What Videogame(s) Are You Playing?

In the meantime I started Signalis but it did not click sadly. It is a cyberpunk top-down shooter with actually neat design, but it is a bit too unforgiving and repetitive for my taste. Too bad!

After that I played The Thaumaturge which was okay I think. It is a RPG in 1900s Poland where some people can see and utilize some kind of demons. I liked the setting, the fight system is really interesting. Reminds me of Pokemon. :joy: But in the end it somehow was not entertaining enough to try other decisions.

Then I began playing Frostpunk yesterday and I having a blast. I am sure this will keep me occupied for some time! For those who don’t know, it is a city builder in a world that is basically frozen over. So far I like that the city never grows to unmanageable sizes. Well designed game. I heard Frostpunk 2 is something else entirely so I probably stick only to this one.

Me and @Silvereyes played a round of Super Mario Party online together earlier we uh got our asses kicked by the recommended difficultly ai after making fun of them for being abit dum

All 4 of us landed on every single ! Space on the climb up to the star so it took like 8 turns for someone to get their first star also forgot to screenshot it but silver landed on like 4 bad luck spaces :sob:

Hades is so addictive I hardly play anything else. Luckily there is the Hitman Switch 2 edition allowing me to rediscover that and put some playtime in. Hades 2 is a disappointment for me so far, maybe I have to get into it a bit more but Hades pulled me in right from the start so it’s not very promising. Both the weapons, enemies and dialogues all feel less fun. (Question for English speakers: can one still say “both” when there were more than two elements enumerated? What should one say? It feels wrong.)

Lol you can see the spike at Turn 10, probably after you called the CPU dumb, they’re like “okay fine, time to lock in, no stars for you” :joy:

Not really. Both = 2. But we’d understand what you mean; it doesn’t hinder comprehension, just sounds a little odd if you think about it. Honestly, some native English speakers would probably say it colloquially without thinking about it.

But you’d be better off without a word there at all, simply listing the items:

the weapons, enemies and dialogues all feel less fun.

Don’t even need the ‘all’

Well after a fortnight, way too many friendship activities (and several DUIs) and 300 dead birds later I have finally 100 percented GTAIV.

Next I need to head back west so I can show up to defend my home…

Bought Gears of War reloaded on PS5 as it was on sale. Having been a fan of that series on the 360, it feels quite surreal playing it on a PlayStation.

I know that upon completion I’m going to want to play 2 and 3 again.

Started playing Red Dead Redemption 2. Had it on Steam for almost two years and never played it. A few hours in and I’m not sold, yet. The controls are kind of odd. Probably will get used to it over time.

This game is so annoying, i tried playing through it multiple times but always stopped. The game tries too hard to be realistic. In RDR1 skinning an animal is like a 3 second cutscene and its fine, i dont need to see a 20 second Animation like in rdr2. Same with looting bodies and chests and the worst part is that all your guns get glued to your horse, the weapon wheel from rdr1 did a better job.

That sounds great and awful at the same time  I personally agree with the longer skinning animation, but I get that must be annoying if you’re hunting for loads of things and feel like you’re spending half your time skinning them. Would’ve been nice if you could bring them back to your camp and skin them en masse later. Good for roleplaying though, I guess!

Yeah personally this is why I prefer the longer animation times and things like that. I was incredibly immersed in it so it wasn’t a game I was trying to rush.

A fellow roleplayer I see  not many games are good for it! But it’s good when you find one that is

Should probably add GTA 6 will have more systems from RDR2 and less systems from GTA 5.

Rockstar will keep on pushing the envelope for immersion and by extension detailed worlds, and animations will be apart of this.

Figured I’d set that expectation given people have strong feelings about details and nuances RDR2 has.

Portal 2 is worth it  that is, if you enjoyed Portal 1  it’s set in the same facility, after the destructive events of the first game, so the environment feels familiar yet different

Great games. Shame neither are available on PS plus.
