I somewhat disagree. Once you know the routines (ie. That I can just poison his drink every time regardless of which NPC face he takes on) then it’s not much of a puzzle anyways.
Yeah but that’s a scripted mission story. I don’t think it’s the fault of the gimmick that people are lazy. Just like how most people use the shaman powder to kill Soders, should Soders be made optional as a target? Of course not.
True, I don’t think the target itself should be optional but I don’t see an issue with a highlight a la Berlin. It makes it no less of a puzzle than the fact that there is a mission story tied to it. It might seem “lazy” of the player but all the same the challenge completionists are going to stumble across that anyways.
Because the whole point is that he’s The Ghost. The entire scripting is around him trying to be elusive. The Berlin targets are meant to be easy pickings.
Some new starting locations and exits would be nice in Hawke’s bay. Maybe we can have something like Dartmoor, starting at the boat, beach or office after they have arrived.
And some more exits like a car exit.
Yeah weird they haven’t added that in from the Politician.
I want the ability to save a loadout back.
In H2 you could hit a key and save your current loadout as the default for that map.
It’s gone now, and I want it back!
Now the game saves your loadout automatically with no need of additional actions.
Though I would like so that starting points also being saved
being able to change the text size in the mini map.
Toggle display of all starting locations, hidden stash, gear storage location available in a mini-map available when choosing starting location, hidden stash, and gear storage location.
It just saves your previous one. So if I change anything, it carries that forward, instead of going back to my Flamingo with a lockpick and classic coins, with a fish in a briefcase in a stash and an odd starting location.
I still want to be able to tag items as ‘favourites’ so you don’t have to go through the whole list to get your most commonly used gear (most people probably only use the same 10 items)
A change to the ICA facility guard uniforms. It feels awkward that they follow the same color scheme for both regular and high level security as the guards in Dubai.
Who gives a shit? people play games how they want to, you don’t have control over how people enjoy games. Enjoy it how you want to, but what the fuck is this rant about, honestly?
Some are, look at that dumbass who was whining on the “Removal of electrocution phone in h3”
People aren’t lobotomised, they just wanna have a good time. As a somewhat casual player, I play with instinct off and the minimap off, but I skip the optional objectives because I’ve done them already, and the story isn’t exactly what I’m going for anymore
Couldn’t have said it better, but definitely weaker than H1, but not H2
Although IO have somehow managed to make the WOA appeal to a larger audience, and the games are still good ![]()
Why is your point based around how others are supposed to play the game? If some random guy uses instinct and skips objectives, why do you care, it’s not you playing the game
If you’re compelled to having the plot make sense 100% of the time, once again, do the objective.
White uniform, cool color beret; dark uniform, red beret.
Both seem too close for comfort for me. Seems strange they’d pick such a similar design for completely different groups, colors aside.
The colors wouldn’t be so bad, since they’re based around clearance level, but combined with the uniform design they’re too similar.
So glad there is not one colour-blind person in The Sceptre and ICA Facility
Sniper assasin indicator like silent assasin indicator.
I understand that most people couldn’t care less about objectives and treat them as nonessential to fun and gameplay. For me however they seem relevant to the experience almost as much as targets themselves. I absolutely can get behind Colorado shelter removal, because it forced you to go just with one exit, but I fail to see such restrictions with other objectives, to justify changing them into optional.
By that logic I shouldn’t care if someone wants to cheat at the leaderboards.
They can use contracts mode then. Which is way easier than to program in a skip objectives option. In fact with contracts mode they can also skip targets they don’t like, it’s a win win scenario. Just because it’s “not how they want to play” doesn’t mean it’s good. Some people want to play Hitman as a mass murder simulator, should they get silent assassin for doing it?
But you’re asking for non-story objectives to be skipped. You’re asking for the Maelstrom to be highlighted, THE WHOLE POINT OF HIM IS TO BE SECRET.
So do you think the ePhone should be added back in? Or are you a hypocrite.
Yeah and you need to turn off half the hud to make the games good. The casualised elements of WOA are the worst parts of a great series. Mission stories? Boring. Instinct? Could use an option to make only the target visible. Challenges? Rip discovery away from the player unless you turn them off.
It’s not just “the plot” the entire level is structured around these objectives. The virus is part of the contract, if there was no virus you wouldn’t need to kill Silvio and DeSantis. The Malestrom’s whole character is based around randomised appearances. The NY bank and Dartmoor have objectives to make routing a challenge instead of just “kill this easy target and leave in 50 seconds”. Should we remove Soders from Hokkaido? Should we make eliminating Tamara optional since it’s too hard for the casuals? Should we make it so on replays there’s no trespassing areas because the average player is too stupid to play the video game? I have more faith in gamers than that, they can be stupid but not THAT stupid.
