Succession Spoiler Alert: very few lessons are learned.
Kendall is still alive and that baffles me frankly. Too many reasons for too many people to get rid of him.
On the one hand, Alien: Earth is a stupid name.
On the other hand, Timothy Olyphant is in the cast (as an android) and it’s created by Noah Hawley, so at the very least it’ll be interesting.
Wow that SURE IS a teaser…! Have they even like, filmed anything yet??
But yeah I’ve heard the showrunner for this is the same guy who did FX’s Legion, which I have yet to see but I see it bounced around a lot as a really good psychological thriller - often regarded in the same vein as Mr. Robot.
Actually (), shooting wrapped in mid July.
And Hawley also does Fargo, which is a million times better. (Never could get into Legion. )
I’m hyped for this. Which is probably a bad thing. This feels like one of those shows that can collapse on itself. As a long time Dexter fan, i really hope it’s as good as it looks.
In fairness, I thought it was a bad idea when it was first announced. Seeing it now, I’ll admit it has potential. It’s gonna be limited potential, though; this series can’t be any longer than 3 seasons, tops. Enough of Dexter’s backstory on how he became what he is was covered in the original series that there’s only about two dozen kills, max, that could be shown without breaking continuity.
Also, where’s young Doakes?!
A picture has been circling around of Some Fries Motherfucker and the new guy
I reckon it’s going to be a subplot exploring Doakes’ war journey. This takes place in 1991 and he joins Miami Metro PD later than that (iirc.) Or maybe they’re gonna reconsider some aspects and have this an a definitive past?
