New Roadmap: Season of the Luck

Or it could be every other month perhaps? Roadmaps could cover two months worth of content before we look forward to the next? Who knows, but we know for sure that more is coming!

Fortunately the cat challenge can be done in contracts mode cause I was on a close timetable today that didn’t allow for the full mission.

Uhh, I just realised, the roadmap actually says it runs until March 31st…

So, no big-ticket feature of the PSVR2 mode in a roadmap then? Granted, it IS platform-exclusive, but huh, I really would have expected them to release the next roadmap around mid-March featuring it…

Let’s hope they at least dedicate some good promo time in the lead up to and release of that DLC mode. Because it’s gonna be one big release. Probably might be the biggest game on PSVR2 once it launches. a full 21 levels, lots of replayability and full support with all Challenges and main missions. And fully playable in VR (we hope) That’s just wild.

My assumption is that the patch will drop very late March, but the new roadmap won’t kick in until April. Might make a bit of a song and dance about it then.

Also, bare in mind this roadmap/blog post is also filled with errors, so the March 31st might just be incorrect as well. The Twitch Drop dates are wrong. The ET Galore says ET #12 is in both Parts 1 and 2 of the Galore. Absolution image in the FC image that was later replaced.

That could be work too, you know!::smiley: :stuck_out_tongue:

“yes, it requires hiring VA’s again and making new assets and spending time working out everything to make it feel festive” is not “comparatively nothing” in any sense production-wise.

The reason why Bonus missions aren’t more prominent is because they are still expensive to make, and I’m not happy with people trying to say that it isn’t. It is a flagrant disregard for actual production time.

Elusive targets are simply more lucrative for the company, and being either equal to, or even cheaper to make, and are even permanent now due to ETA, so there’s little incentive to do them on that front either. As impressive as The Splitter was, the changes were very specifically focused on one part of the map, and I suspect that just won’t be enough for some people.

Did they accounce anything about if things like these are considered bugs or are how they’re supposed to work in-game?

I know you lose SA when knocking out a target but I haven’t found anywhere that indicates if it’s a feature or otherwise (I do find it annoying because it “limits” your opportunities a bit).

I don’t know if I understand your question but the only knockouts you can do on a target without risking to lose silent assassin are kalmer darts and piano lid.

Yeah I know about that my question was if they talked about those being the only two methods that you can KO a target without losing SA or if there should be other ways to KO like the banana, rake, etc.
Or is it just something known for years that they haven’t talked about at all but only the community knows.

Yeah, I think it needs to be made consistent. Either everything that KO’s targets via accidents doesn’t ruin SA, or everything does. It’s really annoying how inconsistent this is, not to mention most people probably don’t even know this (especially piano lid which definitely feels like an oversight).

I’m guessing the next roadmap will evolve around Easter then? Hopefully that means we get the leaked Easter Safehouse decorations then

You actually finish the mission for these one-up challenges? I just do the challenge part and then exit back to the main menu (unless the challenge actually requires finishing the mission to trigger).

It almost feels like you need a PhD to figure out what the rules for KOs are. The game doesn’t really do a good job of conveying which scenarios ruins SA or not.

Maybe it’s because I’ve played the entire franchise, but I always found SA to be pretty intuitive with two exceptions: Sedating/KOs & Freelancer SA.

Firstly, sedation that is drug or accident-induced only keeps SA if the victim isn’t a target unless you used a tranq dart or dropped a piano lid on them. Nonetheless, I would point out that these exceptions are in the player’s favour, rather than the other way around.

As for Freelancer, this is basically SA without the improvements they introduced midway through the lifecycle of the trilogy - namely that being spotted by a target irreversibly ruins your SA prestige objective. I find it far more odious that HITMAN 2016 maps, when alerted, are rendered significantly more irritating than literally every other level - with the exception of Sapienza which, for whatever reason, doesn’t remove the mansion guard disguise from the apartment down-and-across from the ICA safehouse.

I tend to find videos hard to follow for something like this Maneki-Hitman challenge and associated Giant Maneki Neko Easter Egg. But all I could find online were videos, plus Hitmaps and a Reddit discussion that didn’t have all the locations. So I took some screenshots and wrote text descriptions for all the locations.

Unmarked spoilers in the collapsed boxes.

First location

On a shelf in an empty house.

Once you know it’s there, this one is easy to get. You can climb in the window, no need for a key or lockpick.

Second location

Across the wooden bridge, at the base of a tree on a cliff near a waterfall.

If you have a sniper rifle you can snipe this one from the bridge. Otherwise, from the bushes just before the camera works well with a pistol.

Third location

By the shrine, held in carved hands.

Easy to shoot from next to the generator. As for locating the hands, it can help to find the large central face above the shrine and pan down from there.

Fourth location

On the roof of a house, near a large bucket.

Shooting from behind the boat at the side of the cook’s house seems to work well to avoid being seen.

Fifth location

On a cliffside across the cove.

Shooting from just inside the house with the longtail boat key seems to work well to avoid being spotted. Or you can easily shoot it from the small beach through the cave.

Then to finish the Easter egg, fish from the end of the nearby pier. You can also look at the changed game screen inside a nearby house.

I think the so-called plague bird disguise challenge had a redacted requirement to actually complete the mission.

Making people complete the mission is good in a way HOWEVER contracts mode must be allowed.
