Things About Hitman You Just Found Out

Not from the game such as NPCs talking. But to find it you’ll need to look around near a news(?) camera that’s on a tripod.

Ah. I don’t know, but I’m going to guess… Follow a certain NPC around, he’s in a brown suit. In H1, you can subdue him and pick up a sedative syringe. But not in H2 or 3. Abiatti talks to him and apparently, he’s a doctor.

Why? He’s probably the most notable NPC in that general area. But… I could be completely wrong, and maybe IO just thinks players will eventually come upon it by accident. I’ll definitely check next time I play.

Edit: Nope. Not the Doctor. This guy. He’s looking around on the ground.

As far as I know, he doesn’t have any scripted dialogue (saying he can’t find his keys). Perhaps it just depends on the player being observant as to what the NPCs are doing.

The Ingram’s Bodyguard disguise can also legally carry a sniper rifle.

(At least, The Golden Dragon one, anyway.)

Silvio Caruso, Reza Zaydan, Ken Morgan, Yuki Yamazaki, Robert Knox, Nolan Cassidy, Sophia Washington and Don Archibald Yates are the only targets who you can poison with food rather than with drink.

EDIT: And Jordan Cross, Janus, Ljudmila Vetrova and Carl Ingram.

EDIT 2: And Lowenthal.

In addition to them:

  • Jordan Cross by poisoning his birthday cake. He eventually tastes it.

  • Janus can also be killed with poisoned food. 47 must bring a muffin. He puts it on a plate located in Janus’ kitchen. Finally, he adds some poison to the muffin. Janus is gonna eat it.

  • Ljudmila Vetrova. 47 must prepare her plate in the kitchen. He can next poison it. The chef is gonna call Vetrova and she’ll come to taste it.

  • Carl Ingram by ringing him after poisoning the plate.

One more, Agent Lowenthal.

Clias Nietzke has two VA’s. In earlier versions (and clearly beta), he is voiced by Dave Hill, while in final version, he’s voiced by Gavin Hammon. Hill was actually trying to immitate russian voice, while Hammon is using normal voice as for normal bodyguards.

I’ve had the chef to die one time after poisoning the food. Although, I probably should’ve KO’ed him and stashed his body… I’m assuming he noticed it was ready, then tasted it. :man_shrugging:

Didn’t know that. When I do this kill, I generally neutralize one chef by attracting him with the ice maker. I take his clothes, prepare the meal and let the other chef admires my work and calls Vetrova.

The original voice was originally in H1 at launch, but one of the patches (not sure which one) introduced the change. From memory, IO gave the reason to make it consistent with the rest of the game as it was one of the few characters with the correct accent.

Even to this day it doesn’t really make that much sense, but meh. :man_shrugging:t2:

The “Time Bonus” is worth more if you fulfill “Objectives Completed”.

So much so, in fact, that a player that took almost an hour to achieve only 3 Stars (with 20,000 for the completed Objectives):

Gets enough of a Time Bonus (roughly 6x more!) to outscore a player who took less than 10 minutes to get a 4 Star Silent Assassin:

NOTE: players and scores are used solely to reflect the best examples of the phenomenon on this particular leaderboard

Huh. I thought time bonus was worth more depending on the amount of stars/criteria you got (no spotted, no noticed kills, no recordings etc)

But it all depends on Objectives then? Interesting…

It might have a little to do with the criteria you fulfill or don’t fulfill but it definitely seems to be weighted far more heavily towards whether or not the objectives are completed

Some small nipplets I’ve found recently:
I’ve complained a few months ago about one specific bottle of wine being unpickable, unless you shoot the vase next to it. I’ve recenlty headed to Mendoza and found it this issue has been fixed!

You can put Meaty Bone on a plate, like muffin or apple, but it will turn itself into muffin for some reason. I guess it’s a placeholder until IO comes with some decent replacement.

Try it with the fish (melee item).

And if you put a fish in it (by bringing in one in your loadout) it will transform into a shusi !

In a puff of smoke.

After getting into a sticky situation in a contract in the bank, I simultaneously discovered that the large pane of glass is breakable but the smaller panes above are bulletproof (note the bullet impacts):

Then, while clearing Kalvin Ritter’s “yacht” on the search for a mad gunman, the absence of NPCs (not to mention actually exploring the level) revealed a “swimming pool”:

Sometimes, Frank the security guard will lean on the balcony railing at the worst possible moment and get crushed when Savalas falls through. I had to throw my briefcase (containing the data core) here to distract and save him.

A good bit of detail. He’s the guy on his last day right? Kinda reminds me of absolution and guard you can pull out of a window directly after he learns he doesn’t have cancer.
