Whittleton Creek and Sapienza I’m very close to wanting made optional since there’s still a reason to kill the virus because it affects the level and WC the clues feel a lot like the tornado shelter in how they’re kind of repetitive. However, I really like the virus and I kind of like the clues. So I think completely optional might be too much. The virus has become easier with time and unlocks. I think making getting any 3 clues count towards the objective rather than 3 of each category might be a better way of making that objective more fun.
Going for cigar box, letter and lawsuit makes this relatively quick and easy to obtain, considering that they’re close to each other, and you don’t need go for disguise or attic.
To be honest I myself find Whittleton Creek clues one of the most tedious of secondary objectives. Still if we would really want to make changes, they would need to be logical. If objectives become optional just because, the premise of mission would make no sense.
Yeah the benefit of WC’s mission a target least is that the clues aren’t mentioned as objectives at the end of the briefing like The Bank’s is. But at the same time they are mentioned within the briefing.
They’re definitely one of more vague objectives, so that leaves some space to work with for possible changes.
I think the categories thing really does make it more tedious than it needs to be. There’s three or four easy clues next to Janus (robe, gramophone, picture, diary) but you NEED to go for the microfilm since that specifically gives you the Constant clue and the others don’t. Imo the long to get clues like the cigar box, the tape and the microfilm should give you two clues at least.

Is this still a thing in H3? If yes, there is no reason to keep those starting locations tied to default suit.
I would like to have actual police in Sapienza that would replace bodyguards. Sapienza is not real, so there would not be conflict with actual law enforcement.
To have a few would make sense, but the bodyguards in Sapienza are meant to be CICADA like the lab guards, so they’re still part of Ether’s detail.
I agree, but I’m also a bit worried if letting us take a sniper into these areas could mess up balancing. But then again, it would be cool to take a sniper for Contracts in Paris.
In terms of Paris there wouldn’t be much of a problem because even on master mode, it’s a matter of sneaking into attic room for around 2 minutes to get briefcase, Hokkaido on the other side is a pain when I go to the garage in suit only, though I don’t think there’s much of an incentive to go for briefcase when the virus will spread in the meantime.
Even if there is a balancing issue that I can’t see, I don’t care about the briefcase, I just want to wear something different from tux
.
Interesting, I thought you were able to be at the auction in whatever suit you wanted; it was just a weird quirk that 47’s image was on it. Could have sworn I’ve been there as Santa.
I do hate the forced suit starts though. For a game that puts emphasis on playing dress up, to restrict what personal suit you wear in these starting locations is very odd
Of course it’s a screenshot from H2 so take it with a grain of salt, but I think I saw the same on someones H3 playthrough
The IAGO auction start has unfortunately always been restricted to the default Tuxedo.
Seems like a decision made during the release of Episode 1 without considering (or knowing about) the variety of suits that would come later.
…Either that or it’s all for the sake of a Bond reference, given that it’s a Tuxedo and you’ll always get the “Rieper. Tobias Rieper” conversation when starting there.
It’s still a thing in H3 but there’s a mod that removes the restriction for offline mode.
That plays no matter what suit you’re wearing though, no?
Yea, but the Tuxedo is probably forced due to it being an homage of sorts to it.
We don’t really need that forced anymore, since it’s been years and we’ve got plenty of suits to use for that suit starting location. Would be great if they could remove it, I agree.
I’ve wanted this change since 2016 too, and now that we have the turtleneck patient zero would be nice also.
A lot of Hitman III locations force a starting suit on the default entry points too - obviously for thematic purposes on the first playthrough - but it would be nice to unlock those too.
Agreed. We didn’t have much (or any?) of restricted-suit starting locations in Hitman 2. I get why they went back to it for #3, since each level has some sort of cinematic, tailored start. But I also get why there’s a second or third Suit-based starting location, too. To get around that scripted sequence and into a suit of your choice.
I’d love for escalations to show the targets on the loading screen again. I wanna say this is still there on contracts but I don’t remember. I’d also love for the black background to have a faint globe in the background like in 2016. Another thing that’d be cool would be above the targets in a contract or escalation there’d be a list of all the complications.
Leaderboards are focused around gameplay, not story.
They can not do the optional objective.
Can’t level up mastery.
Who plays mumbai in the first place?
No, pay attention to context
But you can still turn them off, whats the point here?
Never wanted sapienza to remove the virus, it’s not an objective, it’s literally a target.
He’s the easiest target, in the entire game.
You’re getting sadistic at this point. Just keep doing what you do and let other players play the game how you want to. If you really want the game like this, mod it or make your own game.
dear god
