Hitman on Xbox is my alt account and I’m streaming the game via Gamepass on my Steam deck.
I’ve already completed the Lee Hong Derivation but I notice that I never did the Codename 47 challenges (the five thematically-linked, chronological challenges across the games that unlocks the low res suit).
In the escalation, you must pacify the chief of police (on the roof with binoculars). You instantly fail if you complete the target objectives wrong.
For the challenge, you must headshot a target with a sniper from the neon sign.
I decide to test something. I start the mission, grab a sniper, get to the sign and shoot the chief of police in the head. This kills him. The mission insta-fails and I get no challenge top corner sch-WACK pop up.
I reload the mission and check the challenge — it is completed successfully.
It is supposed to be available in the main game inventory only but would be cool if IO added the new weapons/tools to the random stash crates we find during missions in freelancer to create more variation.
New IOI article detailing their various notable feats that they said to have achieved over the year of 2024 and they tell us what their intentions are going forward into 2025 and beyond. Seems to not have any new real information relating to World of Assassination beyond what we knew already though. However, I thought I’d post it anyway as it may be an interesting read to some of you!
What caught my intention is completely skipping over Disruptor ever existing. Still somewhat annoyed that he remains visible in my Steam library after whenever I play this game.
Its not that odd that it didn’t get a mention, since they’ve scrubbed all mention of it already from their website imo. Would be weirder if it had gotten directly mentioned.
IO Interactive has like 5 Studios for a while now but no one knows anything about what they actually do except for “fantasy game” and “bond game”. No teasers, no trailers, no concept art, nothing.
They dropped a teaser for project 007 4 years ago. 4 years later complete silence. It’s a long time to not have a concept art, a glimpse of the game, something.
Definitely weird.
The first news actually goes back one year earlier.
In October 2019, they announced that they had partnered with WB Games to publish and distribute “a new console and PC game experience”, so would be either Project 007 or Project Fantasy.
Almost five and a half years later and the game is still seemingly nowhere near seeing the light of day.
To be honest it’s better that way instead of spoil a game with adjective marketing and pump hype for nothing. But I agree there should be at least some little info what is the progress of game.
The earlier game will show up the faster they start working on Hitman 4
It is comparatively nothing similar to how the difference between a billion dollars and million dollars is about a billion dollars. Though fair enough I get what you are saying.
I can’t wait for the day!! I think when the day comes, it will be a time jump set a few years in front after Diana and 47’s time as Freelance operatives. Obviously this game would have moved on from the WOA Trilogy.
I have this odd feeling in my bones that p007 has restarted development at least once in that time. Because that’s the only thing that makes sense to me as to why nothing has been shown publicly
