I want snow in the garden, to finally make use of the winter clothes.
There is one thing I haven’t seen a lot of people talking about : there are challenges specific to missions type.
In the trailer the territory takedown score screens arrive with 121 challenges, both Sapienza and Dubai (there even is a chronological progression between them)
I will expect some suits to be unlocked through mastery (especially the more iconic), but some others through missions challenges. So Takedown would be one. I expect Showdown to have its own list. Maybe the shooting range will also have its own challenges.
I’m thinking its more likely that the 121 challenges are just for Freelancer has a whole, rather than separate ones for Territory Takedown and Showdown missions. That way they’re all linked to the single Freelancer Mastery track instead of having their own separate tracks.
During the video when they’re opening the supply crate within the safehouse, the challenge “Feeling Lucky?” appears, and I can’t imagine that there would be that many challenges for the safehouse itself to justify making its own list without it looking stupidly empty.
Ahh hahaha, I was secretly hoping you’d do this. But you’ve gone above and beyond with your Ken 47!
As I recall, there is a sleeping bag. A previous owner must have taken some furniture with them, and surely 47 is not someone who needs a comfy bed to sleep on.
I like to think this is what happens when 47 gets too practical on everything:
I want to say yes, since they didn’t reveal how suits can be unlocked other than slightly hinting at Mastery in the same sentence with the “upper floors” thing, but there are over 60 suits in the game, if you don’t count Deluxe and 7DS dlcs that will probably stay exclusive to those who bought them for the Base Game.
Unless they give out suits in a bunch, I have a hard time believing that over 60% of Freelancer’s 100 Mastery Track will be exclusively to re-acquire suits we’ve already unlocked over the last 6 years, on top of most likely some new ones.
I mean, this was 47 home the last time he chose to retire from the ICA.
It has a mattress, a trapdoor, and a closet. And that’s it.
And who could forget the pristine if sober luxury of Blood Money hideout :
There’s even a rug !
Silvio can be seen in Sapienza so targets are likely untouched as well as the environment
More like “in a deeply committed relationship” with the concept, I think effectively every Hitman game has ended like this. Codename 47 had Meet Your Brother, Silent Assassin had Redemption at Gontranno, with contracts Hunter Hunted heavily implied using combat in the level, Blood Money had Requiem, Absolution had the praetorians, and this trilogy had Untouchable.
Isn’t this right next to Alexa’s Gravestone though?? Looks like chairs were leftover from what would have been her actual funeral.
They’re changing stuff. Small stuff, it seems for now, but this is new. Maybe Silvio being there was just a mistake they hadn’t fixed yet? Old footage?
EDIT: Someone please point out Silvio to me, I can’t find him, keep missing him in footage it seems. I noticed those chairs right away though.
I’m sure re-texturing a whole map would be time-consuming, but less than making an actual full map! If I can’t have a snowy new map, please, please, I hope we can get variations on Time of Day/Weather in locations…
As I just posted in the Freelancer main topic, I just want to know if they at least removed Zachary’s body. If it’s the main mission map, with no change outside of freelancer NPCs and their necessary nods and interactible props (the magazine for the suspected target by example), then I will be genuinely disappointed.
Especially after the DGS and the 7DS showed.
True I forgot about that part of the video! Well we’ll see anyway, I’m also hoping for some changes but I can’t expect too much, I know how much work it’d be to do that for all of the available maps and they have more important things to focus on
I like to think that 47 has decided to expand on his own personality and with this his own enviroment as the games go on.
The main thing is how we get specific outfits that fit better each location, so why not reflect this on a house. Also 47 is said to have many safehouses around the world so maybe some are derilic and totally basic, other of luxury.

It’s an interesting thought, but I don’t think IO would have the time or budget to make anything else other than full-focus on the Massive safehouse weve been shown so far.
On another note, I’m starting to believe more and more that the F Cabin we saw at the end of the main game might acutally have a chance at being the proto-safehouse of the one we see in Freelancer?
In one of the quick travel sequences shown, 47 is seen travelling in a snowy environment with lots of pine-ish, cedar-ish trees. Could be near his safehouse, travelling to/from the area?
I thought the cabin would be in a perpetually-snowy Mountain range area, but it might not!
The codename for Freelancer was Evergreen (a type of tree) in the files IIRC, of which those same trees seen in promo images are shown (looks like a type of cedar tree to me).
Don’t underestimate how much a quality nights sleep plays into your performance the next day. You want 47 going on an impossible mission with a sore neck and not enough winks?
I mentioned the safehouses part since it’s logical to think a man with so much money for properties would have variety in what he uses depending on the place.
I wonder if we’ll get more background on this particular safehouse. It was already ownder by 47 or was obtained for the purposes starting anwe after a year of what happened at H3’s epilogue. I think is the latter.
Ok so I have had a thought on some fun ideas for decorations. The world of assassination has basically become a giant shopping spree.
These are novelty items I probably wouldn’t go for, but I am sure other players would enjoy:
-
Dawood Tower theme. Those funky paintings and purple tiger rugs
-
The creepy Hawkes bay paintings
-
Dartmoor furniture
-
Isle of Sgail Artifacts
-
Janus painting, Singing fish
-
Dubai decor
-
Colombia Mansion items
To be honest anything goes, they have the world asset library. Some trophies from each map might be a nice nod tho
I don’t know about any of you, but my safehouse will be just a chair. And I’ll sit in it until my next contract. And I’ll continuously say to myself “waiting…. For what?”
The man gets it.
All this talk about safehouse customization has me realizing that the next entry into the franchise desperately needs a map creator or customizer. I can only imagine the kind of things players would do with it.
