Unpopular opinions about Hitman

I also dislike other start locations, so its a bummer that Hitman 3 forces you to do certain things if you start from the default

I tend to never use disguise starting locations in proper runs I do of main missions. But they’re a key part of contracts mode and it would be significantly worse without them. So I quite like them for that

I appreciate it more in contracts mode but would still be fine without it.

I would be really okay with its existence if we could mark starting locations in contracts like forced exits. You’re not cheating your way to the top of my leaderboard by using the OP disguise.

I know a suit only kill nullifies that but I also don’t want to force a suit kill into things

Ah Berlin.

Do you want restricted load out and a long run to the actual location, a normal load out with a long (but less long) run to the actual location, or be right where you want to be but with no choice in suit and no pistol brought in.

And that’s ignoring the Chongqing train fiasco

Which already was like the H1 one. :sob:

I mean he has a prosthetic hand because he lost one. I don’t see why they need to be a reason for it.

I honestly don’t mind this one, because otherwise you had to subdue Phineas everytime and most People would problably have a Save anyway, where they just became him.

I’m fine with starting locations and the fitting disguises. What I don’t like in H3 is that they force us with the default start and the default suit, like in Berlin. I’d like to start at the gas station in a different suit than number six, but I can’t and that’s what I really don’t like.

Only Dartmoor’s default starting point enforces nothing. Lol

The Mendoza one doesn’t really either, you can just run past Diana without talking and it’ll just move on to the proper mission objectives

It enforces the suit too I think and you can’t kill Tamara before the objectives list appears

Touché, it does still enforce the tux

You can. I doubt SA but you still can

Wouldn’t have expected that from you :open_mouth:

Yes and my reason for it is incredible stupid and silly. I only go for the other options once, to unlock the challenge. But I greatly dislike it due to it not being part of the originals.

Personally half the fun is infiltrating and getting away with taking out a target. Removing the infiltration by starting inside with a disguise robs me some of the enjoyment.

It’s Grey’s coat and it fits him better than 47

(Is that another unpopular opinion?)

Idk, but I think it fits 47 quite well… if I were to play as him again and not an NPC xD

I don’t mind disguise starting points but I wish some of them were not that overpowered. (Pretty much every guard starting point).

And also I would have loved some implied backstory behind these starts. If you are stuff member, kitchen assistant or something along these lines, this means 47 somehow got this job at the place; if you are part of some company, crew, or gang, 47 somehow gained their trust and so on. Yes I acknowledge some problems involving these explanations, but this is a lot better than “Actually, 47 somehow infiltrated the place from the same default suit starting point, somehow got the waiter disguise, started polishing this table because why not and decided it’s time to move on at some random point when the player takes control of him”.

Yeah but it’s not just a prosthetic hand, it’s a freaking robot claw.

It’s a subtle tweak but if they’d just tied it into BM somehow, like this is what it cost him to evade the Franchise and he blames Diana for it which leads him to go to far in his quest for revenge when she burns the ICA. Instead we get Dr. Claw meets Newly Divorced Middle Manager for no reason.

This would explain so much about Travis…

The reason he has a prosthetic hand was one of the remnants of the 500 ideas IO had for the story of this PoS game. It was said to be because Travis lost it due to 47 hence why he has this absurd hate boner for him.
