as the voice actor.
If the Splitter name is also a reference to the real-life person, could it be Jean Claude Van Damme? He is known for doing the splits. It’s been a while since I saw a movie with him but the silhouette seems to fit at first glance.
PS:
Would be funny if he played a (surprisingly buff) scientist as @Melusca suggested.
