But but but, Ubi… the 30% cut?!
Came across this on Reddit. It´s a bit long and all over the place at times, but the insights from the staff are interesting.
I’ve seen that guy’s videos before, and he seems to be just whining about Ubisoft trying to be woke for putting in a playable black character when you read between the lines and listen carefully to his choice of language.
Yeah, that’s why I mentioned it’s all over the place at times and pointed to the devs’ comments as the main thing of interest. While I can certainly get behind some of the rambling he does (specifically regarding Ubisoft’s tendency to play things safe and justify their decision-making based on what the so-called “modern audience” supposedly wants and will produce sales), the general choice of language is often questionable to say the least.
If that’s really the case, then that can only be described as a colossal fuck-up.
A live-stream of new details and it looks like behind-the-scenes glimpses at Death Stranding 2 is happening right now.
It’s all in Japanese though, no live translation!
(The description mentioned they’ll add other languages in the VOD afterwards)
Its cool, at least when I get visual context!
One of the best things about recent Sonic game releases has been the release of animations to tie-in to the new games. With the upcoming re-release of Sonic Generations and the new Shadow stuff being added it, not to mention Shadow being in the third Sonic movie, Sega has dubbed this “the year of Shadow”. As part of this they’re doing a three part animation focusing on Shadow, with this first part serving as a big amalgamation on Shadow’s backstory, as time schenagigans ensue to basically explain why Shadow will be reliving levels from his past in Generations.
The big thing here is how this was written by Ian Flynn, who seems to of really gotten to take charge as a head writer with Sonic Team. After Frontiers especially, it’s nice that the writing in Sonic games isn’t afraid to be serious anymore, and actually try to be cool. And good god, I love this short. I guess you can always mock it for its sincerity, but then Sonic spent a good decade trying to be light hearted and comedic and shake off any attempts at sincerity in an attempt to appeal to everyone, and that never worked. No point when so many will never give the franchise a chance regardless. So let the series do its own thing, gets to thrive in its own lore.
I mean good lord, acknowledging the Gizoid plot from Sonic Battle and Advance 3? Having the plot of the Shadow video game be relevant and a key point in his character growth, and not something that is to be ignored due to how much embarrasment it caused? I love this confidence, and combined with a great animation and OST, this is the kind of thing that makes me remember why I fell in love with this franchise.
I’d like to add Peter will be playable during the post launch support of BO6
You can now, apparently, pre-order the PS5 digital upgrade for Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered!
Strange, I’ve never thought that was officially possible.
(The only time I’ve ever done it was in the last 2 minutes before TLOU2 Remastered came out, where the “disc upgrade” price suddenly appeared, and I purchased it, but it counted as a pre-order because it was juuust early enough in their system.)
