Player-Made Elusive Contracts (All Platforms)

Urgh, messed this one up hard. Got spotted by that Agent who strolls around the juice bar area, shot cameras (failing that complication), misremembered Poisonings counting as accident kills - I guess that part’s only for finding bodies, not for Contracts.

Maybe next time, I’ll get 'em…

I followed all the rules…
I also seem to be the only one who has made it out alive. My Score? Zero Points (but imma debate that in a sec)

Gosh this was a hard one. The no-gun restriction I think was a bit much, but adding on a headshot thing on top of that was too far, IMO. Made me lose the Objectives bonus even if my targets died in the proper way.
Also, today I learned Car Batteries don’t ignite oil puddles.
And that my target just ate my car battery! What kind of magician act was that, he just made it dissappear! I needed that!! :weary:
(…I really should have started in the Biker hangout. Somehow I thought I’d easily be able to get in as a bartender and poison some drinks.)

Can I appeal that I at least get granted the ‘No Noticed Kills’ bonus? (20k points).
I drowned 2 of the targets, I didn’t kill a non-target, the last guy blew himself up… But why didn’t I get that one stack of points? I swear I should have!
The rest looks valid. I didn’t get the objectives bonus because a dart didn’t hit someone’s head, I was spotted multiple times, a KOd body was found, recordings were left, etc. (meant to use the EMP for that, but I was focused on staying alive at the end).

This contract is apparently pretty hard, with three good agents failing.

@TheChicken For what it is worth, I did not know that car batteries didn’t ignite gas leaks either (but they certainly ignite gas drums). It’s not like that strat was among my intended strats, but I did think it was possible, so that’s a bummer :frowning:. I also can see how the complications are a bit much to say the least, so I’ll probably be a bit more forgiving next time. Props to you for seeing the complications and still risking a Sieker strat! .

And with regards to the no noticed kills, I can’t find anything odd in your footage, so I am very much inclined to agree with you. There is a small cut after your first kill, so I can not 100% confirm it, but it is pretty much impossible that that kill was noticed, and as you did not kill non-targets, logically you would probably be correct . I could however imagine that giving points outside of the game might be too much of a hassle. I’ll see what other people think about this (of course watching the footage AFTER they attempted the contract).

EDIT: I do now see that I had a disguise restriction in the contract, and that was honestly unintended. Oh well

Thanks for the tip on gas drums. Honestly, I think they should ignite gas leaks if it can do the same for drums, but the puddle for the bike might be small enough that it can’t trigger it. (maybe it would work if the battery flipped upside down, with the sparks coming out the bottom) :man_shrugging:

Yeah, sorry, I just noticed that too. Logically though, yeah, that should be an unnoticed kill as well. No one was chasing after me after I’d drowned the first guy.
If you look at the stats screen at the end, you can see the first guy must have been unnoticed, since I got 15xp for Unnoticed kills. Divide that by 3 and, well… (also 10xp for melee kills for the drowning and 5xp for the one explosion kill)

Now I’m thinking: and I don’t remember this ever being the case – maybe it changed with Hitman 3 – but maybe me losing “no noticed kills” was due to knocking out NPCs in full view of others. That shouldn’t remove the noticed KILLS bonus, but that’s the only explanation I have for this outside of it being a bug.

“No noticed kills” seems bugged since I’ve lost it for bullshit reasons too (but only if the run wasn’t SA anyway).
My failure was just my own stupidity because I probably could have still SA’d the run because the only one who spotted me was the target and for some reason I just tried to do a kill that didn’t work and messed up everything. :joy: Next time better I guess.

I think you’re right. I haven’t watched your video yet, but I was curious, so I fired up Paris, pushed Dalia onto Viktor (always a good time) and then made a save (with SA, of course) right before exiting in the basement.

When I punched a chef in clear view of another chef, I lost never spotted, no bodies found and no noticed kills. When I lured one of the chefs away and punched him in the face without anyone else around, I lost never spotted and no noticed kills.

…So people can now see themselves get KO’d or die. Wonderful.

Okay, I tried this just now, except for KO/Kill in front of another person.

It really seems like this is a weird new bug. People can see themselves get knocked out. Yikes.

I’m gonna report this in the bug thread

Oh, thank God. I noticed this last week, but thought I was going crazy and further misremembering the rules.

I followed the rules.

3/5 stars. Far from perfect, but I’m in the lead. Whoop!

I foolishly forgot about the no-gun restriction halfway through the contract, and my first kill violated the disguise requirement – but the latter wasn’t my fault. As you can see from the video, I was wearing a biker disguise, but apparently biker disguises taken from ICA agents are invalid. Boo.

Nice contract. Stolen bike retrieved. I’m amazed I found the keys, honestly, even with explicit directions.

Damn. I knew that the ICA Agent Biker’s disguise was treated as a completely different one (in that if you get compromised as a Biker, you can put his “Biker” disguise on and it’s as if you’re an entirely different person – even though the only difference is that he’s got a green jacket) but I thought all that was a bug.

Nice job David. Wow.

Nice job! I explicitly stated that the biker disguise was not an agent variant, but to be fair, I added that somewhere last evening so I can see how you missed that. I will take better look at your video later, but I’m happy that the contract is not completely undoable.

What a rollercoaster. I think I managed to be clever and stupid all at once.

Hi Sany, I think you might be looking for the Fan-Made contracts thread. This thread here is a totally different place where we challenge each other to contracts each week, winner’s choice.

Nice work. I like how you seemed to think you had killed all three targets and were ready to get out of there.

Good trick luring the final guy to the bathroom with his dead friend’s body. That’s cold.

Welp, I’ve got my Elusive Contract prepared, for whenever I end up topping the leaderboard.

Looking at it now… it’s actually pretty objective-heavy (oops), in that there’s some things you can do to get bonus points on top of the targets I’ve set to kill. It definitely looked better in my head.

So… I think I’ll set those bonus objectives as optional, or either/or for each.
Sorry, just teasing a bit of what I’ve got tumbling around in my head.

Ugh, this week has flown by so quick I didn’t even end up playing this one :man_facepalming: ah well, at least I’ll be nice and rested to crush the next one :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I do the same all the time when I’m excited about something I’m making  look forward to seeing it mate

A little tricky contracts for this mode but a very fun one also.

I followed the rules my score is 42.801.

The week is over, and I think that, no matter the bugs, it is safe to declare a winner.

Congratulations @ZeroGravitas with your great run! Not a true silent assassin, but the fault is more in my contract than in your skills .

EDIT: This seems to be the second thing he wins today, how lucky!
