I cannot understand your message
Sir what is ent , it seems like whatever it is , it’s missing in my folder
I actually figured it out i had a ghost smf folder in the H3 directory. I also didnt realize i had to run the smf exe from the root folder as admin. Thanks for the help and the response
Sir can this work on cracked versions also ?
I can answer that it will not, and even if it did it wouldn’t be supported.
So is there any other way to install mod in cracked version
Not as far as I’m aware. You’ll need to buy the game in order to use most community-made tools & features, and this is true of most games in my experience.
Ok. Thank you so much sir
I’ve been getting stuck on patching thumbs on every mod ive been trying to install and tried every thing i’ve mabe spent like 6 hours trying to fix this but it’s just not working im playing the game on xbox gamepass is that going to be an issue
“Don’t make me tap the sign.”
Try running it as administrator.
Whenever a ‘Deploy Unsuccessful’ happens, is there a way to narrow down where the problem is in order to fix it?
As in which mod might be causing the deployment failure…
I had Freelancer Variations working, but I wanted to eliminate some of the night-time variants (since they were too dark to see in most places). So I used the site picker and did everything as I did before (as far as I know), even redownloading the SDK(?) mod and replacing/overwriting the old one.
Or (and, as much as I hate to infer this) would it be an issue with SMF that I wouldn’t be able to fix it?
Because, ultimately, the main thing that I changed was the freelancervariations.json file.
Sorry. I don’t know if should’ve posted this here or in the FLV topic.
Other than looking at the log to see whether it says “Failed to convert file!” immediately after “Deploying Freelancer Variations” no?
If you suspect there’s an issue with SMF, use the report form pinned on the Nexus.
I honestly don’t know where the issue would be, so I’d hate to think I’m making a legit report on SMF if that isn’t the case.
Here is just one mod (besides FLV) that I tried to deploy, but (it) failed.

This error originated either by throwing inside of an async function without a catch block, or by rejecting a promise which was not handled with .catch(). The promise rejected with the reason:
Error: ENOENT: no such file or directory, lstat ‘C:\Program Files\Epic Games\HITMAN3\Simple Mod Framework\patchWorker1\PatchedQuickEntityJSON.json’

So can anything be determined from this?
The only things in the patchWorker1 folder are…

Try this GitHub artifact: https://github.com/atampy25/simple-mod-framework/suites/13778810293/artifacts/763623318
It’s from the latest development version which is incompatible with a lot of mods but should be fine for anything you’ve deployed once in the older version (since SMF auto-updates some mod files)
It says it’s missing/Page Not Found…
Edit: Alright. I did have a folder for the previous version of SMF. I took it upon myself to clear it out and finally deleted it. I only have the folder with the newest version of SMF. I do wonder if the problems I’m suddenly having are related to my having deleted the old version’s folder.
I mean, why would I need it (I ask myself)?
Edit2: Now I’ve attempted to delete the cache folder… Well, all that I can, but there is an extremely stubborn FLV file that can’t be deleted, and thus the cache folder remains. Seems like there was an old CMD prompt trick to get rid of files.
this is fked. renamed ‘Cache’ to ‘notcache’ and sub folders leading to undeletable file/folder (whatever). I guess it can stay there and fester. I’ve already got a new cache folder, but that still didn’t help any mods deploy.
Edit 3 or 4: Useless file is moved to C:/ and still persists. Maybe there’s a way to nuke it via the registry… Dammit.
If only there was a way to clear everything and restart fresh. I’d happily take the too dark to see freelancer missions over not having any mods at all.
Every time I go to apply mods i get the error in the picture below it worked fine before I had to reinstall windows then it just packed up the deploy log: Hastebin
