Might just be me but this has been terrible so far.
Fuck yeah. RE 2 and 3 classic comes to PS5. Awesome.
Here’s hoping RE2 and RE3 become available to buy sooner than the original RE1 Director’s Cut, which was PS+ exclusive for a couple years.
I think it was OK. But reading some comments, yeah, it was almost entirely games by third parties. You’d think a State of Play would be for Sony to show off why you should buy a Playstation, rather than just a third party showcase. Feels like they could really use some more original games being made.
I quite enjoyed that State of Play! It was one of the much longer ones in a while!
Statted it off with Lumines Arise, the Enhance team’s original puzzle game with some Tetris Effect flair, and HELL YEAH, that’s a great. Also cool to see VR2 support.
Also also yay. A demo later!
Extended look at Silent Hill F that I’ve seen quite a few fans anticipating. (Nope not for me damn its spooky)
Surprises like more Astro Bot Levels for free (though I wish they’d dedicate into a full expansion) or the 007 reveal.
Day-one releases to PS+ Extra like Sword of the Sea (Journey + Abzu dev sequel??? Looks great!)
That Story-centric multiplayer-driven game sounds like a weird but cool concept, if it works out. Hope to see more of that sometime.
I think quite a few trailers being english dubs of japanese anime games was a bit off-putting. (They all follow a very similar format of cramming in as much voice-over or generic combat call-outs in a game/scene montage it’s overwhelming and a bit cringy IMO)
Cairn looks cool, glad there’s a demo out for that. Climbing zen game, nice.
Oh yeah and a new Thief entry in who knows how long, this time for VR folks, aw well. But yay, another stealth VR title, cool!
Weird we only got an announcement of an announcement for Ghost of Yotei getting a gameplay stream in July. Well I’m excited to see that!
I have the PS5 Pro, and there is a huge difference across the board for games that are “PS5 Pro Enhanced.”
Geez. Well that sucks. Really, really sucks!
No explanation for it either? Dev issues, financial cost, nothing? Damn, shady Meta.
I’m really surprised they’re dropping BOTH PS4 and PS5. I would have expected just the former since the PSVR 1 is quite old and keeping support for that device compared to other modern platforms is probably difficult. But both? Beat Saber is always in the best-selling category for PSVR2, which has a large, dedicated, and still growing player-base.
Ugh, this is sad.
Well hopefully maybe this means it’ll get put on sale at some point if they’re dropping support? Because clearly they haven’t had any reason to do so in 7 years because of how good it sells.
also LMAO “we’re so grateful for your support and are excited to share what the future holds… but not anymore for you PS players hahaha byyyyye!”
Go buy Synth Riders its also very fun, goes on sale regularly, and has tons of free tracks and ongoing support
I am still on PS4, which uses less power. So I did something, dear Sony.
Yeah I’m also on PS4. For me it’s just not worth getting PS5 for now. Maybe if Resident Evil 9/Nioh 3 or any other game I’m looking forward to lauches PS5 exclusive, I’ll get it.
something something climate change isn’t real it’s just a PlayStation 5 game
