I had some leftover béarnais, so I thought why not use it as a burger sauce.

Cheddar, red onion, sweet mustard, iceberg, pickles, smash patty and béarnais. Tasted wonderful.

I figured I’d post this. It’s more of a recipe than what I’m currently eating.

The seafood restaurant Capt. D’s used to have a dipping sauce… I can’t remember if it had the name of it on the small container, but apparently, it does have a name.

Jezebel Sauce.

To make it - you’ll need 2 parts pineapple preserves, 1 part natural horse radish (don’t use the saucy kind that’s the consistency of mayonnaise), and 1 part yellow mustard.

I had to buy the pineapple preserves from Amazon and got some horse radish too.

I would get this with the chicken strips they’d sell at Capt. D’s. It’s been decades since I’ve had it. The only thing I’d change about it is that it seems like it needs more of a fruity tang of the pineapple that the (Smucker’s) preserves don’t have. But it is VERY close!

I suppose it could go well with shrimp too.

Note: They have a Honey Mustard, but this is different.

Who says I couldn’t be a house husband? We ran out of lemon marmalade so I had to go half and half with grape jelly.

Will come back there for more, and hopefully more picture worthy dishes

Korean people eat soups on hot days, it is purported to restore the body’s metaphysical ki. In reality the soups are replacing fluid lost sweating and the ingredients are high in chemicals that give the body energy.

Hot for hot, cold for cold. The Bedouins drink hot tea when it’s hot out for the same reasons and they claim it cools your body by making you feel cool compared to the hotness in your tummy. They have like thousands of years of experience so when we were climbing Petra we took a mid day break and had hot tea. Not sure it worked but it didn’t make us feel hotter either.

Yesterday popped into Burger King for the first time ever.
I know all this fast food is a poison, but still it’s tasty.
This meal was not an exception

Celebrating the dad’s birthday, we went to a Steak Frites restaurant, where they only sell Steak Frites

It was a great meal. Decently juicy meat and loads of frites.

The knives were pretty cool. Looked like they were modified switch-blades.

Great time had by all, and we drove home listening to Haddaway’s What is Love :+1:

I cooked some vegan casserole today with Maultaschen and lots of vegetables :relaxed: I had everything in my fridge and improvised, because it’s the end of the month and I need to save money
