Summer Games Fest/ E3 2021 Thread

I really think you are. That has to be one of the best presentations at E3 to date, in terms of previewing upcoming games: over 30 quality games covering a completely diverse range of genres. And as part of the Xbox eco-system, it was a joy to listen to with 27 of those games being available day one on game pass.

[edit]This “trailer” from Obsidian was absolute class. I just love their sense of humour.

Why not? It wasn’t particularly amazing not to believe that those are the actual graphics. I’m more concern of the bugs in the game since it’s Beth and not graphics.

Same can be said about many games out there. Beyond Good and Evil 2 maybe? :stuck_out_tongue:

Dunno, I don’t watch these events for hype or anything and never have high expectations for anything unless I know for sure a certain game will be the main focus of an event, similar to how it was with Beth having their own presentation just for Fallout 4.

That would have to have been on the old forum, I remember that conversation.

I mean I have the Mad Max game.

Two words: Watch_Dogs. A reason why I don’t buy into E3 hype and the reason why I am slow to judge games and the reason I don’t let trailers inform my opinion on games.

There will be bugs, happens in every open world game. Can’t have a game that big and have it be 100 percent optimised, I hope Creation 2 doesn’t mean it will be a garbage fire like early Skyrim.

True, my expectations for Xbox were low after I saw that some of the games I was actually excited for weren’t going to be there. Maybe I will look the showcase again or look at an article on it and find my opinion has improved or maybe it won’t.

All I know is that it has kind of been a disappointing E3 all around (so far).

Still, I think nowadays tech and most importantly next gen consoles can support those kind of graphics but like you said, never hold your breath

First time and last time, speaking of Ubisoft I love how Far Cry 6’s gameplay trailer has completely soured me on the game.

Had a tiny bit of hope for Eidos Montreal’s new game to be Deus Ex :pensive:. I guess we can say goodbye to the series for the foreseeable future.

Wouldn’t hold my breath for a new Deus Ex with Square being the publisher

By the way, this happened a few days ago. If you want to find your fix of heartwarming, chill, wholesome games, there’s this new Wholesome Direct.

Alright, thanks!

As what Chicken said other things. I had to get a Official ID Star on my License because it’s gonna be mandated to travel when you use airplanes between states. Though it will be two years til we reach that point I’m just getting it out of the way.

Breath Of The Wild 2 in 2022 I can wait but I’m excited.

The only thing I like about the first one is this Ganon Pig Cloud thing around the Castle, its a cool visual and I love Pig Ganon.
This game isnt Zelda to me. Hope BotW2 features real dungeons and Bosses and ditches the stupid weapon durability.

aww so the leaks were fake (which i probably shouldve guessed since master chief seems a bit too far fetched for smash), but another fighting game character is kinda lame. but to each their own, im happy tekken got a rep

I’m pretty happy with the Switch Direct. Before it, the only Switch game (that had a solid release date) I was going to buy was the Pokemon Diamond remake. But now we’ve got a new 2D Metroid game, which I believe is being made by Mercury Steam, the guys who made Samus Returns for the 3DS. Wario Ware looks fun. Probably pick up the new Mario Party to play with friends. And since I’m currently head deep into Persona 5 Royal right now, I think there’s a good chance I’ll pick up SMTV at launch, even if I hear the SMT titles are far more difficult than the Persona games are.

So yeah, just happy to have stuff to look forward too on the Switch.

I’ve played Tekken 1-3 occasionally at a friends house back in the day and it was okay.
I’m not a huge fan of 3D fighting Games in general.
I like Streetfighter 2 and the new Mortal Kombat games best, idk, SF2 simply is near perfection and the Mortal Kombat lured me in as a Kid with the ultra violence, still love that, but its the surprisingly deep lore this Franchise has that keeps me hooked.
