Yesterday I had beef stew in a sourdough bread bowl at the San Francisco aeroport. It was 100 times better than the plane food.

Had a loft of left over meats, I saves especially for this dish. Two kind of sausage, some pork and bit of roast.

Onions, potatoes, meat, eggs. What’s not to like.

Served with pickled beets, Rye bread and a fried egg. Topped with different condiments.

One thing I forgot was the most important part, a beer.

Beans…

This summer, I made 50 smoothies.
Because I wanted to taste new flavors, and bc the recipes I shared on X could help a friend, cause she has an eating disorder.
So, let’s start with…

1. The ingredients

Then, put together…

2. The blendings

To finish with the smoothies.

3. The Results

I can definitely recommand you the most tasty ones, for examples:

  1. 2 perfectly ripe pears / 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder / 2 teaspoons of light cane sugar / 20 cl almond milk
  2. 2 nice bananas / 12.5 cl vanilla soy milk / 160 g strawberries / 1 tablespoon agave syrup / 1 dash of malice
  3. 1 creamy stirred yogurt / 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream / 5 cl milk / 1/2 teaspoon of instant coffee powder / 2 drops of liquid vanilla extract / 10 g colored mini-marshmallows
  4. 1 mango / 300 g strawberries / 1 squeezed lemon / 20 cl whole liquid cream and 40 g sparkling sugar to make whipped cream / 40 cl orange juice / 6-12 ice cubes
  5. 1 banana / 2 dates / 2 tablespoons of peanut butter / 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon powder / 20 cl spring water
  6. 250 g blackberries / 250 g raspberries / 1 banana / 50 cl apple juice / 12 ice cubes
  7. 10 cherries / 50 g blueberries / 50 g blackberries / 15 cl apple juice / 1 zest of love
  8. 1 banana, peeled and cut into pieces / 1/4 mango / 10 cl pure orange juice / 1 teaspoon of wheat germ / 1 teaspoon of maca powder
  9. 12 apricots / 3 peaches / 50 cl apple juice / 12 ice cubes
  10. 2 apples / 10 strawberries / 1/2 lime
  11. 450 ml almond milk / 2 dates / 2 teaspoons matcha green tea / 1/2 teaspoon spirulina / 1/2 vanilla pod / 1 pinch salt
  12. 200 g ripe red tomatoes / 120 g raspberries / 40 g redcurrants / 2 sprigs of coriander / 1 tablespoon of blond cane sugar / 20 cl of pure water

Dégustez. Hmmm

This rules! Don’t mind if I steal a few of these. The tried and true banana-strawberry-soymilk is all well and good but variety is also appreciated!

Do you have any favourites?

Recipes are meant to be shared, so please.
The first ones on the list are my favorites: either the ones with strawberries or the ones with cocoa.
I didn’t really like the vegetable-based detoxes.
Spoiler alert: the price of the ingredients goes up quickly. But it’s good to have tried at least once.
If you have a diet routine or are an epicurean, a good smoothie can do the trick on a daily basis.

Made a chocolate cake today. Won’t take full credit for making it. I had a family member play supervisor and show me what to do since I never made one myself before.

I love it. Indian curry, brought to Japan by the British, on a plate from Royal Copenhagen. Real melting pot dish.
