What do you have in mind? A defense of the safehouse in some way would mean that some hostile party has effectively discovered my Batcave, and I don’t want anyone to know about my Batcave.
Could be like an intro mission to the house where there’s a target he has to take out in the house before he takes it for himself. I realise by that logic, he’d probably have to kill everyone in the level for it to make any sort of sense but ah whatever, it would be fun.
If anything, I’d like to see a mission in Safehouse inspired by Redemption at Gontranno with house being filled with guards and 47 starting in forest without equipment while stealthly making his way to the basement, collecting weapons in there and going ham on everyone.
I know it would go against idea of a “SAFEhouse” but it would be fun and that’s most important.
47 waking up somewhere in the forest, only dressed in loincloth. He has to craft weapons out of woods and stones. He must withstand the challenges of nature and build his safe house. The house you see in the video is the end result.

I’d also like to walk around the house first, get a lay of the land. In a strange obscure way, it might be fun to have a mostly empty house for a while, no frills.
I wonder what a maxed out basement will look like. Can’t wait to find out!

I’m speculating the second but I’ve seen the other two about, what do you think will happen?
They could always have you exit the level and instead of showing 47 walking out of the level it cuts to 47 waking up from his sleep still very safe in his house. It was just a dream.
I have seen lots of people suggest 47 should have phone calls or visits from friends like Smith or Diana. I really hope this happens. It would be so funny. Obviously the phone calls would be easier, we don’t even have to hear both ends of it. I’d love to know if he still talks to Father Vittorio or Victoria and Tom the Taylor and Mei Ling.
“Tom I’ll be in town next Thursday. Would you like to meet for dinner? Ok perfect. I’ll meet you at the usual spot… actually let’s meet at the secondary spot. See you then.”
Will the house also be a mission in campaign mode? Outside of freelancer?

If you mean “available” as in where you can walk to – I think you’ll be able to go anywhere. The ‘unlock’-ing aspect could refer to what you can place decorative items in. I dunno… Because it doesn’t make sense to me that you couldn’t go upstairs or out on either of the balconies. In fact, I imagine there’ll be a cutscene where you walk onto the property, up to the front/main door… Like the “porch” or whatever, and you could either go inside or walk around on the property.
Unless there are large shipping crates blocking areas of the house.
I, again, refer to the 7DS escalations. Wrath had you defend the mansion. There are plenty of other things that seem to borrow from the 7DS themes, so why not Wrath?
Do I like the idea of having to defend the safehouse?.. Not really. It seems like it would be a make-or-break scenario, like if you failed a showdown when everyone was panicked and you have to “start from scratch” if you died during an invasion.
I’ll probably won’t be doing anything. My playstyle is to not overthink stuff. Never bothered to pick out different suits, always just the regular/default stuff. After all it’s a Hitman-game for me. Not a dress-up-game. Same with the house. If it doesn’t have any benefits I’ll leave it the way it is at the beginning.
So you’re the one who plays Sapeinza and never wonders “why isn’t there a decent bed in the safe house?”
The security camera’s in the basement are pretty interesting. I don’t know if IO will do it but they’ve been flirting a lot with the “Hitman games end with a bloodbath” theme with having H3 end on a train surrounded by guards and soldiers and having 7DS end with you killing a bunch of dudes in Wrath.
The main thing I am hoping for, but not holding my breath, is that the location maps have different times of day and possibly weather. It would be cool if you go to whittleton creek and sometimes it’s dusk, or maybe it’s day but overcast like Dartmoor, or maybe it’s night and raining. Based on what’s been done with mods, I know it’s possible and it would help with the randomized part of the game.
I don’t think they will go in a take all the stuff out of levels that might tie them to the game missions, like the class being in bangkok, but a different time of day would make it feel nice and unique from the story missions.
You can even have 47 get plastic surgery so his face matches his feminine hands!!!
