The Season of Eminem VS Slim Shady (Winter Roadmap)

I’m assuming a Year 6 section for Elusive Targets will be added very soon to the game.

@IOI_Artjoms might be able to confirm for definite? :slightly_smiling_face:

We’re still in Year 5. H3 released January 20th 2021, so we’re at the very end of the fifth year of live content post-launch before we move into Year 6.

I assume thats the logic here. After all, Freelancer launched in Year 2 despite launching in January 2023.

If I recall correctly, Freelancer actually launched a few days after Jan 20 2023, even though it was still part of the roadmap for that period of time, so it launched in Year 3 even though it was in the holdover map of year 2. If I’m remembering correctly. It was a point of annoyance for me at the time.

I think IO probably just consider February 1st to be “WoA New Year”. Since February would’ve probably been when the first live content started up for H3 (without looking anything up).

Yes. I can confirm we are working on a Y6 section atm and will update soon-ish. :stuck_out_tongue:

This is somehow still faster than any server change we’ve had to wait for previously sans yesterday’s one hour fix.

Doing gods work artjom

imo, putting this in Year 6 feels wrong. Especially when “The Serial Killer - Year 5” hasn’t even gone live yet (happens next week). Seems to clearly set the stage that Year 5 hasn’t ended yet.

Unless “The Serial Killer - Year 5” also goes into Year 6 (which would be weird), I don’t think we should be one foot in one year with the other in another.

I also considered both myself and this “Splitter” to fall under the fifth-year category.
Looking at the annual divisions for ET over the past five years, I agree that January 20th, the release date of HITMAN 3, served as the cutoff point.
While there’s no precedent for an ET spanning the long period from January to February, considering that point, since this Splitter’s release started on 1/5, if we include it, it feels more appropriate and consistent with past years to revert the title to “Splitter (2025)” and count it as part of the fifth year.

I don’t know if it’s too late to ask this, but please, change the order of Elusive targets. For three years in a row we’ve had the exact same ETs in the exact same order (with some exeptions). There’s a lot of H1 ETs that haven’t been live in a long time or that have never been live at all. For H2 and 3 ETs it’s a little harder because there are fewer of them, but at least try switching up the order to make them feel less repetive.

They should call it “The Serial Killer - Year 6”

I also noticed that due to the fact that it never ran earlier in the year, it’s the only Elusive Target in this Elusive Target Galore sequence that I can actually play. Every other one is just “previously completed” so I’ll have to try to remember to do it.

IOI uploaded a 25th anniversary video a short while ago today, but the most interesting part of it was a very very brief peak of Co-op appeared in split-screen multiplayer. What is also interesting is that it that it’s in Freelancer, and also features Stone and 47, instead of Knight. Stone also is wearing his cut Miami outfit from the original co-op plans from Hitman 2:

You beat me to posting about this! We have a new thread for co-op info now too.

Imagine if Stone and Knight function like outfits that can be equipped. You could play the game, including Freelancer, as alternate agents.

How can they just casually drop this?
-Buy our anniversary box. Oh yeah, we have a working co-op in Freelancer btw. Anyway, buy our anniversary box!

My guess is that it’s Stone and 47 instead of Stone and Knight, because it’s easier to adapt the existing disguises to another male model than to make entirely new models for Knight (and it’s pretty likely Knight won’t be playable in the final version).
