Wait, so if this is a replica of one of the old physical costumes+model sets…

That means back in the day a dude was playing a mecha-dude while playing another dude. :man_standing::robot::t_rex: whoa.

We appreciate your support for our domestic automotive industry! Hope it serves you long and well. Škoda actually has assembling plants abroad, China included, but this model indeed seems to be made at home.

Why did that sound like an ad  and why name a car maker ‘pity’? :stuck_out_tongue:

I´m wondering, did you know the meaning of the word beforehand or search for it to find out? It can also mean “shame” in the same context like “pity”, or “damage” - yeah, not the words you´d want to associate with a car (manufacturer)

But as you´ve probably checked, it was the name of the founder of the original industrial conglomerate: Emil von Škoda - Wikipedia

I knew the word already but only now saw you write ‘Škoda’ and then I made the connection between the manufacturer and the meaning of the word

The Cross model is larger than the standard Yaris. It was manageable with one child.

I thought of you, I switched a car out from your country of resident to one from your country of origin. Probably would have stayed with Toyota if it wasn’t due to their Elective SUV isn’t that great and pretty ugly.

It is indeed, however it’s unavoidable that parts will be made china. I just don’t want to give my money to Chinese owned company.

I feel bad avoiding Chinese companies because it feels like I’m being racist. But it’s not against the people, it’s against the laws that give the government a stake in every China-domiciled company and making foreign data harvesting mandatory

I have no such hesitations, because it’s not against an ethnic groupe. But not wanting to support a regime. I don’t want to buy an american car either, due to Trumps anti europe and Nato rhetoric.

I could have saved around 100.000 dkk / 15-16.000 dollars for going with a Chinese car, with similar specs.

Bought this Nigel Cabourn turtle neck.

As part of my quest to buy more lasting clothing of better built quality.

That looks sharp! Are you a fold out or fold in guy when it comes to turtle necks?

I prefer to fold it out in general. Protection from the cold weather during the winter months.

I’m an outtie with heavier shirts like the one you just got and an innie with dressy type turtle necks that I’d wear under a blazer.

Do you fold the neck inwards, so it’s not visible? I do like to wear a suit and mix it with a turtle neck. However if I understand you correctly, I wouldn’t fold it inward.

I’m also very new to turtlenecks, I currently own one I navy. That I use with suits, I believe I worn it less then 5 times in a period of 6-7 years. I recently began to use it again.

Not a purchase but gift from my wife on my birthday.

Best feature of this headphone is it can connect to PS5 bluetooth or via Aux on joypad. It can connect to PC via Aux/bluetooth. And on mobile via Aux.

There is option of 3D surround audio on PS5 setting.

I can feel the NPC’s position behind me when it is speaking in Hitman game. Need to try in COD Warzone next time I install it again.

:crown: :dragon: :fire: decided she wanted a dive watch. She’s never worn an automatic before. I am excited and nervous. Nervous she’ll hate it and then hate my expensive “bad habit” even more, and also nervous she’ll love it and then every time I get a new one I’ll have to also get her one which will make my habit cost twice as much lol. Anyway she found a micro brand from Denmark that uses Japanese movements and assembles in China. You get what you pay for, and this wont be the worlds most exquisite piece, but they also appear to be competitive when compared to other micro brands I am familiar with and ones I know are not total ripoffs. I am positive the bracelet will be trash though :joy: It’s basically a Blancpain 50 fathoms knock off except that they have super interesting colourful dials. I think it’s a great tester watch to see if she’s gonna get addicted, and if she doesn’t I’ll happily add this to my collection.

Never heard of them before, I might keep an eye out for them. I’m saving up to buy an Omega Seamaster watch when I turn 40. They also look interesting though. Currently I’m also looking for a watch as my daily driver. I’m fallen for a watch from another Danish micro brand called Tangent.

It’s a watched inspired by 70’s watches, it also uses Japanese movements. I’ve really fallen for their watch with a black dial. It also comes in white and green. I’m planning to purchase in a few months.

But in other news, what I actually bought lately.

Red Dead Redemption for PC on steam, while it was on a discount.

and a pair of pair of Stetson gloves in Rough out leather.

It’s a pretty watch. What do they want for it? Also which Seamaster(s) are you looking at? The new planet oceans have no date and I love the symmetry on the dials now, and there are a ton of colour options for the aquaterra that have me interested.

just as your first ferrari should be red, your first omega should be or at least have some orange in it (-; Can be hard to match with clothing though so I won’t be upset if you go with blue

Around half the price of the one you’re considering for your wife.

I don’t have a specific one currently, It depends on which I find down the line. Colour, I’ll probably go with the a blue, black or white.

Well I look forward to seeing what you decide on. I have a mostly black planet ocean with orange trim and I LOVE IT. It was my first “big boy watch” that I bought with my own money and I’ll never sell it, but I always wished they made a no date model when I was looking, and now they do (=
