Hitman & 007 Crossover with Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby as a series of Celebrity ETs would be nice. But unlikely.
And I know, I am the minority with this, but instead of remasters of older games, I would rather have those games or better said the missions of those games in WoA, since it is the superior game to all the others in my opinion; with the exception of Blood Money maybe, but even that isn’t the ultimate playground for hobby-assassins like me, so I don’t want to take steps back and keep all the creative freedom WoA gave me.
But nonetheless it should be interesting to see, what they will announce in a few days. Escpecially a first look at 007 should be worth the while.
Frankly, if that’s going to be the case, my pick would be the most recent Blofeld himself, Christoph Waltz, just to be able to hear that voice coming out of an ET. You know, since Sean Connery and Christopher Lee are sadly no long options.
Well, I guess with AI they would be, but let us just never open that door …
Waltz could be fun, to be honest. His acting style seems like a perfect fit for Hitman. Not to serious, but not completely silly, and if he wants to, he can be kind of intimidating.
Interesting thought, I never considered that the end to WOA is not a set-in-stone event around the 007 release. It might make sense to reconsider the strategy of a year or two ago.
There are prominent examples where that is the case as pointed out by Fleur.
I am not saying I am super happy with that idea. But depending on how serious IO is on such an approach I can see the needed polish to WOA is coming more likely than with just keeping to pay the server bills and forgetting about the game some day.
And before you start with “that is not what I mean” - that is what the sales department of IO is after. How well we think the game is doing quality wise only has an impact if it has an impact on that kind of graph.
New players. IOI is looking at short-term success with people who never knew how things were in the earlier and middle years of WoA, so they don’t know how… dissatisfying, the state of the game is right now. This is how it’s always been for them. Sales may continue to go up, but player satisfaction on the broader scale, I’m willing to bet that’s another story, and eventually, that anchor is gonna slow the momentum if it isn’t reeled in.
Yes, there are more people joining WOA (On steam at least), but that’s looking at it from the long-term where the more recent chart over the past few days shows a massive spike due to the Free Sapienza Edition Giveaway, and the numbers have been steadily dropping to normal figures pre-giveaway again, which is precisely what I said would happen. I’m sure the numbers will boost back up again once the IOI showcase goes live.
Seeing player numbers go up is only good if the audience retention is good; player numbers is one thing, but players staying inside your game for longer by being satisfied with the content being delivered is arguably more important, and has, in my opinion, been set to the wayside for a specific content structure that leads to a desert of content; I made a whole video about it. Player stats mean nothing if the quality of the game suffers, as those players will eventually cause a drop-off in the stats if IO does not work to satisfy players.
This time last year was when the Desert of Content started, and while I don’t think players have left, It has definitely irritated the ones who have stuck around.

Duck and coin (definite Casino Royale reference there) looks cool to me personally, and it looks like the duck will be available primarily from watching IOI’s showcase streams?
The other unlocks look like they’ll be the standard unlocks from watching anybody on Twitch with the HITMAN World of Assassination category.
Okay, huh. Well these are interestingly themed and unique colour variants instead of simple purple colour swaps.
I guess we can expect some major streamable event in Mid July and Mid August? Probably ET, but it’s interesting they have two Twitch drops, encouraging streamers to stream, a month apart.
Given the Casino Monarchique chip is for a whole month, it seems it’s a safe bet (get it? bet) that it’s coinciding with a Celeb ET!
Good for people who were wanting the Swimwear unlockable, and since it’s a changed name and appearance there isn’t any confusion like there was for the Super Fan/Plague Doctor suits! I’m very glad they kept the shirt for it the same instead of making it purple.

I’m a bit confused about the duck. I thought it would only be given for tuning in to IO’s broadcast on the 6th but they give a week of time? Are they gonna be streaming it over and over for people who miss it?
And I am wondering what such a boost in Twitch Drop frequency means going from seasonal drops to monthly ones. Hopefully it means there’s something more significant coming to the game on July 17 and August 14 to get people wanting to watch streamers play it, besides just single challenges.
That said, this is less of an issue as the suit it’s based off of has zero special access privileges anyway, and has a longer name, so it’s not the same issue as the PD or SF suits conversions in that regard either.
This is a suit conversion I’ve wanted, but it doesn’t look as ostentatious as the other ones; it’s literally an open-top and swimming trunks.
To be honest, I wish they had done this, as it looks a bit strange to my eyes. That purple they chose is quite…specific, and hard to find a complimentary colour for.
Oh I really like these assuming the chip works like a coin I might use that alot and happy they have a decent amount of time to get so I don’t have to try and leave a computer on during the stream while I’m asleep
Also since all 4 of these are for twitch I wonder what the TikTok ones they mentioned are maybe another streak suit with its logo colours?
So far I got all Twitch items unintentionally I think but redeemed none ingame because I could not be bothered. This purple looks good on a logo but not on anything else.

Interesting - we got Purple Swimwear Suit before actual SS as unlock. I hope it will be unlockable this summer, because I really prefer original variant.
