There’s an argument to be made that LEGO is okay with focusing on the cartoonish elements of the characters in spite of the violence – like, say, Joker is allowed to be a typical “evil villain” but his sets are never shown torturing innocent people or putting them in life-threatening situations. And, in case I’m wrong, it might be put up that Batman always saves the day and the people in question would never get hurt…
Whereas with a property like Hitman, or many other franchises that would be great to have in Lego form, such as some iconic horror icons like Michael Meyers or the Xenomorph (man, a good sci-fi Alien set would be great) – the point of the matter is that those franchises’ main focus is on death, blood, and frightening imagery, one that Lego doesn’t want to promote or be associated with.
They do have an “Adult Collection” but those are reserved for more elaborate builds, sets to be used as decorations, or vintage items that cater to older nostalgia.
Or, in some rare cases, sets that tow the line of being totally child-friendly so it gets placed in that area, like a recent Dune or The Office set…
I feel like there was a better way of photographing that halcyon kingfisher set that taking it from behind the bird. Other than that I have nothing to add
I am very happy for the new roadmap. Haven’t played the undying since it came out back then, so it will be nice to kill him again once and for all
And I am excited for the new safehouse decorations! Even if it’s a paid DLC (I am sure it will not be that expensive) it’s great to have something new for the safehouse and I hope we will see more like this in the future!
I still hope for more new content this year, along with something we already know. My hopes are still high for this ether HQ we saw on the pamphlet on Ambrose and that Grey will be there You know me, I am an endless optimistic and will never give up dreaming
But for now, I am very happy with the new content and I am looking forward to it! The purple ducky looks so cool
And why does that eyepatch suits 47 so well? Is there anything that man can’t wear?! He really is like Ken
What can I say other than I can think of way worse than him in the world of comics alone. I haven’t read every Batman story ever but the worst I’ve seen of him was probably in Killing Joke, and that was honestly pretty mild compared to really disturbing stuff like The Filth.
I don’t think we’ll be getting anymore maps, but bugs fixes and tweaks for Freelancer will probably come over the next few months. Don’t forget, we still have the ongoing coin saga that will hopefully be addressed
I’m hoping Freelancer will be part of the upcoming patches. Like I’ve just posted above, we still have some outstanding bugs fixes, such as the missing Coin and the soundless Dubai Helicopter taking off from the Safehouse.
Either way I know one thing, we need this Duck in the Safehouse weapon boxes
Don’t know if future roadmaps are going back to the Seasonal roadmaps, but if not, IOI might be covering the 2024 content from March - June (Undying Roadmap), July - Sept and then Oct - Dec.
Then you’re another person who doesn’t fully understand what the character is, but that’s ok, there’s lots of them. A discussion for another time in another thread. Anyway,
So much this, we have tons of fixes needed to make the mode less prone to breaking immersion.
Especially since it would actually be even more appropriate for him to come back in this particular game even with those accusations; we get to kill him here!
As much as I like the return of Mark Faba and the rest of the roadmap, I have to point out that veteran players who didn’t have any Elusive Targets to complete have not had anything to do in this game for three months. The next new content (not including featured contracts but those aren’t “new” content) isn’t for another month now.
