To me, this sin emphasizes ‘Efficiency’ over doing it the hard way. Efficient ≠ Fast (at least, not always). And the challenge is to find the easiest way to complete these.
I don’t think these are about feeling guilty as they are a chance to indulge. Yet, it’s kinda strange with this one where you’re penalized when doing too much. Maybe they should’ve had it to where 47 doesn’t die, but goes to sleep… “You’ll be too tired to carry on.” -Sloth’s voice, probably.
