Things About Hitman You Just Found Out

you’d think that, but he never gets in the way for me. Back when i played hitman for atleast an hour a day each day I’d play mumbai about 3 times and 2 outta 3 times i blew him up in this scooter explosion. Never got a failed sa out of it. It’s a very consistent, very easy and very fun way to get wazir outta the way first

I can’t remember when or how I found him (I think I made some boo boos and was fleeing from the law when I ran into his apartment?) but he was a revelation and I’ve never looked back!

While trying to find some NPCs with interesting routes I discovered this: There are two custodians in this room, Michelle Price and Glen B. Rouillard

They will be in here forever. Except when you enter this area:

As soon as you trigger this dialogue, Murray L. Haas will go talk to Jade Atkins (nearby)

They leave the area and split up. Jade Atkins will first go here (only for a short time):

After this she’ll walk over here and stay there (smoking):

In the meantime Murray L. Haas will go into the small room where Michelle Price and Glen B. Rouillard are (Michelle leaves and Glen doesn’t move a bit). Murray will take the place of Michelle and stands there. He won’t move again:

Michelle on the other hand goes outside and has a quick chat with another custodian outside the room:

After this chat she joins Jade Atkins:

Don’t know yet how to use this for an interesting contract. Maybe some explosion accident with Jade and Michelle? You would have to trigger the dialogue to get them near the propane tank…

Dang, thanks for that detailed explanation. I don’t think I have the attention span to study what events trigger specific NPC movements, so whenever someone discovers something super specific like this, it’s really fascinating to me

Tried this and it actually works, brilliant. Never had any idea about this because I didn’t know where he spawns. The holy man might be in a way but he can be distracted with a bullet before Maelstrom goes next to the scooter.

There’s so much of a staff hierarchy in Dubai, Event Staff bow to Penthouse Staff:

Also, if you accidentally grab the golf club while you’re trying to plant the explosive golf ball, Ingram is so enraged by all the noise, he just manifests another one out of spite:

Today I saw a video about the RFID coin which revealed (among other things) that the game, for some reason, basically views the coin as if it is Agent 47.

What this means is that it can be used as a stand in for 47 for proximity triggered events, and even to exit the level if it’s a no-prompt exit (like the bridge at Dartmoor).

I confirmed this on one of my most hated proximity triggers, the conversation between Sophia Washington and the Constant in Sgail. I placed the RFID-coin in the bathroom just behind where they talk and then set up at a faraway sniper spot. It works.

In the example video they use it to poison Don in Mendoza. For some reason Don only drinks from the wine glass on the villa balcony if you’re near to observe it, otherwise his wife does… but with an RFID-coin nearby…

Since a lot of proximity triggered events are static I suppose this will mostly be usable to be able to buy you 1 second or so in speedruns, by throwing the coin instead of running up to the spot…

Here’s the video:

Is this considered well known?

Hmmm, note to self: leave the RFID-coin near the Black Hat so that he’ll eat from the goddamned poison jam jar!

If it’s proximity triggered… it should work.

Experimented a bit on the bridge exit in Dartmoor, but it requires that 47 moves across the finishline, so to speak, so you either need to snipe the coin over the line (demoed in the video), or possibly place a breaching charge nearby to send it over (though maybe nearby NPCs will see a breaching charge… I dunno).

I also wonder if an NPC can be made to be a “stand in” for 47 by making them pick the coin up.
Added by Edit: You can, it’s shown in the end of the video.

A minor thing. Just found out there’s emetic rat poison very well hidden in the snowmobile garage in Hokkaido. It’s opposite the organ doctor and guard who talk to one another, in the right hand corner hidden behind a crate. Crafty bastards, been getting my rat poison from the kitchen for 6 goddamn years.

Thank you!
I knew i wasn’t going crazy.
In a recent playthrough of Hokkaido i was looking everywhere for rat poison & could have sworn I’d found some there in (2016) but for the life of me i couldn’t find it this time.

Also a recent discovery but there’s some in the cabinet in 47’s bathroom.

Oh yeah the cabinet! Forgot about that. I never bring the lockpick for Hokkaido haha

Yeah, there’s no reason to bring a lockpick to the map. Most doors are slide doors and electronically locked. And since H2, you can unlock those cabinets with a crowbar anyway.

There are actually 3. One in kitchen, on in garage, and one (along with 2 coins) in 47’s cabinet. On that note, there is no legal way to open cabinets in Hokkaido - you have to use lockpick or crowbar.

I could swear that there’s an NPC who drops a key to at least the cabinet on the top floor where all the doctors’ offices are.

I made sure the guard that checks around the bush got the coin and placed a micro-remote explosive on the bridge. When ready, detonate the explosive, then the guard will go to check the spot and 47 exits from within the mansion.

This was posted about somewhere else…

Here.

Ah very cool. I must’ve missed when it was posted the first time around. Though maybe I just ignored it because it didn’t contain “triggers proximity based events” which is what really caught my eye with this.

Was there ever a manhole exit behind the pizza delivery boy in Berlin? Or did I dream that?

There was, but the exit was bugged somehow iirc
