Sorry, when is the deadline? Is it Wednesday? I’m not sure.
The other two ended at midnight Wednesday UTC, so I’m assuming that’s the deadline for this one as well.
Did you have a wrench in your starting loadout? I didn’t know there was one. Do you remember where you can unlock it?
I did have a wrench in my loadout. It’s unlocked by completing 20 featured contracts on the H1 & H2 maps.
I followed the rules (although it took me forever to find the option to turn off the Mini-Map).
Was overly cautious…
Poisoned the first target, sneaked to the graveyard, took out both ppl next to the lawn mower, placed the target next to it and shot till it exploded. Sneaked to the last target, hit her over the head with a brick and dumped her in the river.
I cocked it up and got caught towards the end
very fun tho
Edit: but I finally followed the rules this time
It is a nice surprise to see so many new runs all of the sudden! It is also nice to see that so many agents are getting (very) good ratings.
@Vincent I should have replied earlier, but I loved this run (great choice of outfit as well
). It is too bad that you did not realize that poison is no accident, but you will certainly know that next time it comes up.
@ZeroGravitas I realized that suit only does not suit everyone (huehue), but it was a conscious choice to prevent people from picking the OP detective disguise (I could of course have added a condition, but I found it hard to justify such a condition, and I wanted to keep the amount of conditions somewhat low). In return, I chose “easier” targets. Once again, first contract, so I still have much to learn when it comes to design.
@djsojus Thanks for playing! I specified that I at least wanted to see a photo of the destroyed device in the special conditions (as Chopspar said, in hindsight it is not clear if the condition was a good idea, but I wanted to have some fun with the new camera). If you do have the photo, you can still add it to the post (or if I’m just overlooking it, enlighten me
). You should also confirm that you completed the first condition. Otherwise, I am afraid it it unfair to others to accept the run.
@TheContractor I am honored that this is the contract where you started to follow the rules
. Too bad that your run was ruined at the end, though.
It is getting harder to track who is winning for now, but I believe it is ZeroGravitas (while waiting for an answer from djsojus). I also assume the deadline is the same as always.
You’re right! Shit! I didn’t read that carefully enough. Didn’t take a photo
I guess the win goes to @ZeroGravitas
So, I uh, totally failed.
After forgetting to bring a lockpick, (though I had a breaching charge - I wanted to use it for a propane tank) I ran around the whole mansion grounds looking for a crowbar, I didn’t find one.
I did, however, find Mr. Fernsby, and wrongly assumed the Mansion Master Key would get me easily into the greenhouse. It did not. I had to use my breaching charge.
Then, the real chaos came. I stumbled upon Emma sneaking around in the Greenhouse and KOd her. Unfortunately, she was standing right in front of the poison machine, and either her body or my weapon hit the machine on the way down, damaging it. I hadn’t realised this, and was wondering why I didn’t have a prompt to fix it, but… Damn.
At the same time, some random guards come in to kill me. Where they came from, I have no idea. I knock them out both, accept that the machine is in unsalvageable and that my Suit is forever compromised… and blow myself up.
I didn’t want to resort to quitting this contract, but I was too deep into trouble to get something good out of it. Ah well. There’s always the next one.
I’m publishing a video, should post it soon.
Sounds like a fun adventure
. Just to rub salt in the wound, there is a crowbar right behind the greenhouse, which is not that hard to get suit only (in my test run, it is literally the first thing I picked up). I had not foreseen the option of accidentally breaking the device, but I should have thought of it in hindsight.
I am very much looking forward to the video, could be the most amusing thing that I have seen in a while.
I followed the rules.
My first time playing the map. I surprised and impressed myself by eliminating the first two targets flawlessly, and even reaching the greenhouse and identifying the final target.
That’s when I hit a DEAD END, all capitals.
I could not for the life of me find a wrench. Hopping from bush to bush, I searched every outdoor area I could for the next thirty minutes, circling the entire manor, but no luck. And I eventually ran into trouble poking my nose into the house. You can guess the rest. lol
Although thwarted by my pitiful map knowledge, I enjoyed myself and learned a lot about the manor grounds that will help me in future contracts.

I REALLY should have hinted at/given the location of the essential items in this contract. I gravely underestimated how hard it is to find items when you do not know where they are and have instinct off. Oh well, lesson learned, and thank you for trying!
Also, I am now incredibly confused about the deadline, as one person said it was midnight wednesday UTC, but I am 100% sure I made my contract ON a wednesday. Someone else with a clearer understanding of the rules will have to declare when the deadline has passed
In the previous contracts we set the deadline at 00:00 UTC so it wasn’t exactly a full week but I’m not sure what has been the tradition before that. Anyway it has now been a full week nonetheless so the winner seems to be @ZeroGravitas!
It’s not your fault, at least for me. I’m pretty sure the required items were near where some of the NPCs were standing, and I just did not want to get anywhere near them in my suit.
Since Mendoza’s bugged, I guess I’m stuck with Chongqing. ![]()
The Moonlit Dancers
(I apologize for the briefing, but I think Diana is feeling a little post-release letdown.)
Look, 47, I know these briefings are usually colorful stories of villainy and betrayal, but I just haven’t been feeling it lately. I mean, the ICA’s gone, the bad guy’s dead. It’s like…what’s next? You know? Does it even really matter? We all know there’s going to be some other treacherous villain threatening our lives in, like, four or five years or something, so what’s the point? What is the point?
But, if you care, this guy is cheating on his wife and apparently their pillow talk is all about those weird experiments that are still going on in what used to be Hush’s lab and I guess management doesn’t like him spilling secrets. So kill the guy, his mistress and the brother she tells everything. Not that any of this will make a difference.
I’ll leave you to, I don’t know, prepare or whatever.

Target Info for Recreation
- Felix Oakes is on the upper left. He’s the dancing guard and is stationary.
- Jinhai Zhao is on the upper right. He’ll stay there until you get close enough to trigger the conversation with his wife.
- Huifang Qian is a bit trickier. She does a clockwise circuit around the Restaurant and Inner Courtyard, mostly the walkways, but she should be checking her phone at the entrance to the Restaurant around 1:30.
I followed the rules
I achieved a score of 101,157 points (with a 3 star rating). From now on, I will post nice videos documenting every little mistake I make during these contracts.
For people who prefer text (or want to understand what I was thinking when I did that one thing): here be spoilers:
Chongqing is without a doubt my worst map at the moment, I still need to learn the layout. Luckily, this contract was kind enough to put all targets outside of the confusing secret lairs, but I still needed about a minute at the beginning to understand the general layout.
I managed to get out of the restaurant start at the exact time the female target passed by a car, so you can guess how she died. I got away with it, then made my way to the guard (had to lockpick a fence after I tried to remember the code that I heard 30 seconds earlier for about a minute of thinking) and lured the guard to the edge. So far so good
The last target was in the restaurant, and I brought a syringe as I did not know who he was. I considered taking an emetic device beforehand, but I decided against it as chongqing is very accident prone already. When I saw the targets location, I immediately regretted my decision. Tried to lure him with coins to a spot where he would be out of everyone’s vision, and “succeeded”. When I did the deed, I remembered the concept of peripheral vision. Oh well, at least I got away unscathed
I loved the choice of targets here, and thought myself pretty lucky up until the end. Thanks for the contract @ZeroGravitas! (and let us see how many seconds it will take before this score is beaten, my guess is not that much
)
That car kill was impressive tho, well done! Not sure I’d have the balls to do that in an elusive contracts run
Btw I’ve finished my run, just uploading now, so I didn’t spoil myself
After all those years, I am happy to say I am reasonably comfortable with those kills.
However, lawnmowers are the bane of my existence, and made me fail plenty of contracts in Dartmoor (for example my own when trying to create it :P)
No, not at all! It was a well-designed contract. You’re not to blame for me being a slow-poke and never having played the level before. lol
