*Unlocks from Deadly Sin:
The last three sins have released an item with unique gameplay (sedative gas, sedative gum and flash gun). It sounds like we won’t get any new thing this season. Maybe the two are just reskin of the Sniper Tuatara and the Black’s Almond dagger (with poison in the hilt). It would be new unlocks for players who don’t possess the Haven Islands map…
At first sight, I’m not very enthousiast. Having a new sniper after the whole bunch we already get? Is it absolutlety necessary to have like 18 snipers (I don’t remember the exact count) with most of them sharing the same perks? Let’s see after playing with it, maybe I’ll change my mind.
This season will offer at least two snipers (one with DS, the second through the FC).
Envy escalation
Looking forward to it! Having a kind of contest against another assassin is a good idea for me. It’s always interesting to see IOI introducing new features to create variety amidst the escalations.
It looks like a Colorado escalation from H1 (Mallory misfortune) where a stalker is present (enforcer for all disguises of course) and keeps following 47 on the map. He also must remains untouched otherwise the mission is failed. Pretty sure we’d have the same requirement for this escalation.
Roadmap speculations
- Reintroduction of legacy escalation Mallory misfortune?
- An ET from Colorado (follows the same pattern from previous seasons).
- An ET from H3 map (most likely Dubai or Chongqing). My preference goes to Dubai. This map fits with the idea of Envy.
- Featured contracts.
- Colorado map for free for a limited period of time.
Travis mentioned during the last IOI insider a “unlock packed roadmap”. What could it be? They are still two unlocks (hammer and Jaeger 7 Camo from a removed challenge pack of H1) that aren’t obtainable in H3 other than using carryover process. Maybe this month?

He has to be killable at some time. We are going to wear his suit eventually.

It’s all guess-work until we know, but it’s possible that they’ll just unlock the suit as a reward for completing the escalation without ever needing to kill the rival too. In the Pride escalation you could unlock the peacock sniper without ever actually picking it up so it’s not without precedent.
If we do get one of the two Colorado Elusive Targets, I think I’m going to just do the scarecrow wicker man thing and burn him, along with everyone else.

This is the trailer from 4 days ago, in case anyone missed it.
This looks really good. I just hope this other assassin has a dynamic approach to enhance replayability. If so, and assuming the cat giving the instructions has vague requirements (“accident kill” etc.) and that we can select a loadout, this could easily be another DGS.

I’m just thinking… The ET “The Undying” in Miami matches with the general theme of Envy and the escalation where 47 is facing a rival.
The “unlock packed roadmap” can speak about the items related to the Undying.

I’m not reading too much in that “unlock packed” statement personally. We’ll have three unlocks for the Envy escalation itself. One more for reaching 60 featured contracts. If they can get three elusive targets fit that would get to the challenge for 15. That’s at least 4 and maybe more unlocks in a single month which could be all that was meant by it.

Looks like Travis is onto it with how the roadmap usually leaks early. Presumably the URL where it will eventually sit has had the image usually used for patches put up in its place.

I know that I’m doing less than 30 minutes of foreshadowing here, but the patch notes announces, :
More unlockables items (that are not related to Featured Contracts) will be available throughout the Season of Envy.
So it might be part of it (or just some random picture), but let us wait for the roadmap. It will give us the full list of information, and as usual a magnificent outfit for Clemens_IOI in the video.
