Huh I only saw the banner image and totally dismissed it as something else. But it looks very fancy.
Put it on my Steam wishlist and saw it is by the developer of the Wasteland games. These are great but this is quite a step up in quality.

I do have a bit of worry for FBC Firebreak coming out soon. It looks fun but I hope it doesnāt get stale fast since there seems to only be 5 job types. Hopefully thereās enough to change up each session, like room layout or objectives.
However this video is restoring my hype, cause if Lore Nerd for AW Monty Zander can get excited for this, then maybe I can too! (apparently FBCFb has very little in terms of extra series lore, but thatās not an issue, cause its fun!)
also WOOOO Iām VERY excited for Death Stranding 2, out in a week and a half!
More package delivery and weird sci-fi fun!
Aite letās do this again and make it HMF Official.
Death Stranding?
I also never really liked Metal Gear. Maybe Kojima should just make real movies, instead of Movies that get interrupted with 15min of gameplay then and now.
I also just donāt like Kojima himself, i canāt point out what it is about him that rubs me the wrong way but when I look at him, i get the feeling that he might be a little full of himself. I have 0 proof of it, and probably do him very wrong, maybe he is the nicest guy on earth but i donāt like him ![]()
Death Stranding was a game I really wanted to like. I enjoyed the core concept and just wandering around in the rain. What I did not particularly enjoy was having to watch a feature length film before getting to that gameplay, some of the questionably kooky writing (I think Kojima is a visionary but really needs a āNo Manā for some ideas, like a George Lucas), and perhaps most grating of all the product placement - Norman Reedusā motorbike show advertised on his in-game characterās shower, really?
Speaking of Death Stranding, sequel is out soon! Reviews are coming out now!
PSA: According to some unfortunate fans, Do Not look at the IGN Review of DS2 since it apparently spoils a seemingly major element of the game/story thatās been kept under wraps for a while.
Never played it so I canāt comment.
Never stopped me beforeā¦
I thought Death Stranding was great, but I donāt think it was quite a masterpiece. Honestly though, with Kojima, Iām honestly happy for him that he gets to be this unique voice in the triple A gaming space. How many triple A titles feel like they have the voice of a single creative, rather than going through all the various corporate sanitizing, focus test groups, etc etc. I didnāt love all of Death Stranding, I think there are bits that annoy me, and I donāt think the plot is flawless. But Iām happy for Kojima to do his own weird thing since itās at least always interesting and different.
100% agree.
Well except for the part about the game itself.
So like 95% agree.
Art requires artists.
Kojimaās gonna hate me for saying Masterpiece but yeah I think itās pretty masterpiece worthy.
Masterpiece of Weird. Of timely narrative importance. Of incredibly, stupidly prevalent connections in mechanics, dialogue, narrative, etc. (So many elements revolves around Connection, Life/Death, Human Contact, its absurd.) Thereās nothing else like it.
And yet, you havenāt rated the game. ![]()
Donāt care about it. But, if it was one that I did, not having played it before wouldnāt stop me from commenting on it.
Death Stranding is a compelling game with a fun gameplay loop, but the early games is really what turns people away from it.
Iām not a blind defender of Death Stranding, but the concept really works well when you start familiarizing yourself with its approach to the social features and just getting access to vehicles.
The most compelling part of the game is its story and its characters with some great performances all around.
Kojima games are a very acquired taste all things considered. Theyāre layered, often complex and in most places contrived, but he brings a specific level of quality that you only see with movies. Kojima all things considered made interactive films with his games and the offerings he brings you canāt really get anywhere else with only studios like Remedy somewhat being in the same playing field.
