Seven Deadly Sins Act 5: Gluttony

Alright, but you have to admit that it’s close.

It’s similar in style, but regardless, it’s not like you have a Vampire Magician suit already, so it’s not redundant.

All I’m going to say is, once I watched that trailer for ‘Gluttony’ I instantly got A Meat Kings Party vibes :wink:

Looking forward to playing.

The area outside the restaurant is kinda cool but could’ve been better and that’s about it of the map changes that I’m interested in from my perusal of the map

Escalation done and dusted. Quite uninteresting and extremely simple. I’d go as far as saying its the worst premium escalation to date.

I can only see myself returning to it to follow a guide at some point to mark off the two redacted challenges because I don’t care enough to search for them myself. After that, I likely never touch the escalation again.

I think all u need to do for the redacted is throw a cowboy bust and a muffin into the pot

I don’t get why people complain about reskinned suits so much. Most of 47’s suits are just the same suit/tie combo in different colors. How much variety can there really be with a suit? The Themed outfits are the only interesting ones in the game.

Well that’s a fun escalation. I really appreciate how open it is. The escalation have no real targets and lets the player choose who to kill. I believe it is a first, or at least rare. Where the Lust escalation used its openness to make use of the (huge) number of routes in Berlin, the Gluttony escalation uses it to have fun with the double forteress in Chongqing.
Between Sloth, Lust and now Gluttony we are really seeing what escalations can do in variations and changes to the Hitman formula and I’m here for it. We also have a bunch of easter eggs/out of the box challenges, which are always good ideas.

The level is on par with Darthmoor on sloth in terms of aesthetic changes. I did see a few more useful covers here and there, but it’s mostly cosmetic. It helps a bit with the suit only requirement.

I was just a bit disappointed by the last level. I was hoping for a full menu. It would have let the players have fun with all the guards without having to reset the escalation. Berlin was great for that, and I replayed it because of it.

The suit is damn fine. And contrary to the Paris Vampire suit does not clip. It does unfortunately randomly go back to the lower texturs. The blue cape is beautiful and uses the velvet shaders from the sloth suit. Loved it then, demanded for more and still love it now. After all Glutonny is not just food, but also oppulence, and the suit and its description reflect that. The shotgun is a shotgun no more no less, but it is concealable, an item not yet available for Hitman III only owners. The bubble gum is still to be tested. I do not think it will change the whole game (especially with the goldbrick proximity mine), but it is good for roleplay and slick runs. I like it.

Just one thing IOI : the bubble gum is reordering the carefully placed antique syringes in the poison tab. I am unhappy from that.

For the roadmap, it is a short but dense one. I will (hopefully) finally unlock the undying suit, blue tie ! I am now almost certain that the holiday roadmap will be separate from the wrath one. Good, it’s more for us, and we are all suppose to be gluttons this month.

Technically I think everyone’s right in that list! Of the Procurers, we’redefinitely dealing with a cannibal, one of the targets looks like he’s wearing a chef’s vest, and we’re getting a Food Critic as a Legacy ET!

So… everyone wins! (Well maybe except for the ‘Other’ group)

I hate that in level two when i poison the guard after knocking out the guy in the restaurant toilet he vomits in a bin

Well, I dig it. I dig the pig. Chongqing is one of the trilogy’s best maps IMO (two vertical swiss cheese fortresses, love it) and having an open-ended “mission” like this is a smart way to encourage route experimentation and whatnot. I personally don’t care that it’s simplistic; I enjoy being in the map and it’s nice to take out all these piggies without it affecting my green guns.

The shotgun is… fine. It looks cool. The gum is also fine but doesn’t stack up against Sloth’s proximity mine. I’m still hoping for an eventual chloroform flask unlock, but --hehehe-- don’t hold your breath. The suit is dope.

I respect those who don’t buy the 7DS, but apart from Greed I’ve had my fair share of fun with the package. It would be cool if we could eventually create contracts in these new-asset-filled levels though.

The inventory tabs are laughably unorganized, so every once in a while when something looks right like the two antique syringes, it really gets my goat when a new item comes along and screws the whole order up.

I think that’s because the Inventory tab is organized alphabetically. But the suit tab is a whole other matter.

Something that is not announced in the intels but fun to know : feeding the pig with one type of food will give you rewards.

As such: in the last level feeding the grapevines gives a second bubble gum, a silverballer
, an explosive duck and a level 2 dongle.

Just something else making me wish for a full menu level akin to Berlin.

I’ve only just started playing it but it seems good so far. The fact that you can choose your targets makes it easier and less restrictive.

I did level one in 3:29 including the optional objective. I’m not sure if that’s a good time yet.
