For the tease image, part of me hopes for the first non suit only 7DS escalation, another knows that it might just be IOI keeping the suit reveal for the 23rd, and all of me is now hoping for @Urben’s observation to be true. I want to see Zoom meeting lazy 47 !
For the escalation I’m intrigued by Mendoza. It’s the map with the largest public area with suit access after dubai and so much can be made with it on social stealth.
A Rude Ruby Suit then, maybe for the featured contracts final unlock ? (we do have the flamingo suit for the ones on hitman 1 and 2 maps afterall, but jokes asides a duckie one or a more traditional one are more probable)
For the tease image, I just realised that it might have a green filter on it. That would make sense since green is the usual color associated to the sin of envy. (the usual animals are snakes, goats, and dogs)
I didn’t know for the yellow in german countries. Thanks for the information. And yes green is also a symbol of spring, renewal and hope (it’s the ordinary color worn by catholic priests for a reason).
But since Shakespeare have coined the expression “green-eyed monster” in Othello it’s also the symbol of jealousy and envy.
Assuming that Envy is set in Mendoza, I really hope Diana is still on the map. Would be cool to have her dancing with other people who then become the targets

It would also give a reason to keep the “do not eliminate diana” requirement.

New patch sounds good glad theyre decluttering the suit menu. I think they could go further. The Lynch, Cowboy and Raver suits are low key enough to be in the casual tab. Arkian Tuxedo could go in formal
Absolutely! lol I’m very positively surprised what I thought far fetched turned out to be pretty much what Envy is.
AFAIK, the targets will be previous Hitman characters, so maybe the targets will be these mentioned assassins instead of being our competitors.
Nonetheless, this is the 7DS I’m most excited for!
I feel like it would be way too easy if you could just get rid of the main threat of the mission, though maybe you can but there’s some challenges that say “Complete Level X without killing the assassin”.
Since it’s an escalation it might be like that one in Colorado back in H2016. I think it was called The Mallory Misfortune, you had to eliminate targets while this guy “stalked” you around the map and after one level you weren’t allowed to kill or pacify him. It was annoying and difficult, because he was also an enforcer for all the disguises on the map if I recall correctly.
It has not reappeared in H2 or H3 versions of Colorado. But maybe IO has tweaked the concept, to make it less…frustrating.
Well since he won’t be a target, killing him would automatically void SA (which many players care quite a lot about). Stuffing him in a closet wouldn’t, but yeah, there’s probably at least something that prevents it.
I’m wondering – since the promo trailer doesn’t show 47 wearing the Envy suit – that each level, or only the final one, would have 47 kill his competitor after fulfilling the needs of Envy. Then you get to wear his suit as you exit the level.
