If ever arrested, will Agent 47 be treated like a regular criminal because he is an assassin? Or will he receive special consideration because he was biologically designed to kill people?
Despite having committed crimes legally, Agent 47 has saved the world many times by targeting terrorists like Franz Fuchz, (who was about to bomb a hotel in Hungary filled with prominent leaders) eliminated drug lords like Pablo Ochoa and Rico Delgado, dangerous arms dealers like Boris, he eliminated an international terrorist wanted by the UN- Sergei Zavarotko, he protected the US President from Daniel Morris and Parchezzi, (for which normal civilians would get medal and what not) he destroyed a virus that would have been very dangerous for the world- considering all this, will the legal system show him mercy, or will they just carry out blind justice?
I doubt 47 would get any special treatment in legal systems if he was caught regardless of him doing ānobleā assassinations of certain bad people.
However a big factor is that 47 is a āleave no traceā type of guy. Being a Silent Assassin means destroying any security camera footage, not being seen doing something illegal, and making sure the targets are killed cleanly either by what appears to be natural deaths (i.e. the traceless Fatalidomide poison) or accidents.
47 was also genetically engineered to have a generic face, Noel Crest even points out that he thinks heād forget 47 after just a few minutes. Now yes of course the bald white guy in the middle of Mumbai or Chongqing is likely going to seem mysterious, but 47 is always able to make a quick getaway from several possible points in a location. Even if he were captured by authorities as a suspect, they wouldnāt have any direct evidence to pin on him.
It really depends on who manages to actually capture 47. Letās say heās caught in a predominantly English-speaking country; Australia, Canada, England, or America, just for example; similar police and armed forces structure, similar laws and court systems. If 47 is captured by the military or an intelligence agency in one of these countries, heās gonna be thrown into a hole and never be seen by anyone again.
If heās caught by regular police, assuming he was caught in the act or some kind of evidence against him is found, most likely from a recent job because heās left no viable evidence so far, then heās gonna be acquitted on reasonable doubt, if charges are ever even filed. But, if he were to be found guilty, the prison industrial complex will make a deal with either the government or a military contractor and begin studying 47 in an effort to not only recreate Dr. Ort-Meyerās cloning technique, but also his genetic engineering methods to make enhanced humans. The military will likely do the same if itās them who catches him.
So if 47 were ever arrested, it depends firstly by whom, and secondly if thereās any evidence sufficient to bring him to trial. But if heās ever incarcerated, heāll become a guinea pig for the rest of his days.
47 was the closest to being arrested in Absolution and Chicago P.D. supposedly had a hint of who he was. Despite that, they still couldnāt catch or profile him too well. I think that realistically he would not be given special treatment and go through the usual proceedings. The justice system which would deal with him would be decided through a flip of an ICA Outstanding Service coin.
There was a theory on here though that in the 2016 beta game, IOI was experimenting with the idea of him being arrested. There were talks of crime scenes being present in concept art(?) and that the āfake arrestā thing 47 does might have actually led to something else at some point. But take that with a grain of salt.
I just get this crazy idea that 47 would still carry out contracts on prisoners and guards alike for prison currency like cigarettes, food and special privileges.
Was just thinking that myself, but heād have to be under an alias, and heād have to maintain that through the arrest, the booking, the arraignment, sentencing, and incarceration. Iām not sure even 47 is capable of keeping up a ruse for that long on that deep of a dive into the system. And of course, Diana would have to be on the outside ready to help enact the escape plan, which would need to involve either a massive bribe, or have an extraction team standing by, which runs the risk of unnecessary bodies getting dropped. Super risky.
Or the āprosecutionās caseā (all part of the ruse that got him in in the 1st place) was suddenly found to be fraudulent due to new evidence submitted and heās free to go.
On the topicā¦ Seems highly unlikely heād get caught (found out), let alone captured. Letās suppose Skurky wasnāt crooked, and having intel from Dexterā¦ I dunno, informs the Feds, or the CIA (similar to ICA).
Well, (youāre asking the wrong person here) theyād probably see him as an asset/agent of another organization. Theyād probably have to consider if any of the people he ātook care ofā were vital to their interests (although, theyād have to KNOW it was him that did whatever, and thatās supposed to be unknown. So I understand this could be an issue, but who knows what they know?). So, if he was put away - itād be in a super high security facility, probably off-shore or way out in some remote location, likely underground. If not that theyād just off him and dispose of his remains completely.
That is, unless they decide to try to convince him to work for them. No use in letting such talent go to waste. But whose to say he wouldnāt defect back to the ICA once heās no longer imprisoned.
Edit: How might he get out if the above scenario were the case? Well, heās 47. Assuming this is a game reality - heād just do what he does. If not outright sneaking out via some hidden tunnel or passage, heād get disguises, key cards, top clearance codes, or whatever. Tools to open or break intoā¦ We all know and get the idea.
Well, if heās trying to get into the court system for a long-term mission, this would be the case. If heās trying to get into the prison system, then he wouldnāt go to trial, heād plead guilty to get locked away asap.
If he were in the court systemā¦ Iām going to assume this if for a job and the court doesnāt know who or what 47 really is.
So his target might not be going anywhere (soon) if theyāre wherever heās going to be sent. So, no rush needed by pleading guilty. And there might be other factors (or influences) that get the case moving along faster anywayā¦ instead of waiting months for a case to go to trial.
But even such a scenario isnāt all that practical if itās to get to a target thatās in prison. But it could be a matter of finding that person, and being amongst the general population might be the only way of weeding them out. Maybe āblending inā as a prison guard wouldnāt be out of the question, but thatās disregarding the whole ābeing arrestedā theme.
This almost sounds like a very interesting mission one could play. I mean, without the waiting to get in. lol
In the movie he was nearly arrested by the Russian FSB though given that he just killed the President of Russia I doubt they wouldāve even bothered taking him alive had Interpol not shown up. Of course Interpol had him for a short while until an out of character not to mention wearing clothes for once version of Agent Smith suddenly showed up and allowed him to escape.
Birdie definitely should be the subject of 47ās revenge. Faulkner too though I think he slowly realized 47 wasnāt the man he thought he was to the point he looks the other way when he escaped. 47 probably wouldāve been close to shooting Faulkner but spared his lifeā¦no such mercy for the so-called bird man.
I personally have headcannoned that the ICA sent another agent to take Faulkner out at no charge to 47 as a favor for dealing with Travisās bullshit for them. Seems like the kind of thing theyād do.
As for Birdie, he probably kept his head down, but he and 47 do need to settle up.
Maybe that would be the case in some countries. In most countries heād still go to trial even if heād plead guilty.
But knowing 47 heād probably get arrested suit only and escape suit onlyā¦
